[Did you subscribe to The Genessia Tribune? Did you even remotely wish you had a newspaper or some other form of media to refer to for news, weather, and current events? Then you're in luck! There's a paperboy riding through the streets of Genessia flinging newspapers onto doorsteps or, if you're unlucky, through your window. Even remote locations in the other cities will still get a paper if one of the residents ever wanted one. The Paperboy is just that dedicated.]

Looking Forward
Just in case you missed the attached invite, Guardian of Genessia City David Haller announced that a Valentine’s Auction will be held in Genessia City on February 7th, one week ahead of Valentine’s Day itself. Couples and Singles alike are encouraged to attend. There will be food, music and dancing. But the highlight of the event itself is the auction.
Bachelors and Bachelorettes are encouraged to fill out the form below and submit themselves to the auction. At a designated time, each applicant will be placed up for auction. Winning a person secures you a date with them. Though romantic or platonic as well as time and place is completely up to the two of you to decide. It doesn’t even necessarily have to be a date, that is up for you two to decide as well!

David Haller also announced today that the Carnival that he hosted in Nova City last year will be making a return in March. The exact date hasn't been picked yet, but he has said that as soon as it has been, he will announce it.
Fractured
A strange rift has appeared inside of Genessia City. Shards from the rift have been discovered in Fayren, leading some residents on a hunt to retrieve them. It appears that due to the rift, strange events are occurring throughout the cities. People are suddenly finding themselves moved from one to another without warning.
What caused this fracture is unknown. It is also not known how long it may take to repair it, as all of the pieces haven’t been located as of yet. We ask that all readers be safe, and if you suddenly find yourself in a new place, don’t panic. This problem is being handled in a timely manner.
Monster Mash
An abrupt announcement by the Mayor of Everglade has made it so that monsters are free to roam the city at night. Any human found out after dark can be killed by them without fear of reprisal from the Mayor. Everglade Guardian Fai has taken precautions to keep monsters from intruding in on people’s homes, but it is clear that the people of Everglade aren’t happy about this abrupt law.
Fayren Relief Efforts
In the aftermath of the mysterious attack in Fayren said to be the work of a resident summoner there, the late Arlen, two members of Fairy Tail have stepped up again and announced their intent to assist with repairs and donations, even searching for medical - physical and mental - assistance for those who survived the attack. The two heading the effort, Miss Lucy Heartfilia and Mr. Natsu Dragneel, both mages of Fairy Tail, had been among those responding to the attack. We had some difficulty pinning the lovely lady down for comment, but we were eventually successful. When asked of her opinion on matters, Miss Heartfilia stated:
"I'm not so naive to say there aren't bad mages out there, but you can say the same about people. Not all mages are hateful, and not all people are hateful. The Hands of Decay are exception to the rule - they're hateful, small minded bigots threatening all mages, regardless of whether they've done good or not. They're more busy pointing fingers and blame than helping the people who were hurt. Fairy Tail already has a reputation here, for helping the people of Fayren - mages and NON mages alike, and that's not going to stop because of some prejudiced jerks."
Anyone who wishes to make donations to people in any amount can contact Lucy Heartfilia or Natsu Dragneel in Fayren. Miss Heartfilia has also made it clear that it is not just money that would be helpful, but anyone who wishes to assist repairs, or the victims themselves with food, medical assistance or therapy would be welcome.

Phantom Lord: Three hospitals workers have gone missing over the last few days. Attempts have been made to contact them, but to no avail. A report of someone creeping around the area was filed a few days before the incident, but no one was found at the time. With the workers now missing, a level 3 payment is being offered for anyone that can find them and put a stop to this person.
Nova City
Recovery: A painting has been stolen from a private collector. How the thief got in and out with the painting without setting off any alarms is unknown, but the collector is willing to offer a level 2 payment to anyone that can recover the painting. And a level 3 to anyone that can bring the thief in along with it.
Everglade
Holier Than Thou – A priest in Everglade has taken it upon himself to “cleanse” the city of all people and creatures that he deems unclean or unpure. Several people have been killed by this man so far. The people of Everglade are offering a level 3 payment to anyone that can stop him.
Fayren
Helping Hands: An apothecary was robbed today. The owner had mixed some medicine to donate to the local hospital and orphanage, and before he could make his deliveries he was robbed of the medicine and the money. A local bandit gang is thought to be responsible. Reclaiming the stolen property and bringing the bandits to justice will get you a level 3 payment.
Attleton
Stalked: The manager of a Dinner has received death threats and has claimed to be the victim of stalking as well. They had a dispute with a former customer before any of this started, but now the customer can’t be located. It is unknown if the customer is responsible or not, but solving the mystery and putting a stop to the threats will get you a level 2 payment.

Title: A Girl's Best Friend
Info: As three jewelry retailers in Genessia were broken into within the span of a few days, other remaining jewelry stores have asked the help of the police and bounty hunters to prevent their establishments from being the next target. The perpetrator uses flames that somehow can't be extinguished by water, and takes each stores' diamonds and money, along with the lives of those unfortunate enough to be there at the time. One retailer is willing enough to stand as bait for the perpetrator and work with the bounty hunters who could hopefully apprehend or at least identify this villain.
