[Dairine is less than pleased with the sudden decorations in her new apartment. For one, it sort of took away the fun of decorating herself. Secondly, after multiple years in Cair Paradisa, she had a STRONG aversion towards mysterious Christmas decorations. As beautiful as they could be, they often came with... unpleasant side affects. Especially the mistletoe.

She flicks on the video feed. Behind her there is a view of the apartment's tree... which strangely seems to have a baseball cap near the top.]

This might sound odd, but has anyone noticed weird things going on since the decorations appeared? Like, say, the sudden urge to kiss strangers?

Just want to be sure. [Even though she'll be cautious either way.]

[Once she's reassured, she picks up the device and switches it to text mode. There's a message she has been meaning to send.]

We should talk. Meet me on the roof of library building at 9 PM.

[She's not sure if he will actually reply or not. Either way, she'll to be at the meeting spot that evening fifteen minutes ahead of time. Her only company so far is her laptop, Spot, who glows with a small blue light. The roof already has a layer of snow on it, and the snow still hasn't stopped falling. Looks like the paper's weather forecast was right after all. Dairine is glad she bundled up. Sure she could use a spell to keep warm, but that would take extra energy.]

[The decorations are at least making it so Levy does have to spend a lot of time decorating.]

Its not so bad. I actually like Christmas... maybe not mistletoe though.

[Dairine feels a little bad, putting her in the line of possible fire (or more accurately magical kissing). But she just can't chance it. Not after Paradisa.]

[You have no idea how many times she has deal with unwanted Christmas kisses.]

I guess. Usually I like it too. [Though it's a bit more painful now, after certain losses and the events in Paradisa.]

[Levy really doesn't mind. She smiles brightly though she notices something off in the way her friends speak.]

Well maybe this year you can like it again.

[She hopes so anyway.]

[Levy's determination steels and there is a glint in her eye that should probably worry Dairine.]

We will! I'm going to start preparing now. I'll see you at the shop a little later.

[Christmas or not they still have to work and Levy should be able to free the shop from any wandering mistletoe.]
