So I guess I've been wondering a lot about things recently. You know, I can't remember if I've had this much time with nothing to do.

Does anyone need any help with anything? I heard kids can do things like get jobs here, but I'm not really sure what kind of thing I should do.

I guess I used to help out in the bakery sometimes at home. Maybe I could do something like that.

I actually work at a cafe and we have baked goods like cakes and sweet breads. I know Fai has a few shops if you want to do that here. [There are also several kids in his employ.] Otherwise I can help you look!

Where did you end up living? Maybe somewhere near you?

I'm at the children's home right now. [But Takato wasn't sure if he wanted to stay there. Sometimes, it seemed like staying there just mad ehim feel more homesick. It would be better to stay busy.]

Really? That would be great!

[Sakura's lips curl into a wide smile.]

Yeah! Let's see. I don't know if the Genessia location has any openings for bakers but I can check.

Let's see... what else is around there.

[She pulls out a piece of paper and begins flipping through it.]

Are there a lot of businesses like that around?

I think that there are a few. There are lots of places around. I mean... I don't know them all but I know that they are around.

[At least she thinks so.]

We can walk around and see or go to the information help desk where they have openings posted.

I know all of Fai's cafe's need someone from bakers to waiters. There's Mokona's Magical Cafe in Fayren and Dog's Paw Cafe in Attleton. Pan's Grocery has a few openings... cashier and I think they have a bakery section too and it looks like Teanie Teas is looking for a server.

[She looks up.]

Any of those sound good?

Luke was too busy. Clearly, this was a sign. Plus it'd be nice for him to have someone his own age.

"A friend of mine, Luke Triton, runs a tea shop. You would likely be of great use to him. Don't tell him I said this, but he works far too hard for someone his age. He just might do himself in."

"I don't mean to twist your arm, of course. Just a suggestion."

"No, I won't mind if he really needs help. Just, um, what his name again?"

It wouldn't be the first time Takato had started worrying about the welfare of someone he had never met.

Luke Triton, sole proprietor of Teany Teas, and works 20 more hours a week than any adult should, if the statistics of such things are true. And I've no reason to doubt. But keep my recommendation out of it; appear disinterested, if ou please.

Is the job search going well?

[She figured some must have replied by now.]

It's a little hard to tell. But a lot of people have had ideas, so I think I should be able to find something.

[He smiles just a little sadly.]

It hasn't really felt right these last few weeks not being able to smell bread.

So you miss what you are use to? I get that.

I guess I do. It's a little funny what you start to miss the most, isn't it?

It is. Though what I miss is my partner and my brother.

Has it been a long time since you've seen them?

It's been around a year at least.

It's always best to work with what you know then try and discover what you love. So if you are used to working in a bakery then I can give you a list of places that do that style of cooking.

It would be but some seem to work a good distance from where they live sometimes.

What kind of baking exactly? If that is okay to ask?

My parents own a bakery at home, and I help them out sometimes. [He smiles, just a little sadly.]

We make lots of different kinds of breads and rolls. I don't know a lot about making bread, but Dad taught me how to start the yeast and knead. I mostly helped out by setting out the trays and cleaning.

If you want to learn how to bake more, or bake different kinds of bread to help you I'll be more than happy to teach you.

Really? I would love to learn more! I never really had time at home.

I would be happy to teach another. Or I wouldn't have offered.

Then I'll be glad to learn! Making bread is always more fun with more people!
