[There's a new face on the video, a woman decked all in red with a stern expression.] I understand what it's being claimed has happened to us. Things like this have happened to me before.

But my previous experiences with involuntary interdimensional travels have been less than positive. [She folds her arms and grimaces at the screen.] So what I want to know is why I should believe what I've been told.

[Wanda frowns slightly.] Last time I was pulled across universes it was to unwillingly participate in a gladiatorial competition being broadcast to the masses.

This is turning out more pleasant so far, at least.

Someone mentioned there's a gladiatorial arena here, but I don't think I've seen anyone mention we're forced to participate.

[And that's a good thing. A very, very good thing.]

Who would? [He pauses.] At least we don't have to worry about that here, not from what I've seen, at least.

[His first instinct is to give a false name. He hates that instinct, but he has to shove it down all the same.

Except, before he responds, it does occur to him that she gave him a false name.]

We don't really have an invested interest in you taking our word for it, except maybe please don't try to destroy the cities, if that's something in your power.

I assume there are people here who'd work to stop me, and even if not, cities, plural, is more than I could manage in an afternoon. [There's a slight smirk that she hopes indicates that she's joking, but her sense of humor is still a work in progress.] I'll try to restrain myself.

You'll pardon if I'm not exactly in good humor about it. We just had someone try to raise a stone army to conquer a city. It's not something unknown to happen.

[genoshas_general]

It's hardly unheard of at home either. You get used to -- [She cute herself off and shakes her head.] What I mean is, you don't have to worry about me doing anything like that.

Good to hear.

Will you need any assistance getting settled? The most likely circumstance is you will be here for awhile. You'll need a place to live, perhaps to work.

Well you weren't the first mutant I thought I would end up seeing here.

What you heard is true, Wanda.

[Wanda raises an eyebrow at that. She's not exactly low-profile in mutant society, but being addressed by her first name by someone she doesn't recognize isn't something she's used to.] Have we met?

I don't need to have met you to know who you are. You're pretty infamous among mutants. Though I guess the same can kind of be said about me.

[genoshas_general]

[Wanda studies him again, trying to remember if she knows anything that could help place him.] I'm not surprised to be recognized. But you used my first name.

[rulerofme]

I don't know what is so weird about it. Would you prefer Scarlet Witch?

[genoshas_general]

That is what most people call me.

[rulerofme]

Calling you by your codename is so informal. But if that's what you want.

You don't have to believe it, but considering that essentially everyone here has come to similar conclusions you don't have much else to go on. Either you accept what we're saying is true as far as we know or you decide that everyone is out to get you and trust no one. I think the choice that would be easier to work with is obvious.

[genoshas_general]

[Wanda scoffs.] Easier, but not safer. To trust any of you, I'd need more than it just being convenient.

[She sighs, and makes a clumsy attempt at looking apologetic.] But it is a good enough reason to cooperate.

By that reasoning, anything that we say could be interpreted as false information, even if we know we can prove it to our standards. There are plenty of people who shouldn't be trusted around here, but at the very least you should try to accept that not everyone is lying to you. For one thing? We're all stuck in the same situation; those who want out of it don't have a reason to lie.

If you're willing to cooperate for now, I can answer any questions you might have.

[Wanda nods, half mumbling a thank you.] I am. My question is what kind of cooperation would help the most. I have significant experience with combat, combat tactics and demolition. [She offers a sad smile, her best attempt at being self-deprecating.] And that's all.

You're hardly the only one going through here whose capabilities lie in combat fields. Luckily for you, there are plenty of jobs available that fit those skills particularly since this place isn't always safe even if it tries to be. [ Unfortunately, more problems are caused by the people who were brought here than Genessia itself.. but Weiss will get to that. ] But for right now all you need to do is understand that we're not planning on telling you lies. If what's in those pamphlets wasn't true, I would've taken it upon myself to provide corrected information already. Find some place to stay- I would recommend Amagi Inn for your first night- and take a breather before you get too involved in anything.

I can breathe fine now. [Patience is definitely not one of her skills.] I'm not so overwhelmed that I need to waste time doing nothing. If there is work I can be doing, I'd like to start on it without delay.
