[The hut that Thrall had built on the outskirts of Fayren could be seen rather brightly at night these days. Bonfires, and paper lanterns decorated the area around the hut at night, and Thrall himself could be seen wearing crimson robes rather than his normal ebon armor. When he addresses the network, the scene around him is pretty festive looking.]

With the recent events, I believe now is more appropriate than ever to celebrate what would be the Lunar Festival in Azeroth. The Lunar Festival marks when an alliance of ancient races managed to repel an invasion from the demonic Burning Legion. It is a time for honoring the fallen, remembering our ancestors, and looking toward the future.

If any are interested, I am more than willing to open the celebration to all here.

It's times like these that make festivals all the better. It sounds like something we could all use.

Any special traditions that are part of it?

The only real tradition associated with it is the Pilgrimage. Adventures would go to every city in Azeroth paying tribute to the guardian elders that watch over the cities, and receive their blessing before returning to the Moonglade.

Here, at least we can have a normal party. Not as fancy as what the Night Elves and Tauren put on, but I'll do what I can.

That...seems a bit out of our league here, yeah. So we'd celebrate a typical festival? I'd be glad to help out, even if all I can do is raise funds and decorate.

I've taken care of most of the decorating myself. Just bring some booze and meat.

Meat I can do. I guess I could buy some alcohol, but it's not my strong suit.

[Ike doesn't drink. Seeing Shinon get shitfaced that one time just solidified his decision to avoid alcohol.]

Any meat you prefer, or should I just buy and catch some of everything?

I don't think there's ever been a kind of meat that an orc will turn down. As for the booze, you can never go wrong with a good mead. Times like this, I truly miss Chen. Never met a finer Brewmaster in all my years.

Assuming I qualify as "any", then by all means, go ahead. Let me know if I can assist in preparations.

A Lunar Festival? I would be interested. To honor not only the fallen of this world, but the fallen members of my own clan as well.

Traditionally, the festival runs for most of the month after sunset. Any time would be appropriate, and as for bringing anything, it is not a necessity, though I would not turn down meat or booze.

I see. I think I'll visit this evening then. I don't know what "booze" is, but I could possibly bring a little bit of meat. I can't carry too much at once, however...

[Regardless, she will try to bring a decent-sized piece. When Azalea begins to fly towards the hut, she's carrying a large drumstick wrapped in tarp and tied with a lasso, the other end she used to haul the meat over to the hut.]

[When she arrived, she pulled up the meat, flapping her wings rapidly, before dropping the meat onto a table. She then landed on the table next to the meat, gasping to catch her breath and rest her tired wings.]

[Thrall just smirks, filling a bowl with water and placing it near the small dragon before taking the drumstick and placing it on the barbecue pit he had constructed near his hut.]

I'd offer you something stronger to drink, but I'm unsure of how dragons of your world handle alcohol.

Ah...

[Azalea sighs with relief at the remark as she leans over the edge of the bowl, lapping some water with her tongue.]

Perhaps the larger breeds may be able to handle it, but I would think it would be out of the question for the Fae.

[Azalea would probably find the water tasted better than most. It was the purest Thrall could conjure, after all.]

Then please, if there is anything I could get you, do not hesitate to ask.

[She certainly does find it tastier. She drinks a bit more before looking up at his offer.]

Well...would you happen to have any insects crawling around here? It doesn't matter what kind.

[It seems like a silly question, because bugs always crawled around everywhere.]

So...you mentioned that this festival was for honoring the fallen. I would be curious to hear about them in your world...

That sounds like a nice meaning behind a festival.

Yes, it is both a reminder of those that have fallen, and how far we have come... and a reminder that the Legion will not take the defeats we have given them lightly, and will return stronger. And when they do, we will face them without regret.

So...it's also about the possibility of fighting again?

It's not a possibility. Azeroth has been at war with the Legion in various forms for longer than I've been alive. Azeroth, for better or worse, is on the front lines of the Legion's bid to wipe out all life.

Why... do this legion want to wipe out all life?

We know very little of the Legion, but we do know of its leader. The Legion is led by the Mad Titan Sargeras. He was once among the titans that formed the universe, brought order to the chaos, and shaped life on countless planets. However, once the Titans' task was done Sargeras... turned. Why is uncertain. All we know now is that he considers life to be a mistake, and seeks to erase that mistake.

That's horrible. I mean to create a world and then want to destroy it. It makes one wonder what major thing happened to change ones thoughts. Must have been huge never the less.

What it was doesn't matter. All that matters is that we continue to live, in spite of the Mad Titan.

You're right, that would be what matters most, that people keep living regardless.

That's quite alright. It is... rare that I am able to speak candidly about such things with humans. It is truly refreshing.

I think it's nice. It means we're leaning about something different and I like that. It means we get along.

Will fighting be involved?

I do not expect it, no.

I would bring tea for those not inclined to alcohol.

I don't think I've heard anyone offer to bring tea to a festival in over a decade. You're more than welcome to of course, however.

You are more than welcome to join, and I would be happy to share our customs. After all, keeping the ways of the ancestors is just another duty of a Shaman.

A festival to honour the fallen, hm? A worthy cause for celebration indeed.

Honoring the fallen is only half of it. It is just as much a celebration of the future as well as honoring the past. For the Panderans, it even marks the start of their calendar year.

I see...and what do you wager the future will bring?

Either way, a worthy cause of it's own. The past giving way to the future, that is. A new year is a representation of that in it's own way, I suppose.

Either victory or death. Regardless of what the future brings, The Horde will be there to meet it, head on, with steel and thunder.

It sounds as if the force you lead is truly an impressive one.
