"Good, good, glad to hear it, babes," he told her, grinning. "I look forward to meeting her. Is she as cute as you? Just let me know, when you get to Geraldi's and I'll pop in."

"You'll just have to wait and see for yourself, now won't you?" Ruby's the cutest of them all, and don't you forget it.

"We'll be there in about half an hour, I'll see you when you get there!"

[betel_geuse]

"I look forward to that, babes," Betelgeuse leered, very appreciative of Ruby's cuteness, but hey, sisters! "Geraldi's in half an hour. Wild sandworms couldn't keep me away."

"Nice! ...Wait!? There wild sandworms around here!? Are those a thing!?"

[betel_geuse]

"Whoa, whoa, no, chill, babes!" Betelgeuse insisted, holding up his hands and waving frantically. "I haven't seen any of those nasty critters, not here! Just, y'know, there are a problem in the Neitherworld, uh, afterlife, where I come from."

She'll take a momen to calm down and breath a sigh of relief.

"They aren't around here? Oh, phew. I wasn't sure how I was going to get then with Crescent Rose if they were underground. What a relief."

"Are there a lot of things like those where your from?"

[betel_geuse]

"Not that I've seen so far, no," Betelgeuse assured her, calming himself. "Yeah, well, y'know...it's the afterlife. It's full of ghosts, monsters, sandworms, the odd devil or two."

"Oooh, alright. I just never really thought about where sandworms went when they died, I guess it makes sense for them to move on to the afterlife."

[betel_geuse]

"I think your sandworms and mine might be a bit different, babes,' Betelgeuse said. "I mean, sure, they live in the afterlife, and other places, too, but they aren't dead."

[onecream_fivesugar]

"Oh well... I just thought since they were in the afterlife that they'd be y'know... dead... because well it's after life and all that."

[betel_geuse]

"That would mean the afterlife was actually making sense, babes," Betelgeuse said, chuckling. "Sadly, it rarely chooses to do that. Hey, though, don't you worry none! I'll protect ya, if they come around."

It's less an offer of protection, than a sleazy come on.

"Wait? It can just choose to make sense or not? Ugh... I'm not gonna be able to keep up if it keeps changing it's mind about stuff like that."

Oh uhmmm, how to respond to that.

"Uh... Thanks, if I don't cut them up first, that'd be great."

[betel_geuse]

"Uh, that was kind of a metaphor, babes. The Neitherworld itself doesn't have a mind...that I know of," he conceded. "It's just pretty random, especially given all the ghosts, know what I mean?"

He grinned at her response. Hey, that wasn't a refusal!

"It sure will be," he purred.
