NEWSPAPER - BIWEEKLY EDITION
[Did you subscribe to The Genessia Tribune? Did you even remotely wish you had a newspaper or some other form of media to refer to for news, weather, and current events? Then you're in luck! There's a paperboy riding through the streets of Genessia flinging newspapers onto doorsteps or, if you're unlucky, through your window. Even remote locations in the other cities will still get a paper if one of the residents ever wanted one. The Paperboy is just that dedicated.]
[And if you're one of the following people, and you happen to subscribe to the newspaper, the Paperboy may or may not have flung the newspaper through that person's window, at the person, and/or broke something in the area: Glory/Glorificus, Allen, Theodore Satchel, Marco Bodt, Takato Matsuda, Kaito Kuroba. ]
Election Week
Today is the day elections start. They run from December 20th - 26th. While the positions for Guardian for Attleton and Genessia City are secured, the rest of the cities are still up for grabs. It's anyone's guess how the election will go, but if you want the person you think is best for the job to win, then get out and vote! And good luck to all of the candidates.

War Against Magic
A mage was found dead on the streets of Fayren. All that was left of them was a withered husk. A needle was found in their neck, which had been identified as the murder weapon. A note was found near the body. The note is from a group calling themselves the "Hands of Decay" and they take credit for it. The note is as follows:
If the Hands of Decay actually have these capabilities or not is unknown, but city guards and being placed on high alert. The Royal family has also set forth to investigate this with hopes of uncovering more information so they can validate this claim. More on this story as it develops.
Resurgence
Many older citizens of Everglade might remember the "Children of Elo". An assassin group that was active many many years ago. Their victims ranged from high fit officials to lowly store keepers. Their victims knew no age.
We speak of this group, because they appear to be making a resurgence. A man has been found murdered with the groups emblem (Pictured Here) carved into his chest. This has always been the groups calling card, left on each victim so that it is always known that they were the ones who committed the murder.
The victim, who's name is Lennix Aleister, was a known supporter of the ban on Necromancy. Lennix has called the dark art the tool of evil. Lennix was having lunch with a few associates and excused himself to go to the bathroom. When Lennix didn't return, they went to check on him and discovered his body.
Not much else is known at the moment about why Lennix was selected. It had been the general thought that the group had disbanded since they went so long without victims. To this day, it is still unknown if they are hired for hits or if they select victims themselves.
There are those in Everglade that ate happy about their return. At least one man has been quoted as saying they hope the group takes the head of the Guardian. There are others that are less than thrilled, saying the members of the group are just menaces and murderers.

| Greeting citizens of Fayren. For too long has the city been under the rule of those that wield magic. Magic users look down on those who have none of their own. They treat us like sheep and cattle. Therefore we of the Hands of Decay are going to liberate the city from their rule. You can see our handy work. Through our efforts, we have discovered an ancient recipe for a poison. We are calling it Magus Bane. Magus Bane rips the magic from a magic users core and drains their life force. We are further developing it can be dispersed over the entirety of Fayren. Those without magic need not worry. You will be safe from it as it only affects magic users. However, we are generous. If all of the magic users vacate the city in the coming months, their lives will be spared. If they do not, then we will unleash the Magus Bane and kill them all. You have been warned. |

Re: Submissions for the Next Paper!
Title: Vermin & Variance
Info: Nova City has been experiencing strange things over the past few days. Citizens have submitted multiple reports of rats getting into their homes and wandering the streets. They're everywhere, nesting in corners and getting into drainpipes. Doctors have been seeing an increase of plague and rat bite, two ailments thought to have been wiped out by ultra-modern medicine. Citizens are encouraged to keep a good supply of rat poison on hand, and to wash their hands thoroughly.
Stranger still, however, is the bizarre behavior occurring in people we thought we knew. Kindly old ladies have been seen breaking into shop windows and getting into street fights. Adventurers have turned to a life on the couch in front of the tube. It's hard to say whether society is becoming more or less outgoing. Maybe both? For the time being, we encourage citizens of Nova City to stay inside. Or don't; maybe socialize a bit more? You know what, the heck with this job. I don't need this. I don't get paid enough to write about freaking mice! Sayonara, suckers, I'm off to become a billionaire!
