[Well, her room is finally cleared of kittens and the cat toys and trees along with the pokemon she was warming up to.
She's feeling a little lonely from the empty nest but at least it cleaned up and gone so her house mates won't be angry (well, one really in particular). Shaking her head, she fiddles with her feed.] First off, thank you everyone who was interested or adopted one of the little kittens. I hope others will find a friendly companion and please be sure to help out our shelter especially during this winter time.
Other musings; So this 'Holiday Season' is coming up again, right? I remember last year there were trees decorated and gifts given to loved ones and friends.
What other traditions are out there, if I may ask? I've been reading on some of them but I'm interested in knowing what others might do this time of year.
The whole mistletoe thing is also...interesting. Does one always have to kiss under it?

With-- yes-- a sprig of Mistletoe! "As to whether or not you have to kiss someone you get caught under the mistletoe with-- well. I dunno about here, but-- back home, in my home at least, we always were pretty much magically compelled to reach out for someone to kiss, you know what I mean...?" She chuckles softly, as she realises just why she is reaching out to grab Teddy by his collar, and leaning forward to kiss him fully on the lips: it's just a magical Compulsion after all!
*faces the music*
Once it wore off, his eyes widened in shock before removing himself from the situation with haste. It was hard to tell if he was indignant or just embarrassed. Maybe he should've hired an all-male staff to avoid this kind of hanky-panky.
"Ack! Maria! No PDA's in the office, holiday season or no. You know that!"

Troy was in some garage-looking place when he responds. He was sitting in a desk with holographic and glass computer screens; with metal crates, workstations, and parked vehicles in the background. There's even a hologram of a Christmas tree right next to one of the tables]
Christmas is celebrated here too, huh?
[That was particularly interesting, since he doesn't see any churches or the like around here. But since Genessia pulls people from other worlds, it shouldn't be much of a shock that they do the same with traditions and customs]
Well, the mistletoe thing isn't necessary, I don't think it's really done elsewhere in my world besides in certain countries in the West. Where I came from, the religious aspect of the holiday is still followed. I remember going to mass before dawn when I was a kid, and watching processions after sunrise. The day before the 25th is where kids go around the neighborhood singing carols, and the dinner before that is a huge feast, usually with a whole roasted pig.

Carols? So you have specific songs dedicated to this particular holiday, too?

[Which isn't really a great thing, he finds a lot of Christmas songs to be annoying when it keeps playing over and over again]
They can get pretty annoying after a while, so that's why I'm a little surprised it's a thing here too. I can't catch a break.
[He chuckles while fiddling with some device]
But I love the holiday itself, don't get me wrong. It's a great time to make great memories with your friends and family.

[Tilts her head curiously, her bow giving perhaps the smallest of twitches.]
Is it very special to almost all families?

[Troy looks to the camera while he spoke, rolling his shoulder before facing halfway at a computer screen and pushing a few buttons so he didn't notice Blake's bow twitching.]
Whether it's special or not depends. To my family it really is. It's about the only time of the year all of us are in the same roof together. It makes us forget the bad things that happened in the past months.

Hm...that sounds rather nice, actually. [Fiddles with her device as well, glancing gold eyes down in thought.] I don't really have a family to share those things with, but with friends should be just as good.

[Troy smiles and hoped to reassure Blake that it's all good to celebrate this holiday without any family members around. He misses his own family too, but he's gotten better at handling it over the years]
-and you don't have to thank me for anything. We're all in this place together. We help each other out.
[He chuckles softly, glancing at his computer screen to watch the compilation progress finish]
But it wouldn't hurt to know your name. I'm Troy Dantes, Deputy Guardian of Nova City.
[Knowing more people in here with a pendant like him is good, so he'll have more potential allies in case things hit the fan. Troy has met both Ruby and Weiss, with the former mentioning Blake during their conversation. He didn't know Weiss is a singing type, though. He'd be surprised.]

[Glances down with a small laugh.] Well, alright. If you say so.
I'm Blake Belladonna...[N-No real fancy title....] I work at the Animal Shelter for those left behind when people sometimes disappear back home.

[Troy laughs. He likes Ruby a lot, seeing a lot of similarities with himself in her. Weiss is a little different, but he doesn't dislike her either]
You're doing good work there. I have wondered about where people's pets and belongings go when they disappear. I'm glad their pets have someplace to go to, at least. That makes me feel better about getting one for myself while I'm stuck here.
[He's more of a dog person, though.]

Oh, thank you for thinking that. If you are indeed every looking, we have a lovely variety. I- mainly stick to the cats though I'm afraid. Dogs have never taken a liking to me.

[Troy finishes up the music compilation, and is about ready to give it to Blake via the network. That is if it works and his tech is compatible with Genessia's. He hasn't tried this before.]

These thigs are rather handy to have. We have Scrolls back at Beacon and they're kind of the same principle.

[That oughta give him more reason to show off and train his agility, at least. He gets the map instantly through the network, which made him nod in approval at how fast file transfers are through this]

[Troy gives Blake a nod to confirm that he got the file. He readies his own file to transfer, holding a hologram of a music note icon inside a folder. He moves it with his own hands through the air and crammed it through his communicator]
Hope this works... And I should check out those scrolls sometime. They sound a lot like our VIs here.
[It did, somehow. But the technology in his world is made to be compatible with many operating systems given it's meant to be used in other universes]
Aha! Awesome, it worked. You should be getting the compilation in a few. Let's see how fast this network is when sharing big files.
