Ichigo [Action/Video]
[That wasn't right. When Allen became aware of the first vague sensations of consciousness nipping at him, his eyes snapped open, and clarity returned to him. This wasn't right at all. His eyes focused, and the first thing he saw was the roof of a cavern. The first thing he heard, the sloshing of water. He could take account of his other senses as well, but by this point it wouldn't tell him anything he wanted to. Instead, he took account of his own body- made sure everything was still working- and then used one hand to push himself up from the bed of the cocoon, catching the box that was sitting on his chest in the other in a smooth, reactive motion that could have been mistaken for unconscious.
A bed- no, a cocoon? As he pried himself from it and stepped into the water filling the Bay, finding himself up to his heels in it, a whole host of questions crossed his mind, many with answers he didn't like. But he supposed he should get more information before he pursued THOSE lines of thought any further, or else they could lead down dark roads. Best not to jump to conclusions... even if that's what he really wanted to do right now.
He finally turned his attention to the box and pried it open, tucking the lid under the same arm holding the box while he examined the contents. He plucked out the walkie-talkie first, and took a moment to examine it- thoroughly, the hand holding it bursting open into a mass of metallic tendrils, each ended with a different device to prod and hook and pick apart the device- there was even an Ammeter in there somewhere. Ultimately; Rudimentary but functional, he concluded on the device, his hand folding back into it's original shape- and taking the walkie-talkie with it, absorbing it into his body. He knew how it worked in detail now, replicating it's functions wouldn't be an issue.
He briefly glanced over the gold necklace, studded with a large red jewel and numerous other smaller ones, and then chose to pick out the pamphlet. Huh. They wanted him to know they brought him here?
It didn't take long to flip through it. How kind of them to provide the walkie-talkie! He took a second look at the necklace though, now that he knew it's purpose as a transport vessel and an identifier- and took a moment to wrap it around his wrist like a bracelet, snapping it shut and letting it hang there. Then last of all, he took the money and stuffed it into his coat's pocket, mumbling, "Thanks for room and board, I guess." Then he chucked the box and it's lid back to the cocoon, and at last, made his way out of the Bay.
Upon stumbling across the magazine rack, he cocked an eyebrow. "Sure stands out, but I guess that's the point."
As Weiss' message played out to full, he dug through the magazines at the rack, giving them cursory glances. Safer than home, huh? He could believe it. But that didn't mean it was more exciting that way. The message ended and he put the magazines back, taking in his surroundings, and considered making his way to Nova City. But first, he figured he'd put the video capabilities of that walkie-talkie to the test by posing a question to the greater populace who'd already arrived, raising an empty hand and allowing a camera lens to form on it's palm- HD Video, here we come! He'd already recorded the frequency it was broadcasting on, so the rest came neatly.]

Getting into the Christmas spirit, everyone? [He laughs to himself, but you can tell from his face he's not in the best place mentally. A little red under the eyes.]
So, can anyone give me a read on how outdated Ms. Schnee's little info relay out here is? You know, if anyone's gotten any closer on how to get home or not. Just need to know if I'm here for the short-term or the long haul, you know?
[He briefly is out of focus, giving anyone viewing a view of a boot attached to a leg- after all, the camera is in his hand, as opposed to being carried by it. Not that the viewer would know. Then it shifts focus to his face again.]
Nice place you've got here.

Nice place you've got here.

[As if on instinct, he shifts back into cooking mode once he knows the pork is ready, separating it from the pan and putting them onto a plate, instead next using the pot to mix in the sauce ingredients, garlic, slices of ginger, sugar, sesame oil, yellow wine, all with a dash of corn flour and water and then stirred before left to sit, waiting for it to boil before adding the pork back to it.]
Though, I guess from the fact there's deputies in the first place, it's not all peaceful here, huh?
action!
It's peaceful most of the time.
[She wraps her arms around her knees and pull the to her chest.]
There are times when strange things happened. Right after I first arrived here the sky ripped and strange creatures came out. I think they stole peoples emotions.
It took a lot to fix it.

We'll always be able to stop whatever comes our way. We have friends and we stand together.

Alright, I'm fired up now! [He returns to preparing the meals with renewed determination, right up until the final steps, when all it called for was to simmer the curry and the meat for a few hours, taking that time to make a batch of rice separate from the risotto to serve alongside it. After some time, the meals would finally be done- the man gladly serving Levy three plates, two with the square cut, red-colored Dongpo pork, paired with two forms of Risotto- the Chazuke based stock Risotto, a primarily green tea based stock paired with salmon flakes, and served with leek and green onion, and another Tonkotsu based one, primarily composed of chicken (normally using pork bones as a base but he dialed back on it so it would not overpower the pork), also served with leek and green onion.
The final plate was a spicy goat curry with split pea sauce, served alongside basmati rice. With all three plates done, he finally allowed himself to relax and gladly set all three plates before Levy.]
Dig in, there's more where that came from if you want seconds of any of them.

She laughs softly as he begins to prepare the meal. Her eyes never leave him as he works watching the whole process with great interest. There are times she'd look down at her book but her gaze always went back to what he was doing. When he finishes she slips the book back on the shelf and takes a look at each plate as he places it on the table.]
It looks amazing.
[It smells amazing too.
She takes a bite of the first plate and her lips curl into a wide smile.]
It is amazing.

No changes. I think you should make what you think others will like.
[With all the effort he put in everyone is bound to love it. She gestures across the table from her with a smile.]
Sit and eat with me.

I'll make sure to leave him some. I think he works just as hard as I do so I only see him in the evenings.
[Even then sometimes she's already nose deep in a book.]

So how many people are here that came from outside Genessia? A dozen? Couple of hundred?
action!
I don't know for sure but at least a hundred. It seem like more arrive and more disappear. There isn't any pattern to them.
action!
action!
Sorry I don't know more.

action!
I'm glad you are looking on the bright side.
action!
Did you freak out when you first got here, or did you settle pretty easily?
action!
[Though the first time she had been a crystal the whole time.]
action!
It sounds like you've been on quite a few adventures even before here, though!
action!
[Levy doesn't know how much feels like saying.]
People come and go a lot here.
[She laughs half heartedly.]
Yeah, I'm used to adventure.
action!
Considering what you've told me of your Guild, I shouldn't be surprised, but I'm still impressed. I'd like to hear some stories of the adventures you've been on, if you don't mind.
action!
[Levy blinks trying to think of some. As much as she loves reading she isn't a good story teller.]
Well there is the time we were taken to Edolas. I was a crystal through most of it though. It was another world and Natsu, Wendy and Gajeel fought to free us. I'm sure that Gray, Lucy and Erza did too. They always seem to be in the thick of things. Apparently in Edolas there are different versions of us and the world is losing magic while our world has magic. so they kidnapped the guild to use them as magic.

action!
[At least Levy thinks so.]
And yeah, they were able to work everything out in the end.
