[Caelica cleared her throat, and tried to look presentable in her new clothes inside her new apartment. Someone went to a shopping spree... This is the first time she uses the communicator's video function, and this is very strange to the warm and happy-looking blonde, so bare with her]

Good day to all of you. My name is Caelica Blair, I'm a rune knight and newcomer to this strange world, and I would wish to ask anyone a favor. I do not know the ways around the city that well yet, and I have heard of places called Archways. I would like a guide there, if you would be so kind. I will be most grateful and I will repay you someday. I will be by the front entrance of this placed called Tupelo Alley. My thanks!

[ Ferris hasn't been through many of the Archways herself; she and Ryner had taken a break shortly after arriving and exploring one of the cities. Still she was ever on the alert for a dango shop, and if someone wanted to talk about repayment..well Ferris would normally accept dangos as payment.

But they need a steady source of income for that first.

So Ferris didn't bother responding to the video, but showed up in person - she didn't change her attire, but was still in her knight's armor, blade at her side and her expressionless face taking in this happy looking blonde. ]

Caelica Blair.

[Caelica straightens up, dusting off her clothes and facing Ferris. Oh, a fellow warrior! She may not look like a night with her more casual attire, but she's got the hilt of her sword strapped to her belt]

Y-Yes, that is me.

[ The sword at Ferris' side is swiftly drawn, and swung forward - not in an attack, but to point with it, her expression never changing. ]

I will be your guide.

[ This... is Ferris' way of saying hello. Be glad she didn't decide to say 'hi' by attacking. ]

[Caelica was startled at the sudden draw of the sword, her instincts kicked in and her right hand flew to the hilt of her sword at her belt. Luckily, she didn't draw her weapon once she didn't see Ferris attack with it. Her eyes narrowed with suspicion and curiosity. She swallowed before she speaks up]

I-I see. It would seem all of us in this city are from different realms, so... that, is a little strange to me. In greeting others, no one in my world ever draw their weapon...

[Caelica grins as her brows moved up, following it up with a sheepish chuckle]

[ The silence from Ferris is probably a little awkward - especially since she doesn't explain her actions. Or smile. Just that steady non-expression, before she slides the sword back into its sheathe. ]

My companion and I have been to only two of the districts in this place thus far.

[ ... sh..she's not even going to address the weirdness of drawing her sword on someone. ._. ]

[Caelica nods, easing up once Ferris puts her blade away. That sure was strange, but she's not going to judge it more, it's probably just a culture thing, Caelica thought]

You're lucky to have a companion with you. I'm all by my lonesome here. Although... it's not very different from back home. I traveled by myself mostly.

[Caelica laughs somewhat sheepishly, but she smiles at the beautiful lady]

So, shall we proceed? There are many things I wish to see.

[ Ferris nods once. Though it was more of a Ferris thing than a culture thing. Ah, speaking of culture. ]

I am Ferris. Ferris Eris.

[ She pauses a moment as if she was meant to say more, but she chooses silence instead. Nodding once, cyan eyes scanned her surroundings briefly. ]

What is it you wish to see?

[ IF they pass some dango shops... ]

[Caelica crossed her left arm across her ample chest, while he right finger taps on her cheek. Her eyes rolled up as her lips pout sideways]

I have heard of places in this world called Archways, and a place called Fayren. Which would be closer? We can start there.

[ Ferris pointed - though she recognized Fayren as being one of the places she and Ryner had intended to check out as well. ]

You must pass through the Archway to reach any destination. Follow me.

[ Hurry up Caelica, because she's not going to wait! ]

[Caelica is still a little confused at Ferris' behavior. Once Ferris lead the way, Caelica followed and tried to keep up in the girliest run ever]

O-Oh. Is that so? Where exactly do they lead?

[ It's okay Caelica, Ferris isn't the easiest person to understand. Long story. It took Ryner a while to figure her out too. However, ... you are so... so girly. Dear god, that run. Ferris stopped, looking behind her and for a moment she can only think that this poor girl would be ripe for perverted monsters like Ryner. ~~Sorry Ryner. :D~~ Could she really use that sword? ]

Nova City. Everglade, Attleton and Fayren. There is an Archway for each of these places. I have not yet been to Fayren or Attleton.

Oh... Well in that case, you could show me the first two cities you've already been in? We can begin at this "Nova City"

[She has no idea it's a futuristic city. But since it was the first city to be mentioned in the two places Ferris have already been in, Caelica thought it'd be a good place to start...]

[ Ferris nodded once. Of course she didn't know if Caelica was looking for something or what. She had thought Nova City was very ...odd, though. And she may have damaged one of the sidewalks. A little. ]

Then it's this way.

[ This time she doesn't walk so briskly - but slows her pace so Caelica doesn't have to rush so much to keep up. ]

As a means of payment... [ She added. ] You may purchase dango. Ten boxes.

[ Ten was a reasonable start. Though she was reconsidering it now to make it ten boxes per district. Mmm... nah. ]

"Dango"? What is that?

[She may not know what it is, but ten boxes sounds like overkill]

[ Overkill for a normal person maybe. She's willing to bargain. Maybe. ]

Sweet Dumplings. A superior food, a recipe handed down by the Dango God. They are often served in tea houses.

[ She says this with a straight (emotionless) face. ]

[And Caelica bought it because of it. Now she wonders about this "Dango God"]

Amazing! I wish to taste this delicacy now. Where could I get it?

[ Excellent, if she can convert one into the worshipful ways of dangoism then so much the better. She might even like you, Caelica! ]

I prefer the shop on Winnit, in Roland, however we cannot reach this place. I was fortunate to come upon one in Nova City. We will stop there.

[ No if's, and's or but's about it! ]

[It is inevitable that Caelica would love dangos and other sweets. She's just the kind of girl who love all kinds of sweet food]

If you say so! I'm excited.

[Caelica smiled, clapping her hands once while still following Ferris' lead]

So, friend, what were you before being drawn to this city?

[The sword and the armor is something Caelica is familiar with, though she can't really tell if Ferris is of noble descent or not. Humans have no actual caste systems like the Dalanyo]

[ Friend? Ferris looked at Caelica for a moment or two, mulling that over. Another friend. Huh. Well that was nice! And if her new friend appreciated dango like Ferris (no one appreciates dango like Ferris. Not possible.) then even better. ]

Hmm.

[ That might even be a smile, though her eyes never seem to match the emotion. ]

Yes, that is an appropriate level of appreciation.

[ As for what she was - well ... ]

I am a member of the House of Eris, and I was a Knight under the personal command of King Sion. My companion and I were tasked to a mission on his behalf. However, we no longer are on such a quest.

Ah, a fellow Knight. It's always pleasing to know and meet other knights from different orders.

[Caelica puts her hand over her chest, bowing her head slightly and doing a short curtsey]

I never held such responsibility as you, Ferris. You continue to fascinate me.

[ Ferris nodded slightly, acknowledging this statement. ]

I did not wield responsibility of the House. My older brother Lucile possessed that honor.

[ He was welcome to it. Ferris didn't care about the status all that much. Caelica's fascination with her was a curious thing though, but she didn't comment on it. Instead, as they drew near the Gates to the other districts, she stopped for a second to point them out. ]

These structures permit you to pass to other cities. Fayren, Attleton, Everglade and Nova City.

[ On that last one, she started towards Nova City, pausing to glance towards the other girl at the gate. ]

Come. The Dango await. [ Quickly now before someone buys them all! ]

Yes! Let us go!

[Caelica nods firmly, pumping her fists in excitement. She followed Ferris until they went through the gate]

Though I must know, are there any malevolent entities in these cities that we must fight?

[ Aw, that excitement is cute. She was prepared for the moving sidewalk this time, so she didn't attack it when it moved. She did shift her weight though, hand resting against the hilt of her sword as she glanced over her shoulder. ]

In this place I have sensed no such malevolent entities. However, Everglade is rife with such creatures. I do not doubt that there may be dangers in the places called Fayren and Attleton as well.

Huh.

[Caelica's eyes widened gradually once they entered Nova City. Her surprise and awe made her freeze in place, jaw dropping the higher her head lifts to look at the top of the skyscrapers]

Amazing... I did not know humans are capable of building such things. Did the Dango god help create these structures?

[ When the girl stopped moving, Ferris glanced over her shoulder, pausing. Sigh. They're never going to get to the dango at this rate, Caelica! ]

It is true, I thought the sight surprising as well, when my companion and I first made this discovery. But no, I think it unlikely that the Dango God would have any hand in such creations.

[Sorry! This is the first time she walked in the biggest Apple store ever]

I see.

[Caelica picked her jaw up from the ground and snapped herself out of her reverie, doing that girly run of hers again as she keeps up to Ferris and continue their trek. She finds herself looking left and right still, really taking in the sights and trying not to giggle]

Maybe this world isn't so bad after all.

[ Apples are inferior to dango! ]

Hmm. It is an improvement over a world without dango, yes. Come. [ Here girl! Come on Caelica, that's a good knight! She's gonna lead you right into that teahouse. Doesn't everything look and smell yummy? ]

[Caelica looked at Ferris with big, puppy dog eyes. Following the other blonde into the tea house. Good girl! Her eyes lit up even more at the sight and smell of the tea house. It was pretty old-school compared to what's just outside. It was surreal for Caelica]

Wow! Everything smells and looks magnificent. I could tell I would love this place very much.

[Caelica's smile couldn't get any bigger. She may not like tea that much, preferring coffee over it, but this place looks cool! And she never really tried too many teas. Something might interest her]

[ ...oh god the adorable. And so easily trained too! Ferris seems rather pleased at Caelica's reaction to the teahouse. ]

Yes, good. That is as it should be. Everyone should appreciate dango and teahouses properly.

[ And so! Two new friends get to bond in a teahouse over dango. Best day ever. ]
