who: weiss schnee & adam taurus
what: adam needs to talk about some feelings, so obviously his #1 enemy is the right choice for companionship
when: feb. 13, afternoon
where: adam's apartment
Weiss had started her morning off with her usual routine: wake up, make coffee, take a shower, check the communication feed. Usually it was just annoying residents with their tricks and troubles but today was different. Today she woke up to a text message from one of the people she tries to avoid as much as possible. Adam Taurus had asked her to come over to talk. A very odd thing to see first thing in the morning, Weiss had thought she was dreaming. Didn't they agree to leave each other alone? Maybe they didn't say those words directly, but it sure was heavily implied.
So, at one o'clock, Weiss found herself leaving her shared apartment for a destination that was not the market for once. Hesitating at the door, she backtracked to pick up her weapon just in case this was it and he was going to attack her. She didn't want to risk it, especially not after getting Yang back so soon.
It wasn't long before she found herself at his door with one hand on her sword and the other knocking on the wood.

Adam watched as she walked into his apartment, her gaze glanced around the room. It was extremely clean in here, a little excessive, almost like no one was living here at all. Adam knew how to make it look like he was never there, he was far too used to having to move around from one place to another.
Still, now that he was stuck here he was more than frustrated about a lot of thing. Adam took a step towards her, his mouth opening as though he wanted to speak- however no words came out. He closed his mouth, shaking his head and turning away. No no, he needed to think of how to start this one properly. The bull faunus took a deep breath and then nodded to himself.
"....This is ridiculous," he muttered to himself. He got it now, he knows what he wants to say.
"Since I've been here, I've been told I wasn't to act and to simply go along with everyone else and try and fit in. I've done that, I listened and I realized how impossibly pointless it was to try and act as though I was some White Fang member."
As he rants he glances over at Weiss, "I've already figured out that Blake told you who I am, I knew she wouldn't have kept that a secret from a companion," he sighed, "did she ever tell you how we know each other?"

"She told me you were from her past and to watch out but you wouldn't act unless you had reason," she motioned with her hand and then tucked it back under her arm. It was simple enough, and she liked it that way. Though the way he spoke about fitting in, she started to wonder what he was up to. Was he going to start lashing out? Maybe she was right to bring Myrtenaster all along.

"We grew up together. She's.... like family to me," both being in the White Fang, it was only natural, "....but now she's decided to start treating me like a total stranger, like the enemy."
Adam knew what he was, what he fought for, but by now he was so impossibly confused. He couldn't fight for the White Fang while he was here, and he wasn't on the same side as anyone. He fought for himself, that was it, and he knew that he was alone. So why did he reach out to Weiss? It was because he felt like he might snap and turn on everyone here if he didn't at least get this out.
"Did you know-" he now glanced back at Weiss, "that when she was injured previously, from your friend Yang, I wanted to help her but she told me to stay away. Seeing her hurt I was.... overcome with concern, of course, but it was like she figured I would go searching for blood."
He might have, but he also knew that wasn't very wise either, "...so what- am I supposed to just ignore that? I can't possibly be expected to!"
Adam found that he was raising his voice a little bit, and he silenced himself, running a hand through his hair. He really did have a bad temper.

She listened to his rant and thought back to the day she came home and found Blake on the couch looking like a mummy. In perspective there was a humor to Ruby's over concern.
"Yang is our teammate, not just a friend. We needed her. She wasn't in control of herself when she attacked Blake so if anyone you would need to be upset with Bison," Weiss said, taking a breath. The fight with Bison was.... difficult. They were hurting pretty badly but when Harry came through everything worked out. "But that should all be over now." Or she could be the next and last victim of her team. Odds were, things weren't going to be okay.

But he did try and listen to what Weiss was saying, understanding her side of it. She was raised by the Schnees, she was technically the biggest enemy he could ever have- it was taboo to even talk to her, but besides all that... he found that she might be the most reasonable person he could talk to.
"Even so," Adam had started to pace in front of her now, walking back and forth in a frustrated gait, "I've complied with what I've been told, I haven't done anything horrible to a human since being here- I'm even talking to a Schnee," he couldn't even believe himself either, "yet she still insists I stay away. What, does she want me to beg or something?!"
He just keeps on pacing, practically growling to himself by now, "she told me she might want to stay here instead of going back as well, when I said I might be tired of all this idiotic fighting between us she said she didn't even believe me."

Adam didn't trust Weiss, and Weiss certainly didn't trust Adam. She pursed her lips at the thought that maybe he could be lying to her to get her worked up. Honestly, she didn't know what she was doing here in the first place. She sighed, looking down at the floor momentarily before returning her gaze to him. What was she supposed to say? That she would make everything better? There was a fat chance of that happening. "Look, you two obviously have two different ideas of what things should be like. She just doesn't agree anymore. She doesn't like it. No wonder she wants you to stay away."

Adam stopped pacing when she said such a thing, turning to her and frowning at her. He didn't want to admit that he was acting like a child, but he could see some truth to her words. He was just angry, frustrated, and above all he still felt bitter and betrayed.
The man huffed when she said that he should just stay away. She might have a point, but even so he had done just as Blake had asked...
"....She has allies here. I don't."
He was completely alone.
