 [The video feed opens to show a small boy wearing goggles on his forehead. He pokes at the communicator with all the concentration of someone for whom getting technology to work was more a matter of optimism than skill.]

Um, hello? Did I do this right?

[He smiles hopefully at the camera.]

I think I've kind of gotten lost. Somewhere. And I've never heard of Genessia or any of these places before.  

[His smile falters, as a certain sadness comes into his expression.]

I guess it would be too much to hope that I somehow made it to the digital world again.

It's another world where everything is made out of data. When I went there, even I became data.

No. It was made out of data, but it wasn't like a game at all. Everything there, it was all real.

Really? What was it like? Did you have a partner?

[She nods, it sounds a lot like a world she's been too but it's a little hard to describe it.]

Partner? No, Fai and I had a cafe there. I was little kitty and then the other two with us fought monsters.

[Sakura doesn't fully understand it.]

Turns out we were in some sort of data thing and after we died we woke up.

[He rubs the back of his head awkwardly. ]

Maybe a little? But it's kind of hard to tell, really. There were all kinds of strange places there.

But, I think I'd remember if I'd gotten there, somehow. I don't think I turned into data again.

"Mm, probably not then. Oh well; flesh-and-blood is preferable to bits and bytes. Let me know if you ever catch a stronger whiff of resemblance.

Oh my, Ted interacting with a child in a respectful and charming manner and not trying to trick them or freak them out. Will wonders never cease?

[Hikari was pinged by the words digital world. So here she is looking more than a little surprised if she had to admit it. How were there others in that place when they had been told only they could save it.]

[He nods.] I went there a while ago with some friends. You know it too?

[Takato was a little surprised that another kid knew about it, but maybe it wasn't that surprising. After the D-Reaper incident, it wasn't that much of a secret any more. ]

[She had no idea what happened to it after she came here since she was meant to help.]

You are? But how? [Now Takato was shocked.] There isn't any way to the digital world anymore. And why does it need help? Is there trouble again?

[His thoughts immediately went to the D-Reaper. Was it possible that it had come back? ]

Well right now we used out digivices to be able to get there to fix both our world and there world. It was kind of in the sky and everyone on Earth could see it.

[She couldn't really explain it any more than that.]

A world made of data... [He knew other worlds were a thing and that there were spirits, but never a world made of data. He was sure if Kaiba heard that he would probably not believe it or something.]

That's unusual, but I assume there is a reason why you can't go back? Apart from being here obviously.

[Takato looks down at the ground sadly.]

It was really badly damaged a while ago, because of an incident. All the digimon had to return there, and all the ways there were closed. I found one that came back a while ago, but it was filled in with concrete before anyone could use it.

[Takato still felt guilty about the nasty things he had said to Yamaki because of that. He knew that it had only been done to protect the human world. But... For a short time he'd had such hope.]

I guess you were really close to your digimon, so it must have hurt when they couldn't come back.

[He didn't know what losing a close friend was like truly, so he knew he could never understand it.]

I... don't think it's possible here but I;ve heard that people can bring worlds they know of to this place for a price.
