[Sun starts up the video feed and he’s all bundled up for winter. He’s got on a thermal shirt, and another large sleeve shirt. That and a big parka. No, Sun doesn’t do well in the cold at all. He’s sitting in the park at the moment with a hot chocolate in his gloved hands.]

So, I like the Holidays that come with winter and all. But can we skip over the cold weather? No one would mind, right?

[A big bird lands behind him and caws. Sun sighs and looks back to it.]

Yes, I know you would mind. But you are basically winter incarnate so..your opinion doesn’t get to count. [The bird caws again, sounding like it disagrees with its opinion not getting to count.]

So is anyone else here totally against the cold or is it just me?

Well he is my partner- it's only natural that we would spend a lot of time together, right?

[ That's her story and she's sticking to it! Though she makes a face, grimacing a little. ]

Yeah, I do. Last time was when a ... [ Tactful, tactful..] Person from Everglade assumed we were lovers and when I called him on it I have a feeling he was lying through his teeth.

[ She tsks softly. She didn't think much of Ted, and his assumptions and general attitude didn't help any. Glancing at the pretty bird though, she hmms. ]

Y-yeah that didn't seem too helpful. [ Eheh. Articuno might be doing it just because fussed about it though! She could relate to that; usually she was the one teased. ]

I guess you're right. I spent a lot of time with my partner. And there was definitely nothing romantic between me and him. [So it's not that weird.]

Maybe you should get a shirt that says "I'm not dating the Pyro next to me." That might clear up a whole lot of misunderstandings. [Though people would probably still mess with her.]

Yeah..I think this bird might be a little flighty. [A pause. He nearly face palms.] I didn't mean to make that pun. I think I've been hanging around one of my friends too much.

Ah -- ahaha, I ... all the same, I w ouldn't want to advertise my relationship -- I mean, my lack of a relationship. I mean, it's my private life so it's not anyone's business who I'm not dating.

[ Besides it might hurt Natsu's feelings. And if she ever got the guts to confess to him it'd be a waste of money! ]

Flighty... really? [ She grimaced at the pun, laughing. ] Well, have you named him yet?

That's true. Your private life is your business. Also sorry if my thinking about about you two made things awkward. [He just really thought they were an item.]

It wasn't on purpose. If you know Yang..well..she makes puns all the times. She's rubbing off on everyone. [Yang probably would have been proud of that pun, though.] Not yet. I'm not even sure he'll even accept a name if I do give him one.

[ She flashed a brilliant smile at him. Finally -SOMEONE- gets it! ]

Ahahaha, no it's.. it's okay, you're not the first, and you probably won't be the last. It's when people start spreading things like that around to random strangers that it bugs me.

[ She paused. Yang... ]

Oh! I think I met her when she first arrived. She seemed nice - though thankfully I was spared the puns. How has she been doing?

[ She paused to consider the matter with the Articuno. ]

I suppose you're right - but it wouldn't hurt to ask, right? I mean, otherwise it'd be like calling a human 'Human', I think. Then again if he's fine with being called by his species name, it's not a problem.

I promise not to spread that rumor around or anything.

She's doing pretty great as far as I can tell. [If Yang wasn't doing great, she probably wouldn't outwardly show it anyway.]

I think up some names for him and see how well he takes them. I guess the worst that could happen is he freezes my room again. [But Sun was sure that was inevitable anyway.]

Thanks, Sun, that's a huge relief. [ And hey, if things changed between her and Natsu at least that was one less person that would blab about it, right? Ahem. ]

That's good. I guess some people have trouble adjusting to being in a place like this. [ She chuckles at the latter. ]

Well if you get frozen in and no one's about to get you chipped out, you can call me and I'll see if Natsu can come by and thaw the place out for you. Free of charge, even~! [ She laughs for a second, and then sobers again. ]

Say - you don't live in Fayren, do you?

[That's true! He's got your back, Lucy. And he's good at keep secrets! At least around anyone that isn't his close friend.

Sun laughs a bit.]

Natsu seems like he would be perfect for thawing things. Just make sure he doesn't over use the fire, okay? I don't want to come out extra crispy. [He likes himself exactly how he was.]

I don't, but I think I spend like..75% of my time there working. Why do you ask?

[ Aww, Sun, you're the best! She thinks.

Giggling along with him, she nodded agreement. ]

Don't worry, he's got more than enough control to keep from burning you to crispy crispness. He gave one of my friends a tan at her request once. Although it kind of was really startling at the time.

[ She thought he roasted poor Aries. ]

Well... not too long ago there seemed to have been a slew of nightmarish ...things happening to a bunch of people. As a result of the involvement of that dream mage, I think. I was wondering if anyone outside of Fayren had gone through the same thing.

I'm starting to think you can market him as a multipurpose utility. He thaws, he heats, he even tans! Get your Natsu before stores are sold out. [But how much would he be priced for is the question..]

It was only the Fayren people that it happened to. I'm glad it was only one place that got hit by it, because it would have really been a nightmare for that to happen everywhere. Still, it was pretty bad. There was a creature that was going around in peoples dreams causing nightmares and killing them in their sleep too. It was a really bad month for Fayren.

Ahaha, something tells me he'd be a little peeved if I started marketing him out to other people.

[ Besides, she wanted to hog him to herself..!! Ah...erm... She fell silent for a second, processing the latter statement to be sure she heard what she thought she heard. ]

That's... kind of insensitive, Sun. Being glad that only the people who lived in Fayren were effected by it? I mean, yeah, it's good that other people didn't go through what I, and my friend did, not to mention whoever else was in Fayren, but still.

Okay, that did come off a bit insensitive. So..sorry. But I didn't mean it that way. I'm not glad that anyone had to go through. I had to live out my fear of watching my girlfriend die.

I'm just glad that it wasn't Genessia-wide. It's a whole lot easier to deal with a problem in a single area. Getting people to safety and away from the things chasing them and such. If it struck every city, it would have been hard to do anything for anyone.

I'm going after the man responsible to make sure it doesn't happen again.

I know you didn't mean it that way - just - you know, someone else might have taken it the wrong way. ...I'm not sure what my friend saw, but I had to live out my fear of my ..partner dying. Along with the rest of the guild.. [ But seeing Natsu die was worse by far. The guild had already been dissolved back home, after all - she couldn't even bring herself to look at the 'guild' here. ]

It'd have been even more chaotic, I agree.. I hope you catch him. Give me a call if you need help or anything. [ She'd love to hit the guy responsible. ]

I get what you are saying. I will choose my words more carefully next time, so..sorry again. It seems like our fear expriences were similar, though. It was all fake, but it really just..sticks with you, doesn't it? [Probably because of the whole visual aspect of it.]

I will. I've been at this for two years straight. No one can hide from me in Fayren. And I will call on you two if I need you. If Yang hadn't voulenteered yo tackle this with me, I'd have already asked you two.

Y.. yeah. It's been well almost a month since then, but I ...can still see it when I close my eyes.

[ Times like that she needed to be close to Natsu, just to remind herself he was real, alive, and with her. Fortunately he never left her side since that happened. And, well, even before it. ]

I appreciate that, Sun. Give him an extra punch for me - and one for Levy too.

I'm always here if you need to talk, okay? I mean, you probably have friends from your world that you can talk to. But if you want anyone outside of them, I'm your guy.

And I will give him two extra punches for both of you.

[ It'll be nice to have a (maybe) impartial person to talk to. She giggles a little at the latter. ]
