Where: All over Genessia
When: Late morning of November 18th
Why: The temperatures have dropped well within her health limits and she is now able to wander about without a portable water supply or a parasol
Warnings: A cute girl being all curious and stuff

[Finally, at long last, the temperature in Genessia has gone down. For several months, this young girl had to hide away in the K&H Home for Children for high temperatures can do harm to her kind, only being able to emerge for a short time with handicaps to shield her from the oppressive heat from sunlight.

But now, Anastasia is free. Free to spend as much time as she wants outdoors and not get tired or sick from the heat that once dominated the air. And so, in her favorite outfit, she emerges from the K&H Home for Children and sets out on a much needed exercise to explore Genessia, no real destination or aim. Though given her recent ordeals, she was nervous to go alone...

That's why she brought her parasol anyway to whack bad guys with.]

[Still, she was a little lost in such a big city. She thought Midgar had been massive when she first moved there all those years ago but it was nothing in comparison to Genessia. It wasn't cramped like the old Midgar either and wasn't divided by the wealthy and poor. Everything was spaced apart, Room to breathe... she thought as she inhaled a slow breath. She already missed home, she missed Cloud, Marlene, Denzel, all her friends but she felt calm being here.

Something about it said Home, maybe because her world was a little more than screwed up. Though she also felt guilty for feeling that way, she should be with her loved ones, and she did want to be with them, so she couldn't stay long and would need to find a way out as soon as possible.

She read over the brochure as she walked, keeping an eye out for people as she went. She was currently on Nettle Avenue. She needed to find Schnee Welcoming Services. That would tell her what she needed to do. She put the brochure away in her long black sweater jacket pocket, she woke up in it, which she was grateful for, because it was certainly chilly. Then she saw a tiny little thing, walking around up ahead.

Curious, she tilted her head before moving toward her. She seemed so little and had to be a child, though she had been proven wrong in the past with … well, midgets, for lack of a better term. The girl also had an adorable little parasol. As she reached her, she reached out and touched her shoulder gently as not to startle her. She thought about what to say and it came to her in an instant.] Are you lost, sweetie? [She figured no child should be walking around such a big city by herself. She had to teach Denzel that after he had been on his own for so long.]

[It was true it wasn't such a wise idea for her to be on her own, given the ordeals she has been through. But a princess needed to be free once in awhile to explore and learn her surroundings.

While Anastasia was peering around, taking note of the stores trees, and the fact she was back at the bay for the first time in months, she felt a hand on her shoulder. Despite it being gentle, she was startled anyway because it was a hand on her shoulder. She dashed ahead a few steps and turned around to see a woman, her closed parasol raised defensively.

The woman looked friendly, and her question only reinforced it. She lowered her parasol, closing her hands together on the middle of it.]

"Oh... No, ma'am. I just wanted to explore the city. I could not before when the weather was hot."

[When the girl startled, she didn't move back but noted that went into defensive mode, which was good, it meant she wouldn't go easily if another stranger decided to attack or kidnap her for some nefarious purpose. Tifa knew she wouldn't hurt her, but the girl didn't know that. It was better safe than sorry.

Despite the child's blonde hair, she was reminded of Marlene with the adorable face and her size. Her heart ached as she wondered if Marlene was currently worried or upset with her gone. She was sure Barret picked up the slack and made sure she wouldn't worry too much, but still.

As she lowered her parasol, she smiled gently, bending down a little with her hands almost on her knees so they could speak properly.] Well, you shouldn't be out here on your own. You never know what kind of dangers lurk for someone your age but why can't you go out into hot weather? Does it make you sick?

[While she did often fall into a damsel in distress role, Anastasia would draw her figurative claws if conditions were favorable.]

"Unfortunately, I do know... There had been at least three incidents since I first arrived here about five months ago..."

[If only she could re-awaken her magic from her homeworld, she wouldn't have to rely on a parasol for defense. Then, a brief pause. The explanation of her heritage could get lengthy and she needed to break it down to a brief summary.]

"Yes, hot weather can make me sick. My people evolved for a eternal snowfall, so high temperatures can make it feel as though all of our life and energy is being burned away. ... There is a lot more to this, but... It will take time."

[Tifa had never been a damsel in distress except once in her childhood, she never allowed herself to be. so she was always strength for little ones in need. If they needed saving, then she would do so.]

What kind of incidents? [She wasn't scared but she hoped that no one had been harmed seriously or that there were dangers here like the Planet used to have]

I'm sorry to hear that, sweetheart. You don't need to explain. Hot weather makes you want to sleep, and you're drained of energy. Got it! So no need for long detailed explanations. [She smiled cheekily.]

Do you know the city well? I could use a tour guide.

[Nagisa looked up at the sky. It seemed like the seasons went by quickly. But then again it was summer before he came here when the season was autumn and it still was at least it was close to winter anyway. But it still made him wonder when it would be winter if mostly because he wondered if there would be snow.

Just as he looked down from checking out the clouds he paused mid-step before moving to the side to be able to let the other pass. That was until she saw the parasol.]

Is it going to rain today?

[As Anastasia was quietly passing the other, she softly spoke a 'Thank you' as she got close enough. But she quickly stopped when she was asked a very familiar question.

She turned to address Nagisa and opened her parasol for him.]

"No, sir. This is cloth. It cannot stop the rain."

[Though she won't mind if it rains. The more cold, the better for her. She closed her parasol and waited patiently for a response.]

[Made of cloth... That made him think of his teacher, Ama-chan. She always had a parasol on her when she was watching them swim. After a minute of thinking he realized he should perhaps speak up a bit.]

So it's one of those that keeps the sun out, right?

"That is right. The heat makes my kind sick, with direct sunlight being the worst, so I use a parasol to keep it off of me. Though, with the cold season starting, it is not so bad."

[he had only been here a month and already knew people were different, but when someone who in his mind looks very human and says that, it still baffles him.]

So... you aren't the same as me then?

[One thing Fai enjoyed and it was the fact that it was getting colder. If he had to be honest he was that type of guy. It helped he was use to cold weather as well. While everyone else wore many layers as he could tell, fai himself only wore a shirt and one other layer, his jacket. He didn't need more right now he felt as he went for a walk with Syaoran, his Growlithe.

As he walked he noticed the pokemon head off before stopping in front of someone. The pokemon stood there as Fai was quick to catch up and see them.]

Hello. We've spoken before, right? You're good friends with Sakura-chan.

[Anastasia stood defensively in front of the pokemon, her parasol raised. She heard about the Fire types and wanted to avoid, because fire is bad for her health in more ways than normal people.

When she saw Fai come up, it was safe to assume it was his so she calmed down a bit.]

"Mr. Flourite... Yes, Sakura is my best friend. What brings you to this part of the city?"

[Fai whistled as his way of calling Syaoran back before speaking up again.]

Just taking Syaoran for a walk, that's about it. I should really take the others, but there are so many of them I wouldn't be able to.

[Didn't help that he would get squashed by one of them in particular because he thinks he's smaller than he actually is.]

What brings you out and about?

[Once the fire pooch moved away, Anastasia dropped her guard.]

"Maybe I should've brought mine... But I worry she'll wander off."

[After fiddling with the thought, she moved on to her own story.]

"I wanted to explore Genessia since I have not done so while the weather was hot."

They are quite loyal so unless you tell them to, they tend to not wonder off.

[At least from what he knew the two times that this happened.]

Ah, I see... I agree it was hot a couple months ago, but I found it to be much cooler, though still not the weather I was use to at home.

[Then again a good portion of the time it was a blizzard in his home world.]

Well at least now you can explore more, maybe even the other cities if you wanted to.

[Levy's carrying about six books which isn't as many as she's has in the past. She's heading home after a nice relaxing afternoon at the library when she spots Anastasia.]

Anastasia? How have you been?

[She shifts her books slightly to look over the brim before smiling at the younger girl.]

[Anastasia had no expected to run into a familiar face so soon on her little excursion. She smiles at the book keeper as she approaches her and side steps to put herself in a better spot for Levy to see her.]

"Miss Levy! How do you do? I am doing much better after the Fayren incident, thank you for asking."

[So polite. However, she is forgetting the part where she is terrified to go near Fayren now.]

I'm glad to hear that.

[Levy's a little unsure of Fayren as well however, her bookshop is there and it's impossible for he to avoid it. Even if she also works in Everglade.]

I'm on my way home, do you mind if I walk with you?

[Anastasia shook her head.]

"I do not mind at all. May I help you carry some of your books?"

[Still trying to be a helpful princess, she tried to reach for the top book on Levy's stack, but alas she was still small and couldn't reach. Instead, she left her hand where Levy may put a book in, if she doesn't mind sharing the load.]

[Levy laughs softly and then carefully finagles two books to slide from the top of her stack and into Anastasia's arms. She makes sure that the force of them falling into the girls arms is light.]

There, I live just over this way.

[She points with her head since her hands are fun.]

[It took a while for Mamoru to wander out to where she was, he was still trying to take it easy, but his strength was recovering from what happened to him in Fayren.]

"Wa-ha~! I guess now that it's cooling down, even you want to play outside, Anastasia-chan!"

[Mamoru calmly walked up to her with a smile.]

"While I've been resting inside the children's home... I've been thinking about something I wanted to talk to you about...have you ever thought about how no other children but us seem to live there? I mean, that other boy... Conan I think his name was? He moved out to be on his own....I never really got to talk to him or anything, but I dunno, I can't help but shake the feeling of worry, of the Children's home becoming more empty... it made it kind of uncomfortable in there when I was resting... Though Levy-san did visit me to leave me some books...

[Once she heard the voice, she stopped her stroll and looked for the source. She smiled brightly when she saw it was Mamoru, out and about.]

"Mamoru, good morning. Are you fine with being out already?"

[She listened quietly to what Mamoru wanted to walk about. She never really paid much attention to who was in the children's home besides her and Mamoru because she usually hides out in her room almost all hours of the day. But she was aware their had been others before.]

"I was aware there was another boy and girl living in the home. I have never spoken to them, though.
I do agree the home would get lonely if everyone moved out. ...You don't plan on moving out, do you?"

[Oh, the books. She remembers visiting Miss Levy regarding that after the Attleton incident.]

"I'm glad you liked the books. I would've picked out some for you too, but... I was affected in Fayren also."

[Mamoru laughed a bit, closing his eyes.]

It's fine, it's fine! I don't like spending all my time lying down. If you can manage to go out now that it's cooler, it wouldn't be fair if I didn't get up and accompany you. After all, didn't we promise not to leave each other alone like what happened in Fayren?

[Mamoru turne a little bit more serious.]

Of course I'm not gonna move out, if any other children come to the home, I want to help and protect them, just like I've done with you.

And I understand, Fayren I think... affected a lot of us...

[Anastasia was still a bit concerned. She wouldn't know what to do if Mamoru irritates any wounds he has, physical or emotional. She will need to resolve herself to avoid thinking about the recent incidents since even she doesn't know how much more she can take.]

"I more than welcome the company, Mamoru. I'm sorry for not checking on you to see if you wanted to go with me."

[She didn't get the answer she had hoped for on if Mamoru would someday move out, but it was enough for her.]

"...That's good. I don't want to be alone, Mamoru. Not after all that happened recently."

[Mamoru walked closer with a smile, putting a hand on her shoulder, re-assuringly.]
