(One Poe Dameron's first thought was - when'd the base become a cave? His second thought it was - where's BB-8? Third? Well, he had this feeling more than once in recent days.

This is bad. I have a bad feeling about this.

(He finds himself staring intently at the box that had been lying on his chest while he slept and he pauses as he reaches towards it to open it and see what was inside. He wonders if this is a trap, a set up of some sort, but judging from the pamphlet he had just glanced over...this couldn't be something that the First Order had set up.

Propaganda aside...

Besides, Poe found himself internally chuckling. He would have woken up in a cell and more or less incapacitated and probably surrounded by guards or just locked inside with someone staring him down, he didn't care to think about that experience again- not lying in a box with a soft material making up the inside.

He, in that moment, just opened the item in his hands. His eyes were first drawn to the necklace. Then he saw the communication device. Then the red paper bills.)

So, jewelry, some sort of communication device, and...paper...money, I suppose. Whoever is doing this, they really should get a new job.

Yeah, no real answers...great.

(If anyone he knew was here, he would be seriously trying to shrug that off like he never end said it. But, as far as he knew, there was no familiar faces - no one he had to look out for, keep out of harm's way.

He thinks at this point he is more than allowed to be unsettled.

Besides, none of this was making any sense. He had never heard of Genessia, whether it was a settlement or a world itself, and he certainly did not remember being asked to come here or even ordered. Nor did he remember falling asleep in a box. Then the pilot picked up the videophone and after a minute he managed to turn on the video function.)

Alright, got that figured out. I'm Poe Dameron, pilot. (He decides against going into much more detail than that for now. Who knows where this place's loyalty was to.) So, is waking up in boxes a normal thing around here? Also, got a few questions to go with that if anyone's out there...

[Upon the screen was the sleepy face of a young blonde girl. It seems she had just woken up when she got the broadcast. After hiding a yawn, she smiled at the man.]

"Good morning. Um, I'm afraid it is normal for new arrivals to Genessia... I can try to answer any questions you have. My name is Anastasia."

Uh, yeah, hey, and...Good morning?

(He looks around, he's going to have to take her word for it. Caves aren't exactly the best place to sitting in when one wanted to know if it was the morning or evening.)

Nice to meet you Anatasia.

Genessia, yeah I kind of got that much...

(A pause.) Mind telling me exactly where Genessia is? I mean, something like what system I'm in or something like that.

Also, that's normal? (A slight eyebrow raise.) I don't remember climbing into a box for a nap for starters.

"System?"

[She was nearly fully awake now. But still pretty sleepy.]

"I... I do not understand what you mean by 'system.' And yes, it is normal. I was going to sleep in a camp with my friends when I woke up here in Genessia. Everyone here surely had similar experiences."

[Sorry, Poe, there'd probably be a friendly face but her expression is almost always either neutral or slightly annoyed. Today it's the latter.]

Unfortunately it's a normal thing around here, I haven't been around for too long, but I suppose I can answer a question or two. [It's not like Eighteen really has much else to do at the moment, anyway... Though the pilot comment is kind of curious.]

Pilot of what? Please don't tell me you mean like an airplane or something. [Because those are absolutely and completely outdated in her time...]

(Poe frowns. He's used to dealing with a number of types where he's from. As long as he gets his answer, he's fine. It's fine.)

You're the second person to tell me that. (Weird that it seems to be a normal occurrence here. He looks downright confused now.) So, how come people are showing up here like that? Or, let me guess, nobody knows why and no one has any clues.

An air...airwhat? (Those have long, long been rendered obsolete where he's from.) No, I fly something else entirely. Ever hear of a X-wing? (An T-70 X-Wing, to be exact.) Nowhere near as fast as some other ships out there, but definitely dependable in a fight.

[She smiles brightly into the video.]

I woke up here a similar way and I think most people do. I don't know if I can answer your questions but I can try.

Hey. (He finds himself smiling back without any trouble.) Nice to meet you, Aqua.

So, you're the third person I've spoken to then. (That's definitely a bad sign. He might even sound extremely serious when he speaks next.) Well, I guess it's official...this isn't an isolated incident. (More like freak accident in this case, it wasn't like a ship being shot down, but semantics.)

Well, I have a few. For starters, does anyone know how people end up here or is it...a mystery or something? Second? What's with the with the paper and the necklace?

[Aqua's smile falls slightly as she tries to explain.]

The necklace is how we walk between archways. Each archway is a different world. The paper has some information about this place on it. I'm afraid I don't know how we ended up here. [She pauses.] It should have been impossible for me.

[She had been lost in darkness for so long.]

There are also at least a couple dozen people who are trapped here.

Archways? Different worlds?

Uh, yeah, that's definitely a new one. That's not usually how that works, really. Not where I come from.

You kind of need a ship to do that.

(Then he pauses.) Impossible? What d'you mean by that? You don't have ships where you're from?

[Aqua shakes her head.]

Yeah, it's a little bit of a complicated story. As for this world I'm not sure. It's like few different worlds that became connected. [Which they shouldn't be.]

I have a ship. I'm used to traveling between worlds but I was trapped before I woke up here.

[Of course, here is a friendly, wakeful face, at long last! Of course, her idea of "friendly" may be a tiny bit different from Poe's, given that she is a horribly sarcastic and cynical individual.]

So, you sound like you got a grasp on this what this place is like... (Guardian? Auror? Are those anything like the fabled Jedi?) so, what can you tell me about this place?

[Adeline doesn't generally talk to the clueless fresh off the boat and lets the seemingly mandatory 'What the feth' video wash over her.....but this one got her attention. This one brought up pilot.

So Poe, hope you don't mind the sudden appearance of a purple-scaled yellow-slitted eyed face staring intently at you through the device]

(Oh, someone who wants to talk ships. Well, why not? It's a much more pleasant conversation then "Hey, why'd I wake up in a box" and one that doesn't require looking for answers. He knows his ship and everything.)

Well, the good news is, I've only woken up in a box once, and that was when I arrived here. So it's not the norm, no.

I might be able to answer a few questions? I'm Sein, by the way. Pleased to meet you.

(Poe's face, while smiling, just says "Okay, so the rule of the universe hasn't changed to "everyone must wake up in weird boxes and in weird places" ...good to know" all over it.)

Well, I do have one so far besides the obvious one. (He pauses and holds up the necklace that was in the box.) What's the deal with the necklace?

The necklaces, apparently, are what marks people as 'real' in this place. A lot of the people you will see are basically illusions. NPCs, if that term's familiar?

I'm not superbly sure how it works. The necklace is also required to cross the Archways.

[Hikari was in a happy mood today and it was for a good enough reason. So it passed on even in the feed.]

Yes, it seemed every new arrival gets one with the basics and of course items you might have had on you at the time.

[She paused, giving a firm nod.]

That is exactly what I mean. However doesn't always mean you will be here for a while. I mean some might leave a short while after they arrive, while others can be here for years.

It's a city called Genessia. It has it's ups and downs like the others but really, unlike the others it doesn't have one type of thing that makes it stand out except about it's the place we all arrive.

[He shakes his head slightly.]

No, we use red bills instead of what your world had.

It's normal from what I've gathered... [ But he's very new and the first few days here were here, he wasa not really himself. ] What do you pilot?

Was afraid of that. (Poe then starts grinning at the question, the widest one he can muster.) An X-wing, you have to be familiar with those, right?

[The face that appears on the video feed is that of a young man, no older than 18. He has a look of unbridled curiosity on his face.]

You say you're a pilot? Civilian or military?

Yeah, I'm a pilot, pretty good one too. (Poe's expression hardens, very slightly as he nods.) Military where I'm from, not sure if this place would be under their jurisdiction or not, but let's assume "not" for right now.

You a pilot too?

[Nod.]

I am. Also military. Whether or not it's in your jurisdiction is up to the Guardians, I've found. I found a way to bring my machine in and it was OKed by Nova City's previous Guardian.

[On the other side of the screen is a young teenager with startling red hair. She watches the video with interest, her curiosity buzzing. His uniform was veeery similar to certain other pilots she's seen before. Was he a fan? Or perhaps--

Yeah it's normal, though it should only happen once.

I can answer some questions. Fair warning there's a lot we don't know yet.

(Poe notices that she seems curious about him and his more serious expression changes to a lighter one.

Though, he also finds himself slightly wondering what's so interesting about him, though, so far...he's starting to figure out that this is a weird place to say it kindly and things were very much like the galaxy he knows so well. For example being given confused looks when he mentions X-Wings?

But, her theory about the universe? Well, the odds would probably be in her favor there.

More likely than not - there had to be at least one more set of pilots out there in the vast universe who wore orange uniforms, but she'll be thrilled when she finally realizes that her hopes weren't up in vain.

Poe nods and then smiles.)

Well, I'd appreciate some answers, anyway. Or theories. Whatever you got to throw at me.

[Her interest could hypothetically be interpreted as honest curiosity. And part of that would be true. Dairine wouldn't do as well as she has working on different planets if she could not appreciate the various cultures and life styles. Not to mention the numerous lifeforms.

But back to focusing on this space. She nods her head.]

You see, while you can taste the sky, it hangs above you like a tease, there are barriers that prevent anything being flown.

So, weird stuff's normal here? And you know, that's not all that comforting, especially since everyone else is saying the same thing. (The other pilot "hehs" before adding.) So, you a pilot too. Good, means I got someone to talk to.

(Poe laughs slightly.) Understating it a bit, aren't you?

(Then the pilot gives a confident smirk. Alright, now we're talking. Maybe this guy would know his stuff.)

It's weird, but it's dealable.

[He blinks.]

Never heard of it. I trained in the F-15 Eagle, operated in the F-22 Raptor, best damned jet in the world. [He shrugs.] Then I signed on with NASA, and now I fly space shuttles.

[Normally he doesn't really associate with new arrivals, but hey, he'll make an exception once in a while.]

Pilot, huh? Guess abductin' pilots is normal for this place now.

And don't expect too many answers. Whoever's behind this is good at keepin' intel under wraps.
