[VIDEO]
[A relatively pretty young woman (with a nose that looks like it's been broken at least twice) appears in the video screen, which frizzes out for a brief moment, as it adjusts to the Magic that she lives with. Of course, since she is far too used to Magic, well. She also has a little bit of trouble using the communicator. By which I mean: she is practically barking into the damned thing!]
Oi! Anyone want to hook me up with a room for the night? I mean, I dunno where to go, honestly: other than a No-Tell Motel, that is to say... And I dunno I really want to stay there, at least, alone... So... Unless someone else wants to offer to stay with me...?
[And she winks softly into the camera lens as she adds quickly:]
I mean, I do have money, from that damned "Welcoming Committee" in the Bay Area and I can pay for the whole bloody suite by myself, and clean it in the morning, too, but-- well. I just don't want to be alone, under my "own" roof, tonight... Honestly, this whole bloody town is just too weird, and I'm half-convinced it's a fever dream brought on by the anaesthetics that I'm under for my recovery from this damned Severing Charm...
[She grimaces slightly now, as she suddenly recalls the very incident that put her into this situation in the first place.]

video;
[He's never been himself though, but he's heard things from customers at his own place of business.]
Re: video;
[And she now sighs raggedly, almost sounding hoarse, and rubs absently at her bruised throat.] You don't know where I've come from. The "paranoia" shan't "destroy ya" if there really IS someone out to get you!
video;
[And where he came from was a mess in itself.]
video;
[She clears her throat weakly, and reaches up to gingerly touch the bruised area, again.] I mean-- a little later, maybe? After I've got my voice back properly...?
video;
video;
I have a house in Everglade.
[ The girl sounded pretty distressed, even if Porrim was a little leery of inviting strangers from strange places. ]
Video;
I mean-- [And now Maria notices the-- unusual, almost green but definitely greyish, pallor on the video screen with this offer.] I mean: you're not... Sick with anything-- er-- contagious, are you...? Just making sure, you understand!

Remember Porrim, she's in distress! ]
No, nothing like that. I'm just not human. And don't worry about payment, it doesn't cost me anything to put you up. It's what the guest room is for, really.

Of course I'll pay you... I mean, seriously? If I have to have human food-- and LOTS of it, mind you; I am deceptively hungry for my size, honestly-- and of course, you could be using the guest room for-- I dunno... Maybe "guests"? I mean, honestly: I believe that you must have some friends, elsewhere, who might want to stay with you-- or am I wrong?

Paying me would actually be a very big inconvenience. It would totally throw off all my financial calculations, you'd actually be doing me a favor just by staying in the house.
[ Lying liar that lies. Also notice the skillful dodge of that species question. ]

[But even so, she's a sharp one, who recognises that her question has been avoided, at least, on PUBLIC channels... And so... She decides to test out the "text" feature of this "phone" thingummy...]
Well, I dunno about you, but one of my dearest friends back at home was a lycanthrope... Although, of course, he NEVER looked quite as grey of complexion as you!
text;
I'm afraid I don't know what that is.
