[Open/Action] The Sweetest Little Tantrum
Garden Park Apartments room 108 had been exhibiting some very strange phenomena since the previous tenant vanished. After the initial staff entered to clear out the belongings and vanished, only one other attempt was made before the door was simply closed and locked. People began seeing things. Strange creatures. Plush mice and spindly nurses seen out of the corner of people's eyes. Cheese going missing without explanation. But slowly these strange occurrences began to wind down with time and had all but vanished.
It had stopped growing for now but as it stood there was no way to bypass it in the hall and if it expanded much more it was at risk of taking over the sidewalk and streets.
It was 2 in the afternoon when the door cracked and was thrown open, one of the hinges breaking, the other twisting beyond repair. From inside a shimmering black energy poured out, covering the halls and seeping into neighboring rooms cupcakes, doughnuts, and various other sweets pouring out and rolling down the hallway. It stopped after taking over the apartment across the way and the two neighboring ones, but the hallway was completely impassable now. Likewise it made its way out the window, pouring partway down the side of the building, ice cream, frosting, and custard gradually oozing down and piling on the ground. Any who entered the black and shimmering realm vanished and none seemed to return.
To make matters worse the plush mice were back, running around all over the building. Less common were the spindly nurses though they were undoubtedly more dangerous, carrying scalpels and bone saws. They began to move slowly through the building, breaking down door after door, searching for... cheese? Yes, cheese. It seemed to be the only way to get the creatures to leave an area. The creatures would carry the dairy product back to the black mass and vanish once more into it.
It had stopped growing for now but as it stood there was no way to bypass it in the hall and if it expanded much more it was at risk of taking over the sidewalk and streets.

Action
Anastasia loved the first pack enough that she bought four more packs. As she snacked on a pack of string cheese, she was nearing some apartment buildings, and noticed this very unusual, yet very sweet-looking disturbance oozing from the building.
The young girl cautiously approached, but dared not get too close. She had lovely shoes and didn't want ice cream on them.]
Action
An instant later it charged, but it wasn't interested in Anastasia at all. It pounced, its face squishing into the string cheese (wow it even FELT like a plush toy) and leaping back. Somehow the packages stayed in the mouse's 'mouth' even though it didn't seem to have one.
Instantly turning tail it dashed off, vanishing into the mass spilling from the window. The magic shimmered once before calming down once more...
Action
"Hey! That's my string cheese! Give it back!"
[Anastasia followed the mouse, but stopped at the mass. She reached a hand into it for a moment, then pulled back out. Seeing her hand was still normal, she put the rest of her into the mass and after the plush thief.]
Action
Either way the plush mouse was scampering along the path, tripping over itself, and colliding with a pink door. It slumped to the ground for a moment before it opened, the creature racing through it.
The door didn't shut behind it and the room beyond was void like and filled with floating bottles. Rather ominous for sure, though she'd have to proceed regardless of if she changed her mind or not. The entrance she used seemed to have vanished...
Action
She spotted the plush mouse run through a door. Entering a room without know what's in it was sometimes a bad idea. But as Anastasia stepped back and turned, she saw the entrance was gone. Now she had no choice but to enter the door, and entered she did.
Whatever was behind this door couldn't be any more frightening than what she has seen in her short life.]
Action
Directly ahead was the plush mouse, freezing for a moment and looking back at her, bristling, before scampering forward faster, tripping over itself once in its haste. It ran to another door and smacked face first into it, scratching desperately before it opened on its own and let the creature through.
Action
After watching the mouse rush into the next room, the girl rushed the door to follow the mouse before the door closed on her.]
"Just how long does this go...?"
Action
... What in the world wanted to steal that much cheese?
Regardless the plush mouse made a beeline to the vault, tripping halfway and rolling across the ground. A strange spindly nurse creature stepped out to meet it, reaching down and picking up the string cheese and heading toward the pile. It was significantly slower than the mouse, but it also wasn't the only one, some of them armed with scalpels and bone saws...
To make matters worse there was a sharp sound as the door closed behind Anastasia. There was no handle on the inside.
Action
She decided she was in way over her head and tried to back out and leave. But all the young girl did was walk into a closed too. Panic building, she tried to find a handle and even tried to get enough grip on anything on the door to try to pull it open.
Any and all hope to getting away was all gone. She turned and pressed herself against the door, watching what could be her final moments.

The plush mice were skittering around. They were... decorating? Yes. Some were tending cookies or scattering sprinkles. One of them, larger than the others, roamed inside, nudging a kiwi fruit the size of a beach ball along. It pressed it into another pile of fruit and backed away slowly, tilting its head and scampering off.
The far wall creaked and opened, licorice train tracks rolling out like a carpet, a train soon following made of an oddly shaped teacup and a very large cupcake. Sitting atop was another plush toy, this one much smaller. It- She? Rubbed her eyes with an over-sized sleeve, perking up instantly as she came upon the cheese.
"CHEESE!"
With an excited squeal she tried to take a step, the train moving out from under her, tumbling from the engine. A plush mouse dove quickly, the living doll landing on its back, looking more startled than hurt.
no subject
Could everything here really be harmless?
Anastasia slowly moved over to the plush doll. Was it really moving on its own? She knelt down to gently nudge the doll with her finger.
no subject
The living doll jumped, turning, and tumbling from the plush mouse's back as she was poked. She took a moment, climbing to her feet with some difficulty.
"You...? YOU! You're not Spirit! Where is Spirit?" As she spoke, strange colorful runes drifted from her mouth, dissolving. "I don't know you, human! Go away! It's my cheese! You can't have it!"
no subject
"But... At least one of them was my cheese -- a stick of string cheese. I bought it with my own money and it was taken from my hand. Why do you need so much cheese?"
no subject
"It's MY cheese! I need it! It's mine! Not yours! Al of it is mine!"
Best to let her have the cheese...
no subject
"B-But... I don't want your cheese, I just want to know why you need so much cheese."
no subject
The plush witch paused, looking back up at Anastasia. "Did Spirit ask you to come? Will you bring me more cheese?"
Speaking of, a plush mouse was scampering over to the plush, a block of cheese squished into its face approximately where its mouth would be. It stopped next to the toy, letting her take the block, those sharp easily shearing it apart.
no subject
[Well, Anastasia was a child herself and wasn't ready to share what few sticks of string cheese she had left. They were tasty.]
no subject
Three spindly nurses stepped forward, one picking up the plush mouse by the scruff. In an instant the nurses had ripped the mouse to shreds, fluff, sugar, and confetti flying in all directions.
The little witch turned back to Anastasia. "Spirit is a human. He calls himself spirit. He's nice to me and brings me all the cheese. He's gone now. I don't know where he is. Do you know where he is?"
no subject
"I-I don't know... But... But that little mouse... You killed it..."
no subject
"You're a nice human. I like you. You can have cake." In an instant... there was a cake. A delicious and beautifully decorated red velvet cake siting atop a table made of a massive cracker supported by legs made of peppermint.
Charlotte went right back to her cheese, her sharp teeth making short work of the rest of the bock. Already a nurse was bringing more cheese to the little witch. Several pieces of string cheese.
no subject
But once she was offered cake, she wasn't sure if it was safe to eat. Nothing about this seemed natural, but she approached the cake anyway. However, she did notice the string cheese, but didn't say anything yet.]
"Um... Little doll? Do you have a name?"
no subject
"That's my name." She pointed up to a series of strange runes imprinted over a doorway. "Spirit couldn't read it so he called me Key-dough." She probably meant 'kiddo' from the sound of it. "I don't mind though. He gave me cheese."
Next to the cake, little pieces of chocolate were appearing along with several doughnuts and a cupcake... They certainly smelled good. Maybe her power was just to manifest sweets and whatever those little creatures were.
no subject
[She honestly couldn't tell based on size and voice. But even as more sweets appeared, she didn't quite trust them. They might transform into mice inside her tummy.]
no subject
"Eat. Eat the cake. It's good cake. The icing is the best part. Or... do you want a different cake? I can make lots of different cakes!"
no subject
"Indeed. Do you think I'm cute also?"
[She decided she might as well be a good guest and take a slice of the red velvet cake, but won't take a bite quite yet.]
no subject
There was a ripple that passed through the entire realm, several walls changing from cake to enormous bars of chocolate. The witch didn't seem to notice, focused on more cheese that one of the mice brought to her.
Perhaps she was some cheese-hoarding monster? But why would a cheese hoarder have power over cake?
"You're nice. You're like spirit. You were bringing me cheese." It might be best to let her keep thinking that.

Leah made her way through the area, shooting any of the mice or nurses that accosted her with impressive accuracy... though the arrows seemed to do little to slow the minions down. Once at the black mass, she would attempt to enter the apartment once making sure nobody else was around.
no subject
The nurses weren't much better. Their bodies snapped apart with ease, melting into puddles of chocolate and butterscotch. An assortment of pills poured from their opened heads...
It was fairly easy to find the source. The mass of the labyrinth had begun to slowly grow again, causing ice cream and cake to manifest in various places around the hall.
no subject
"I know you're here somewhere..." Now when the mice and nurses came for Leah, beams of flame and lightning bursts from her hands. "You can stop this farce now. I'm not here to stop you. I come with a proposition."
no subject
At least no more minions were rising up to fight, doing their best to avoid the imposing figure in the hall.
no subject
no subject
The air smelled very sweet, the walls made of cake, the ground made of cookies, and all around giant utensils and medical equipment were scattered.
Leah was ignored for the most part, the mice and nurses lingering on the edges of her vision, watching. they didn't attack yet... fortunately. But there was a bit of hostility there.
no subject
"Where is your master?" the demon demanded of the mousy minions.
no subject
Taking a few steps he started to look around, the feeling in his stomach telling him that he should leave and probably run or something, but he kept going, trying to see what was behind whatever it was.]
no subject
What sort of freakish monster entity just wants to eat cheese?
Regardless they aren't paying him much mind, though they would pause to watch him should he venture too close. After all, they have a job. They don't want to waste their time on distractions.
no subject
"I wonder why the cheese...Though if they are going after the cheese." He looked back before he was quick to head back to his place. he knew full well he had cheese and if that was what they were after, he knew where they were going.
no subject
In fact, it seemed they were after any kind of cheese. One of the nurses he passed was carrying a box of cheese-flavored crackers.
At least they hadn't hurt anyone yet. Probably... Maybe...
no subject
All he had to do now was wait.
no subject
They were here for the cheese.
no subject
"You are wanting this, right?" He was just making sure, but his plan was to not give it to them right away.
no subject
The plush mice scampered forward. One sat down on its haunch at his feet, staring up at the cheese, the other standing up on its back legs, one noodle-like 'paw' on his leg as it reached up, staring at the cheese.
Now that they were closer it was clear they were certainly plush toys.
no subject
Taking a step forward he stepped over them, slowly making his way toward the door to open it.
"Okay...show me to where it needs to go."
no subject
It hadn't drawn its bone saw yet fortunately...
no subject
Even as he saw this, he was still nervous about what might be happening next.
no subject
They probably weren't going to be very patient.
no subject
no subject
The creatures didn't follow him through. They had more cheese to gather after all. There were others though, scampering about and rearranging things and decorating. They ignored him for he most part.
