[Sun starts up the video feed and he’s all bundled up for winter. He’s got on a thermal shirt, and another large sleeve shirt. That and a big parka. No, Sun doesn’t do well in the cold at all. He’s sitting in the park at the moment with a hot chocolate in his gloved hands.]

So, I like the Holidays that come with winter and all. But can we skip over the cold weather? No one would mind, right?

[A big bird lands behind him and caws. Sun sighs and looks back to it.]

Yes, I know you would mind. But you are basically winter incarnate so..your opinion doesn’t get to count. [The bird caws again, sounding like it disagrees with its opinion not getting to count.]

So is anyone else here totally against the cold or is it just me?

You'd be fine if you just put on an undershirt and a jacket, rolled down your pant legs and put on some decent socks and boots. There are some who would say its a disservice to mankind to button up your shirt, but I think it'd probably do you a favor if you did.

[ Of course it is, because Articuno is gorgeous and icy-looking. ] I can tell. I think Articuno and I are on the same side of this argument.

I wish I didn't have to. Maybe I should start searching this place to see if there is a way to control the water. Or pray to the spirits to give us eternal summer.

[If not, then he just has to deal with wearing summer wear.]

I don't know if that is a good or bad thing. [They only need one ice diva in the RWBY house.]

It's too bad I had Atmo forget Sunny Day.

[ It still knows Hail, but that's mostly because the majority of her Pokemon are/were ice types. She gets the feeling that telling Sun that she most definitely has a Pokemon that could change the weather and decided to have her forget the one move that made it hot and sunny was probably a terrible idea. Oh well. ]

I suppose I could use a break anyway. [ Preparing for events is fun, but difficult. She'll keep her phone on while she puts a few things away. ]

So basically you had a chance to give me the warm winter that I wanted and you unknowingly crushed those chances for me? Why am I not surprised. [That's just so you, Weiss.]

We'll be waiting. [He sips his warm drink.]

Because I was thinking about my Pokemon and not about my roommate's inability to handle weather. Next time I have the opportunity to control the weather, I'll be sure to keep all of those moves.

[ Now she can only have her Castform change it to a hailstorm so, y'know, perfect. After that, Weiss hangs up so she can go meet up with Sun and Articuno. She'll be dressed in a warm outfit with warm boots... but it's still a skirt which probably looks freezing to someone like Sun. It's nowhere near cold enough for Weiss to even bother with full stockings or anything. Just nice and toasty. She's also made room inside of her coat for her her PokeBalls and everything. ]

Hello. [ ...Is she talking to Articuno or Sun? It looks like Articuno. It's definitely to Articuno she looks so pleased to meet it. ]

[Of course she's talking to the bird. She has that same look on her face as she does when she sees an adorable animal. Articuno sizes her up, taking note that she isn't as bundled up as Sun is. It makes Articuno think that this girl is much better built for the cold.

It caws and flaps its wings some approvingly before leaning down some to Weiss so she can touch it. Articuno being a 5' 7" bird its pretty big.]

I'm over here too, you know.

[ Honestly, she probably could've gone with less- but she always dresses with a jacket and boots on, so it was more a fashion choice than anything indicating her temperature preference. Weiss gives Articuno a little curtsey after it seems to approve of her, then goes to pet it. She rolls her eyes at Sun while she does. ]

Hi to you too Sun. [ While she's still giving the big bird special attention with her hand, even.. ]

[Articuno is cool to the touch, being an ice Pokemon and all. It enjoys the affection that Weiss is showing to it.]

You know, if I didn't know better, I'd say you only came out here to meet that ice bird and not to hang with your friend. [Articuno wouldn't have seen anything wrong with it if that were the case.]

I am fully capable of doing both.

[ Weiss doesn't even shiver at how cool Articuno is or anything. She's fine with the cold. (She probably has cold hands herself anyway.) ]

In all fairness, Articuno is very beautiful and intelligent so I don't think you can blame me for taking an interest. You're also the one who wants to get rid of my favorite season, so I think you can stand to take a little cold shoulder.

[ Still, she'll tiptoe a circle around Articuno so she's at least closer to Sun. See? Hanging! She's in hanging distance! ]

[Hanging out at a distance barely counts as hanging out, Weiss.]

It's only your favorite season because you are cold are like, BFFs. [Hence another reason why she is called Ice Queen. Articuno likes the praise that Weiss gave it! Sun never says anything like that.]

I did manager to keep quite a few Pokemon. Though Articuno is the only ice type. [He kept more fire types than anything.]

I have a fire horse named Rapidash. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind teaching me to ride it. I just assume your family probably owns a horse or a ranch or a few dozen ranches. [So Weiss probably knows how to ride one is his thinking.]

My last name literally means "Snow," my sister's name is Winter, and I'm very good with ice. I don't think you can blame me for liking it.

[ Sun can come closer too, not just Weiss! ]

Almost all of the Pokemon I was able to keep were ice types. My Growlithe and Charizard are my only ones who- [ A pause. ] Well, Castform isn't either but she knows ice-type moves and when it's cold out she turns into an icicle so she practically counts. [ She only isn't calling them by their names because she knows Sun wouldn't know them. ]

That's rude to assume every rich person knows how to ride a horse but it happens that I do, so I suppose I can.

[There is too much ice stuff over there for him to risk coming near.]

Your sister's name is Winter? Wow. Your family really does love the cold season, huh? [Not to mention her emblem is a snowflake. How has he never noticed this connection before?]

You hear that, Articuno? There are other ice types in the same house that you live in. Play nice, and I might see if Weiss will let you hang out with them. [Articuno caws. It translates to: Yeah right. I will hang out with them if I want to.]

Owning horses and horse riding is kind of a rich person hobby. And you happen to be a Schnee. There is rich and then there is being Schnee Rich.

Of course we do. We're from Atlas, too, and it's colder there than it is in Vale or Vacuo. [ At least it's very far north and their schools uniform covers literally everything but their face and the continent is pretty much covered in snow on the region-showing map so pretty much 100% sure it's freezing there. ]

They can spend time together outside. Lapras won't fit indoors, it's unfair to him. [ 8 foot tall Loch Ness monster style Pokemon don't fit in the house. She needs taller ceilings. ] If things go as planned, we can afford to upgrade to a bigger home then everyone can stay inside.

That's because it's a sport called dressage and it can be very engaging as well as help to foster determination and help to instill an understanding of patience and extensive training as a child whether we choose to involve ourselves in combat later or not.

Oh? We are going to be getting a new house soon? [That was news to him. But a bigger home didn't sound like a bad thing.] We'll have to arrange a playdate for them all. Since we are all in the same house and everything.

[It didn't make sense for their pokemon not to be able to hangout.]

Dressage is a wear thing to call it..it makes it sound like a clothing sort of thing and not what it is.

I haven't brought it up with the rest of the team yet, but I think with how much Pokemon and pets we've all got between us, how many people are in the house now, how few bathrooms we have comparatively, and how much money I'm going to be making soon, I doubt an upgrade is out of the question.

[ She didn't want to move away from everyone else, but it was definitely starting to feel crowded. ]

I didn't name the sport, I only learned it.

That makes sense. As long as we can all be together, I don't think there will be much objection to moving. I only have my cat and.. [He counts in his head.] 8 Pokemon. Factor in Ruby and Blake and the you and Yang and your pokemon..well. That's just a lot of lives being lived out in one house. It would be nice to have a big backyard where we can let them out to roam for hours without worrying.

[He wasn't too keen on letting them go off into Genessia to do their own thing.]

As long as I get to learn how to ride, then I can deal with the weird name.

If everything goes as I'd like, I should be making nearly afford a small estate on my own. If everyone pitches in we can probably afford something even larger. If everything doesn't go as planned, we should still be able to afford a small estate together regardless.

[ A small estate was probably larger than anyone besides Weiss had lived in though, so she was sure that would be more than enough. ]

Yes, you can. Though we'll have to find me a horse to ride with you in case you lose control.

You know I'd be happy to pitch in. We can't let you take care of all of us all by yourself. [Though, he didn't know if Ruby or Yang had jobs yet. He knew himself, Weiss and Blake did.]

I've done some work for some people in Fayren that have a farm. They were nice people. I bet they'd let you borrow, buy or rent one of their horses.

Good, because I can't afford an estate on my own yet and I'd prefer not to end up living on my own anyway.

[ That's as close to her saying that she likes living with them as she's willing to say outloud. ]

I think renting is best. The last thing I need is another animal that I can't put in a compact ball when we run out of room. I mean, unless we get a place with a stable and can afford for someone to clean them.

We all like living with you too, Weiss. [He's getting kind of good at "Weiss-Speak".]

Alright. I'll talk with them and set up a price. A stable would be bad if you miss having your own horse.

Of course you do; I'm a very good housemate. [ She may complain a lot, but she definitely gets stuff done at least.. eeeven if at first she needed help with a lot of things most people would consider normal chores. She's got almost everything down pat by now, even if she still can't fold fitted sheets. ]

I'll shift some time around in my schedule for lessons. About an hour a day should be enough.

There isn't anything I can say to argue against that. Without you, I don't know how the house would run. [Even if she didn't do the chores, she took a lot of responsibility on herself with the finances and such.]

I'll introduce you to Rapidash then. [He takes out a Pokeball to let her out.]

Weiss, Rapidash. Rapidash, Weiss. Weiss is my friend, okay? [He pats the horse a little.] I trust her and you should too. So if she touches you, make sure your fire doesn't hurt her.

[Their flames never hurt those that they trust.]

It probably wouldn't still be standing because Ruby would've broke a wall with Crescent Rose, Zwei would've crawled into Blake and your bedroom to cuddle, and Yang would be coming home at 3 in the morning from clubbing.

[ Has Weiss still been petting Articuno this whole time? Yes, yes she has. She even gives Articuno a look when Rapidash comes out like she's sorry but it would be rude not to say hi, especially after Sun's saying all that nice stuff. Weiss moves over and holds her left hand out with her palm down, waiting to see if Rapidash nudges or blows on her hand or ignores her, basically asking for permission to approach. ]

I can handle fire too, Sun. [ Cautiously, anyway. It still reminds her of Zuko, and she can't help but think he would've liked Rapidash. But as for the flames not hurting her, she assumes Sun's just talking about not accidentally burning her or anything. That horse is definitely very much on fire, after all. ]
