[Action at the Estate, OTA]
[Jaune wasn't actively avoiding everyone for the past few days, but he wasn't talking as much either. He rarely went up to his room, except to take care of his puppy, Snow. He wasn't sure if he had been doing a good job of that lately, so he was trying to fix it today.
As big as the estate was, Snow didn't leave Jaune's room much. He figured he could use a walk outside. Refusing to stray too far, he stood outside, carefully watching as the puppy jumped around and sniffed everything to explore his surroundings. When Snow ran up to him for attention, he petted him behind the ears, but didn’t do anything else.]
Did you get enough to eat today?
[Snow just wags his tail a bit more. Thanks for the answer, Snow.]
[/Action]
[Closed to Pyrrha]
[He can’t avoid Pyrrha, and it’s not even that he wants to. He wants to see Pyrrha, to make sure she’s still breathing, that she’s not about to disappear or run away. But when he even begins considering it, he remembers the pressure, the second time she’s used his armor against him, the locker, the kiss, he remembers everything and he’s scared if he sees her she’ll push him away and go off running again. That he'll be helpless to do anything. Talking to her is going to take a lot of effort. Keeping it together when he does? Probably too optimistic a goal.
Still, he needs to see her. He had talked to others, and it was time to actually talk to her.]
Pyrrha?
[He peeks in her doorway. Not to make sure she’s alive or anything like that.]

[It's almost instinctive, but her left arm moves to hold her right arm. Just seeing Yang so broken, physically and emotionally both just made her almost sick, and there was nothing she could do to help her sister...]
...When you, Ren, and Nora came to pick me up... Yang still hadn't gotten out of bed. With Blake just... gone without a word, Yang lost more than her arm.
no subject
[It would still give Ruby the chance to talk to her sister. But it might help if someone who wasn't around Yang as much as Ruby to tell her. Or maybe not. He's pissed on Yang's behalf, but he knows it's not on nearly the same level as what Ruby is feeling.]
Yeah, I'm sure she did. Blake's here, isn't she? I don't know how much she remembers...but maybe we can ask her why she left.
no subject
[Ruby goes over all the info she has in her head. ...There has to be a reason that Blake left. She wouldn't just bail on Yang like that. Not after everything they've all been through.]
...When we were on the mission to Mountain Glenn, Doctor Oobleck asked us some tough questions, got us all thinking... [That was it! The story about her mentor!]
...I think the guy that did that to Yang was someone Blake knew from... before. She probably feels responsible... blaming herself for getting Yang hurt.
...If Blake's here, I need to find her, talk to her, explain that we need her... Ugh, why did it take me this long to think of that...
no subject
[If Ruby needs to do it he'll accept that.]
Oobleck's a doctor? Since when? [It's probably not the most important thing to notice but it's the first thing he does.]
So Blake...she blames herself, and she probably thinks this will spare Yang from something worse in the long run. [He frowns.] Ruby...even if you try to explain it, she might...it might not be that easy if she thinks it's her fault.
no subject
[She nods.] Yeah. I just... hope I get the chance. I haven't seen or heard from her since showing up...
no subject
...We'll find her. [Maybe not immediately, and it might take more work. But he's sure they would eventually.]
no subject
[She nods a bit, allowing a small smile.] I know. Thanks, Jaune. For everything.
no subject
[There's a small, sad smile playing on his face.] You too, Ruby.
