[Allen briefly considers his choice of words before opening the 'video' feed, wondering how much information he should be willing to give and who to give it to. He was usually secretive with this kind of information, mostly because he could handle these kinds of situations himself, but right now... well, it was better to be safe than sorry. Not to mention everyone he had encountered up until now had been pleasant, so he had hope. So, he posed his question.
In reality, he was at work right now, busy working away in the kitchen of Amagi Inn, but the video- one fabricated on the spot by other parts of the computer that was his brain- depicted him as being in a park. The voice being heard also came directly from his thoughts, so Yukiko wouldn't need to hear him talking to himself obnoxiously as if he had a bluetooth headset in his ear.]
So uh, who here knows how to work with nuclear technology? Or nuclear reactors? Nuclear anything, for that matter? I'm asking for a friend.
[Laughs.]
...Okay, here's the deal. I'm kind of a... robot. Kind of. I'm a shapeshifter whose abilities are fueled by a nuclear-reactor powered device, about the size of a human heart or a closed fist. Sufficiently advanced technology, magic, alien origin story, yadda yadda. The thing about that usually is, at home, I have a ship capable of retrieving the fuel I usually need to run the thing- Helium-3.
In short, the outside of me is fleshy, because I want it to be, but the core of me is a machine, and while it won't be for a little while longer, if I run out of fuel, my powers go kaput. [He makes a brief raspberry to accent his point.] I can sustain myself for short amounts of time with electricity, but that's pretty much a stopgap. Not to mention I don't want to put the block out if I have to recharge.
Something also tells me a couple thousand red bills isn't gonna cut it for what I'm asking for, but then, that's why I'm asking, huh? If you can help me, I'll find a way to compensate you, since for the time being I've still got full access to my abilities. I'm also accepting alternative fuel sources compatible with my reactor or total replacements, if they can suffice for what I need them to do. Other than that, not much to it.
So, anyone who can help out a nuclear-powered shapeshifter around these parts?

Video
I don't know if I can help but there are spells that involve electricity... can you be recharged that way?
[She really doesn't know.]
Video
Actually, it would help plenty! I could probably create some manner of storage devices that'd be able to store the electricity, but I don't know how efficient it would be for you. I don't know how the magic from your world works, so I don't know if the process would need to be prolonged or if it would be taxing. It's always worth a shot though!
Video
[Shed just work until she got to tired and then go nap until she feels rested.]
Video
[That, and he had to run by a local scrapyard or hardware store before heading in to pick up some supplies.]
Video
[Her bookshop is in Fayren.]
Video
[He was wary about entering the Fayren, because he was nooott magically inclined in the least, but it was someone he knew, so he was more amiable to the idea. Plus, it couldn't be any more dangerous than the Everglade. So after work, and a brief run by a hardware store to pick up some various metals, he resolved himself and made his way over- fortunately, in his exploration, he'd pretty much made his own mental maps of everything, so he knew exactly where to go. Scribes and Scripts... and there he was.
He wondered if the door had a bell, but went in anyway. He knew who he was looking for, but he took a moment to browse anyway. If he was going to spend time in Genessia, more reading material would be helpful. Once he found a few things that caught his eye, history books and little game booklets, he made his way around, looking for a front desk, and Levy with it.]
Action
When he enters a soft bell rings throughout the shop. Levy is on a high ladder in the back of the store trying to slip a book back into it's place. She turns having heard the sound and smile.]
You made it! Give me one second and I'll be down.
[Levy wobbles on her tippy toes before carefully slipping the book into place.]
Action
[He's briefly tensed up to rush over in case she fell, but once she managed to place the book, he loosens up again, books tucked under one arm, a heavy looking plastic bag in the other, enough that it had to be double bagged to carry what he needed.]
You take care of everything here yourself, or do you have a few helping hands around?

Video - Yay, finally another robot!
Wow, chupa para ser usted. ¿Alguna vez ha considerado permenantly covnerting de baterías doble AA? [Fun fact - he's dead serious about the Double-AA's. Sarge although insane, has come up with some pretty crazy devices in the past. If Double-AAs could power a weaponized weather machine, they may just do the trick here.]
Video - Robot buddies!
Bueno, si tiene alguna sugerencia de cómo convertirme, estoy escuchando. Nunca he intentado, pero estoy dispuesto a hacerlo.
Re: Video - Robot buddies!
I can't provide helium-3. But what I can provide is concentrated deuterium. Is there a way you would be able to run using that?
But it was also an effective nuclear fuel itself, in that it could be used in a reaction with both tritium, AND itself to trigger reaction. He doubted he could get his hands on tritium, but with a higher concentration level of Deuterium...]
Yeah, I'd definitely manage. I'd need to make some adjustments to my core type, add some radiation shielding, but it could definitely work.
[By exposing the deuterium to high power particle beams, he could activate the process, releasing enormous amounts of energy and essentially allowing the reaction to chain on it's own from there, with the core design capable of kickstarting process itself if it ever slowed down. Yeah, that sounded good. He was already drafting ideas in his head.]
Actually, I'd probably need to build a new one altogether, but that's not entirely out of my means, fortunately! If I could buy some of the deuterium from you or negotiate the terms of a trade, I'd appreciate it a lot.
[He says that mostly because himself hasn't actually settled down on a place to live yet, mostly being a drifter during his off hours.]
[He transmits a set of coordinates. They lead to a supposedly empty lot in Nova City -- but that's where Athrun has been putting his mobile suit when he has to run checks on it. If he was going to ask for transparency, he plans to show it as well.]
[He gives the coordinates a once over, but figures no one would probably just put their secrets out in the open like that anyway-- if there was anything there, his new contact would show him when he felt like it. So for now, he'd wait until he was off-hours, and then head over there, still in work uniform- though that could change as he felt like it, his clothes changing as he walked into a simple polo and a pair of jeans.
Once he actually arrived, he looked around expectantly- he was looking forward to what he was going to see.]

[Up until the audio, that is:]
So you're the cook. I don't think we've met.
Audio
Yeah, sorry if I didn't introduce myself. I'm Allen, I ended up getting this job after I did the cooking for Levy's Christmas party. I ran into Yukiko there and she offered me the job and well, here I am. Sorry for not coming forth sooner, I've just been roaming around, seeing what I can.
Audio
[And he's certainly been to places he wasn't supposed to be, let alone escape from alive.]
Aoshi Shinomori. Yukiko hired me as a custodian. That includes maintenance, staff operations, and general supplies. I take it the kitchen is properly stocked?
Audio
Nice to meet you though, I'm looking forward to seeing you around. Enjoying your stay in Genessia so far?
Audio
As far as information goes. My world and this one have little in common. And there is much to learn about it.
Audio
Audio
And as for the technology...
[The roar of cars passing the Amagi Inn fills the brief silence.]
...suffice to say carriages are still horse-drawn where I am from.
