[Action]

[As one might gather from Lyn's violent reaction rant over the network, he's not in a good mood. However, while this expresses itself in rage in text, in person...well, he's reacting with something a lot closer to terror. He's skulking around Genessia City, not far from where he first left the Bay, and trying not to be seen by anyone. Or be out in the sunlight much. (Hesitant initial tests let him know that the sunlight of this world would not in fact fry him, but lifelong instincts are fighting him here.) Neither of which is easy; there's just too much light and too many people. Even his psionics aren't much help; he can go invisible briefly, but ten minutes or so and he's still stuck in the same situation, only this time with a headache.

Anyone who notes the incredibly skittish new arrival and his futile efforts to avoid literally everything is free to approach him, though they may wish to do so slowly and carefully. Lyn looks as ready to bolt at the slightest provocation as a feral cat.]

[There's a few words that pinged Signless while he glanced over the post, simple key hints that this may in fact be a new troll. As if the color and the subtle quirk weren't telling enough. But what he sees isn't just rage, because there's always something behind that. Especially from a lowblood of all trolls.

So he's more careful when he's flitting about the area around the bay today, keeping a sharp eye out for telling horns anywhere in the crowd. And for the first time today, he's actually grateful for his changed appearance and size. Not only is it easier to maneuver around others, ducking in and out of small crowds virtually unnoticed, but when he finally spots the one who was freaking out, it's clearly no more than a child. A paranoid, frightened child that would likely turn tail at the mere sight of an adult.

So, perhaps being six again wasn't so bad after all.

Even still, Signless is careful with his hands stuffed into his hoodie pockets and a smile as he speaks up. Maybe he shouldn't have snuck up behind the boy, but he kept a few feet distance at the very least to show he means no harm.]

As shocking as it may be, this place isn't as bad as one would think. I could certainly imagine worse places to be kidnapped to, can't you?
bloodrevolt: (Event 1)

[personal profile] bloodrevolt 2016-01-05 12:21 pm (UTC)(link)
[He's seen many types of psionics through his travels, so the other troll disappearing so quickly comes as no surprise. Concern, and a little disappointment, yes, and his hand is already fiddling with the device in his pocket before he hears the other speak up.

He hasn't ran away yet, that's good. Taken some distance from the sounds of it, but that's fine. As another measure, Signless removes his hands from his pockets, keeping them visible even if it's a little colder than he'd like.]

Before I came here, I was sure I was good as dead, so I suppose I have a lighter outlook on our situation. But there's always a bright side, you only have to look for it. At least we're not hunted for sport here as we would be on Alternia.

[A hand taps on his thigh, on the bright red strip of his leggings that aren't covered by his hoodie. A sign in itself that he, of all people, has no right to be a threat to other trolls. A mutant is the last one lowbloods should fear.]

[Perfect. He's glad it has the desired effect on the kid, and seems more than pleased when he reveals himself again. It's a step in the right direction, in luring him into a bit more of a comfort zone.]

That's right. Though, amusingly enough, it seems my blood is normal here. These aliens all have this blood color, all the same color, and it's all rather intriguing. As is this place, from what I've seen. I'm rather new here myself, my yellow blood friend and I arrived only a few days ago and I've been exploring this city and the surrounding ones since.

[As he talks, he slowly makes his way closer to the other. Not for any real reason other than to lower his voice so he doesn't have to talk loud enough for everyone around them to hear, not like that's ever been an issue for him, but he doesn't think one so skittish would appreciate others listening in on their conversation very much.

As he gets within range, he holds out a hand in greeting.]

This place isn't so bad, for a prison. I'm...

[He falters for a moment, tripping over his natural greeting. Children don't use titles, and it would seem suspicious for him to while looking so young, wouldn't it?]

Kankri.
bloodrevolt: (Event 2)

[personal profile] bloodrevolt 2016-01-05 01:01 pm (UTC)(link)
[Perhaps this is the silver lining he'd been looking for regarding the whole age change ordeal. If he were himself, he's certain now it would likely take days, if not weeks to get this child to trust him enough to be so close. The handshake certainly is telling enough. He's inexperienced, trying to act tougher than he looks to make up for his size. Admirable, but out of practice. He isn't used to being around others. For his end, Signless keeps his grip a light, barely their touch even as he returns a squeeze before letting go.]

Pleasure to meet you, Lyn. I'm six.

[As far as he can assume, at least. Give or take a sweep, maybe, likely take, but whatever. Close enough, and certainly believable.]

What about you? You don't seem all that older than I am.

Better thiing2? Ye2. Thiing2 you can control? No. Make the be2t of iit, iit'2 what you have riight now. bloodrevolt: (Event 1)

[personal profile] bloodrevolt 2016-01-05 01:13 pm (UTC)(link)
[For his part, Signless is rather surprised by that information and it shows on his face. No wonder this child was so afraid. Just a few sweeps till adulthood, and he could be mistake for five or six at best... The more he learns, the more he's glad for this chance to approach him in the most cautious way possible.]

I wouldn't have guessed. No offense, of course.

[He makes a slight gesture back to the bay, changing the subject.]

Did you grab the maps from the magazine rack after watching the message? I've found them quite helpful in navigating, some of these other cities are larger than you'd think. Though, personally, I prefer the one we're currently in. Each has it's own unique atmosphere, almost entirely different worlds really, but this one feels... more like home.

[Not in the sense that he's ever had one, but that there's simply something about it that comforts him. He hasn't discovered exactly what that something is yet, but he figures there's time for that.]

[[Speaking paranoia, he's not saying these things for this other Troll's benefit. It's his own.]]

The threat2 we can deal wiith a2 they come. n2tead of fiilliing your head wiith iimagiinary mon2ter2, try focu2iing on 2omethiing el2e before your ii22ue2 2pread and cau2e any unwarranted paniic among the populatiion. Paniic ii2 much, much wor2e than the iimagiinary.
bloodrevolt: (Event 2)

[personal profile] bloodrevolt 2016-01-05 01:31 pm (UTC)(link)
[His head tilts at a few of those words, but the smile doesn't falter a single bit. Again, his hand idly fiddles with the new device in his pocket, making a note to himself he should probably check it out in more detail later.]

I suppose we're used to different things. Paper is always more reliable than a device that could potentially be tracked, and tightly packed cities are something I've avoided for my whole life. For understandable reasons, of course. Even still... I don't necessarily mean it's what I remember from Alternia. Not at all, in fact. For instance, there's the food here is amazing and unique, something I've never had before, you should really try it-But, I'm getting off topic.

[Even in a few days, the amount of Chinese take out in their trash is ridiculous. He can't help it if he wanted to try everything they had to offer. He really should be getting a job soon.]

I've never really had any place to call home, so I don't mean it so much in the literal sense as I do in the general feel. There's danger, yes, but not nearly so much as back on Alternia. In fact, I'd go as far to say I'm almost bored of this place already.

[He was bored of it within the first twelve hours.]
