[ Video ]
[ Ferris was a bright young woman. It didn't take her long to figure things out, with the pamphlet she was provided. Figuring out the videophone took a little longer, but when she did manage to cue up a recording, the face of a beautiful blonde woman showed on the display. Her face, on the other hand, showed little to no expression as she began to speak. ]

Prior to my arrival in this place, I traveled with a man. My partner, Ryner Lute. He is an unrepentant sex fiend who lures women of all ages into his clutches, and discards them with nary a thought. I must know if such a person is in this place, immediately.

[ Because he's her important friend and she'll tear the head off anyone who lays a finger on him. She spent a long time searching for him, refusing to believe he was dead - ]

More importantly, I also wish to know the location of the nearest dango shops. [ She's sure whatever shops there are here will be subpar to the Wynnit dango shops, but she was willing to have an open mind in the matter. ]

[ Action ]
[ Shortly after making her post, she resumed her search through the Bay, passing a brief glance into some of the pods, finding most empty. Most, save for one. The familiar figure sleeping away had her breath a quiet sigh of relief, reassured by his presence. He was all right. For a second her mind stole back to the last memory she had, when she finally found him after nearly desperatelu searching, the embrace, and his arms around her - she shook her head slightly. Enough of that. Time 0to greet him in the usual fashion. ]

Oi, Ryner. Wake up.

[ Yes Ryner, wake up to the sight of your favorite bully as she hefted her godkilling sword above her head, then started to swing it down at the pod he's sleeping in, not even giving him a chance to start to wake up. She was confident he would be awake and dodge the strike in time. It's cool. Incidentally anyone in the area are of course free to come across the pair. ]

[Honestly how long has it been? Ryner's lost track since he had his last true nap. Ever since Sion had been taken over by the spirit of the mad hero, he'd been on the run and weaving outlandishly extreme schemes to try and stall for time until he could save Sion.

Then all of his that failed to save the tormented king and he was even at Death's door losing an arm in the process. But what doesn't kill you makes you stronger and despite the plans of goddesses and Alpha alike, Ryner had awakened the Full power of the Solver of Equations. His powers had wiped off over a million soldiers from existence during his battle with Alpha. And now he was in yet another different world, sleeping peacefully.

And someone, not saying any names, just HAD to go and interrupt it. Even though he was sleeping, Ryner's training quickly kicked in when his body sensed danger and just as the sword swung down Ryner burst out of the pod with a startled yelp that was several undignified octaves higher than they should have.]

Ferris! What the hell are you seriously trying to kill me!?

Oh.

[ Ferris pulled her sword back and regarded the man for a moment. ]

You woke up.

[ What... like she was disappointed he did? As always she completely ignores his protests, sliding her sword back in its sheathe. ]

We seem to be in a strange place. [ This was definitely not the prison she found him in. ]

[She ignored him. Same as always! No this almost felt like it was a blast from the past. It was refreshing really. However..]

SO you just decided to wake me up by trying to end my life? What if I was deep in sleep? What then!?

[At the comment about this place being different he grudgingly looked around and had to agree. So many pods everywhere.]

This isn't the goddesses dimension from the looks of it. Huh? What's this?

[He says and notices the starter items on his person.]

Then the women of this world would be free from the menacing claws of one less legendary pervert.

[ Ferris nodded, as if in approval. Yepyep, she is clearly the truest friend evar. ]

Seriously? Stop spreading all those false rumors about me! I haven't touched anyone let alone women of this world as you call it!

[Huff huff growl growl. He's just going to examine the device curiously figuring out how it works while also reading the note.

Well this is a fine mess we've landed in. I know all about other worlds but this feels even further than that.

[ Never. Never stopping, that is Ferris-playtime. Still, as he mentions another strange place, Ferris glanced at him again, watching him inspect the device on his own, before turning away, resting a hand lightly on the hilt of her sword as she meandered cautiously towards the exit of the bay, truthfully unsettled despite not showing it. ]

The manner in which we find ourselves here...

[ Well they were somehow asleep before being transported here. It wasn't any Empire she'd ever been to. She supposed it'd be too much to wish that they were in a Dango Empire. Now that would be heaven. But it was certainly no magic she'd ever heard of. ]

[Ferris-playtime. An interesting codename for needless bullying!]

Yeah it's not all that normal. Hell it reminds me a bit of that one time when we both woke up in that room at the Inn after we got knocked out by dad. Although that time you only tried to kill me AFTER we woke up.

[He folds the note and tucks into his breast pocket before heading up to Ferris.]

Well I doubt we're going to find any answers in this cave. We should try heading out and learning more about this place.

[ Potatoe, PoTAHto. ]

Hm. It was fortunate that I was the one to wake first, this time.

[ A glance over her shoulder as Ryner joined her, and she nodded agreement. ]

Perhaps a local will be about. What little information provided us on waking did not speak much on the situation. [ Like, Where are the dango shops? Do they even have dango here? .... oh sweet lord, please let there be. ]

[he'll just focus on more important matters at the moment.]

This time. AS if anything bad happened last time.

[her precious purity was untouched after all. Not that such a detail ever lingered for long in the blonde beauty's head.]

Good idea. Just don't go threatening people with your sword. On the other hand at least our hosts left us with four options to go looking for information. Where do you think we should go first?

[Since naturally the smart thing is to go to all of them.]

Aa. So a pervert like you was disappointed by that. It isn't surprising. I am beautiful, after all.

[ For shame Ryner, For shaaaaaame. At mention of the options - or maybe it was the comment about her threatening people with her sword - she moved, quick as ever, to draw her sword and slash towards ther partner with it. Depending on which way he jumped... ]

That way.

[ BE her compass, Ryner. ]

[He wants to groan out loud but Ryner's just going to keep it in for the moment. He thought that would protect him from any sudden attacks. No such luck since Ferris decided to use him as her compass. WHen the slash came he jumped out of the way towards the left.]

What the hell? You're supposed to use a stick or a staff not trying to cut your traveling partner.

[ Silly Ryner, nothing can protect you from Sudden Ferris attacks. ]

Oh? I had no such thing.

[ As if she didn't know that. But she moved on past him nonetheless. Unfamiliar. Everything was unfamiliar - except for one thing, and she glanced to her sleepy companion out of the corner of her eye, grateful for it. Her gaze didn't linger long, taking in their surroundings thoughtfully.

It'd be good if there was some way back through all of this. She worried about her sweet little sister, and even the strangeness with Sion and her brother.. well. ]

[Nothing except quick reflexes. Luckily he has them and they are honed to the peak.]

Could've grabbed one from a tree.

[Rolls his eyes and sighs before looking in the direction she pointed him to.]

Well it's a place as good as any. Just let me do the talking?

[ Point. Normal humans would find it difficult to dodge her attacks after all. She made no comment about the option of grabbing a stick from a tree because honestly, where was the fun in THAT? ]

Agreed.

[ She wasn't against letting him do the talking - she wasn't a very talkative person anyway, with strangers. She'd threaten him with the sword if he said something she didn't like, of course. But he can expect that easily, as long as he's known her by now. Heck, he was one of the few people to understand her expressionless expressions. ]

[Which is probably why Sion put them together in the same team. They were the perfect match despite the constant clashing and bickering.]

Alright then.

[That was when they arrived in front of the gateway to the first city.]

Ladies first?

[Though he doesn't really think Ferris classifies as a lady in full.]

I haven't seen a person like that here, but maybe if you tell me what he looks like, I could go looking for him!

Hm.

[ That's okay, she doesn't consider herself a proper Lady either. Well, unless it suits her in one of her bizarre scenarios during Ferris-playtime/Ryner-bullytime. She eyed the gate warily first, and then stepped through. The atmosphere as she moved from Genessia City to Everglade was more or less immediate. Genessia City was far, FAR more welcoming than this place.

Actually, it reminded her of the villages back home in a fashion. ]

Interesting.

[ Being able to move place to place like that. Though as far as getting answers, it might be a fair bit more difficult. With strangers about, some of the villagers may just shut their doors and wait for them to pass. ]

Ah. A message.

[ That being said, she shifted her grip on the video phone, taking a step or two away. And a girl was the first to respond. Clearly she had to warn her of the pervert next to her. ]

[ From her surroundings, it looks like Ferris made it to Everglade by the time she responds. ]

He has a stupid face.

[ Wow Ferris, blunt much? ]

Shaggy hair, an unmotivated demeanor, eyes that are half asleep until he spies an innocent female. You would best avoid such a beast. He leaves a trail of sullied women wherever he goes.

[Somewhere from behind Ferris there is another voice carrying a bit of a lazy drawl.]

Huh. Not quite what I was expecting? Hey Fer-

[He stops when he hears that in depth decription (Fake might he add!)]

Hey! How many times have I told you to stop spreading all these lies! I'm perfectly normal!

[He follows after Ferris. Honestly he wouldn't have let her go through if he didn't examine the portal with his Stigma eyes quickly discerning that it was safe but nothing more. He needs more time and exposure to the magic used to learn more but at least no one is going to die if they go through. This is all before he lets Ferris step through of course. Ever since awakening the Lonely Demon's power his prowess with desciphering and copying magic had improved as well.]

This isn't what I was expecting.

Seems it'll be harder to get some answers than I hoped.

Her Ferr-

[ANd that's when he finally hears her talking to another on the device.]

[ For all of her bullying/playing with Ryner, she trusted him implicitly. Or at least if he did send her through a trap first, he'd know it was something she could handle. Though in the case of the gate, she was betting he had looked into it beforehand. Thus she'd had no problem advancing. ]

[ Oops, he spotted her talking on the device. She looked up, tilting her head slightly. ]

Did you want something, Ryner.

[ She's on the phone, god. So rude. Also how -were- they going to get information when the locals were hiding in their houses. Maybe they should go door to door? ]

[That is just how their partnership functions. Yes she sometimes takes her bullying to dangerous levels but he knows how strong she is and what she can handle and in a battle they always work well together even if they might bicker in front of the enemy as well.]

Do I want something? Do I want something? Well since you're asking there is one small tiny request.

[He moves up closer.]

STOP SPREADING LIES ABOUT ME!

[ She only takes her bullying to dangerous levels because she knows he'll be able to dodge... erm. Okay she didn't know that at first. Consider it a test then. As he moved up closer, she moved her hand slightly, enough to raise the blade forward near his neck. ]

Leaving that aside...

[ She glanced towards her left, where their bickering had drawn out the curious presences of one or two locals, neither sure if they should slam the door shut and bolt it, or wonder if bloodshed would fall again soon. ]

[He stopped just out of reach but rather than shy away he fearlessly pinched the tip of the sword and stared her down with a huffy glare. Until she glanced to the side that is. He followed her look and saw some of the confused and untrusting gazes from behind barely cracked doors.]

Alright alright. But this isn't the end of it. I'll spread the rumors of how much of a dango fanatic you are!

[He stalks away from the blonde and walks up to one of the houses looking as nonthreatening as he can manage. He's not unsympathetic towards the obvious plight of these people. After all a good portion of his childhood before the Roland Military took him in to train him into their lethal attack dog was spent in a village of scavengers that made a living off of the desolated killing fields, stripping armor and weapons off of the fallen soldiers and selling it off for coin.]

[ What. What. Putting your hands on her sword? Getting a little big for your britches are we? Wait, spreading rumors about her being a dango fanatic? ]

If only there were such a thing. [ You can NEVER have enough dangos. In fact, she could appreciate the treats -more- if anything. ]

[ In any case, she watched Ryner approach the house, following at a safe distance since she knew he at least was somewhat more approachable than she was. And neither local was female, so she didn't see the need to cause blunt trauma to his head. The man tensed when Ryner approached, looking like he might slam the door shut again, but instead he called out in a shakey voice. ]

Don't come any closer, stranger-- what do you want from us?
