014: Time and Again [Video/Private Video]
[Video, open]
[It was far, far too quiet in his home now. Every sound he made echoed around, briefly, before it fell back into silence. First Flonne...and then Laharl. He had tried to get hold of him that morning to complain about the statue he destroyed, but his communicator was offline.
Midboss knew he should be preparing for the tournament the following week, but he just couldn't bring himself to do anything. He'd made it to the fridge and back, but even that took a lot of effort.
In this state, he knew he wouldn't be able to make it into his office for a few days.
When Midboss opened up the video feed, it was clear that something was amiss. He was sat on his sofa, shoulders slumped, as he picked at the remains of a pudding cub he'd retrieved from the abandoned stash in the fridge earlier.
Nevertheless, he tried to put on a confident smile and inject a little energy back into his voice. He had a part to play, after all.]
Greetings.
For those whom it may concern, I just wanted to inform you that Laharl has left Genessia. Flonne vanished not too long ago, as well, so I suppose I shouldn't be surprised.
It's just like him to go chase after her...
[He gave a tired laugh, before clearing his throat.]
Those two were the only ones here that I knew from before Genessia. They were also my housemates, and as expected, the place has been left somewhat of a mess - a fact that will come as no shock to anyone who knew Laharl, I'm sure.
Thus, I need to spend a few days cleaning the place up. During this time, I ask that you redirect any non-urgent business to Zoisite, my Deputy Guardian.
[He certainly wasn't giving the whole truth, but he didn't want to tell the whole of Genessia about that right now. Those who were around during the spirit event, however, might remember Laharl proclaiming himself to be Vyers' son across the communicators.]
Fear not, the Tournament is still going ahead as planned, with festivities beginning on the afternoon of the 28th December. More details will be sent around later in the week, so do keep your eyes out.
[Video, locked to Zoisite]
I do hope that was alright. I don't mean to drop this on you at the last minute, however... Would it be possible for you to keep an eye on things for a couple of days for me?
My son disappeared from Genessia, and I need some time to get my thoughts together. I simply must be on top of things for the tournament, after all...
On a separate point, January will be seeing in a wave of new Guardians, who should make my life interesting. Assuming you still wish to assist me, would you like to keep your position as Deputy into the new term?

[Video, locked to Vyers]
Of course! We both know how much you can trust me in charge, after all.
And yes, I still wish to assist you. I'm quite content in my position, and I look forward to January.
[Video, locked to Zoisite]
I do trust you, of course. I wouldn't have made you my Deputy if I didn't.
[He sighed deeply, glancing back to the pudding cup and just staring a while before continuing.]
I'm glad...well then. It should be an interesting year ahead.

I'll do my best. Thank you.

Video: Locked
I'm sorry... would you like to come over for tea?
[Terra doesn't know how to comfort people but she doesn't think that Vyer's should be alone. Of course if he's not then she'll leave him be.]
Video: Locked
[He's definitely glad to hear from her.]
Video: Locked
It isn't any trouble. You can even stay over tonight if you don't want to be alone.
[He's one of her closest friends, she isn't going to let him hurt alone.]
Video: Locked
It really is too quiet here.

She'll put on a pot of tea and pick up the games that Yugi had lent her.]

Finally, she'd hear a soft knock on the door.]
Action;
Come in and this is for you.
[It's a key to her apartment so he doesn't have to feel alone. She doesn't go anywhere most of the time.]

Re: [Private]-->[Action]
If Ted had thought about it a little more, he may have asked when a good time with be. But when the call of friendship sounds, one must be there on the double. Once the proper delegations at the office had been made, he march on over to the Arena before searching out where, on its perimeter, his own office lay. A few gentle knocks on the door went off as Ted peered into the peephole.
[Action]
He jumped slightly as he heard the knock.]
Ah...it's open. Do come in.
Re: [Action]
[Ted didn't actually know where his house was; barely thought of it. He was so used to his home and work being coterminous that he didn't imagine anything different. Luckily, it all worked out. Ted briskly stepped in, took a look around to see if there were any obvious chores to do, then went to them. He'd try small talk first before diving right into things.]
"I've never met Zoisite. She's (he assumes it's a girl name) got you covered, I take it?"
Re: [Action]
Zoisite keeps to himself a lot, but yes...he's covered for me a few times now. I'm glad to have him on-side.
[He could see how Ted would get confused - Zoisite was rather feminine, after all.]
Re: [Action]
"Oh! A man. I'd never have guessed." Dang, not even two minutes in and he'd already blundered. Par for the course. So long as Ted's being typical, he may as well rush in to things. He thought about what he had wanted to do when he was going through a similar period of grief. Hopefully it'd do for a starting point.
"Tell me about him. Laharl, I mean."

While I have two people I know here... I can't help but wonder when and if they will disappear.
video;
[He sniffed, taking a moment to compose himself.]
I do hope your friends stay here a long time.
video;
I'm glad they were here before you arrived, but...Sometimes I wonder if it's better if people go home because of what happens here from time to time. If you think of it like that, it isn't so upsetting... At least I think so, but I can't say for certain.
video;
[He gave a small, fond chuckle. At least that was something.]
How long have you been here?
