[The video feed snaps on and settles on a female figure lying on the ground. It's hard to say where it is, except it is definitely outside of the city. It looks as though she's been tied up with two of the cords that someone repurposed from their maneuver gear at the last minute. Though judging from the way Petra is crying and shaking she's likely too scared to do anything even if she could.

A familiar voice speaks composedly before the video shifts to an even more familiar ( to the right people anyway) pair of glacial blue eyes.]

I don't like small talk. Almost as much as I don't like surprises and idiots, so I'll get to the point. Out of the three of your people that approached me, only one was not foolish enough to come unarmed. So consider this your own fault. [One hand reaches up to casually brush some blonde hair away from her eyes. She shoots Petra an annoyed look. Really, all she did was put her to sleep. All these tears are disgraceful for a soldier. Then again, she learned at a young age that tears were useless. She never had the time to afford being soft.]

I haven't harmed her and I have no interest in doing that. What would the point be? I'm stranded here. And I have no orders. And no way to carry them out even if I did have orders. [For a moment the mask slips and Annie looks as cornered as she feels. Disgusted even, but with what she is doing or something else? But then the self-possessed mask is back.]

I'll give her back. All I want in return is to know which of you are here so that I know what to expect. Like I said, I don't like surprises. Cooperation would be appreciated this time. If I have to do this the hard way it will be unpleasant for both sides and I'd like to avoid that.

[Levi is really, really, really pissed of at the current moment. You're messing with the most important person in Levi's life girl. That isn't something he takes well. Especially when Petra looks so shaken.]

[The list of names is said strangely calmly. Well, he is the calm before the storm. A storm that won't happen because no way in hell is he giving Annie any reason to harm Petra.]

[Annie woke up underground in a pod with no allies and believing she was about to become an experiment. Your mood is the least of her concerns, shorty. Maybe he should train his soldiers not to be so incompetent.But she's appreciative of you getting straight to the point.]

Thank you. She'll be set loose within the day. [Probably within the hour. What does she want with some crying kid? Annie is efficient but not sadistic. At least not until pushed to be.]

She better be physically as well as she was before you met.

[He was going to be mad no matter what path she took. She did kill off a large number of his people. There's no changing that. But she couldn't care less either way. This is self-preservation. At least if someone is going to be pissed off and after her she'll know who. Mikasa and Armin have already seen her. It wasn't like she could keep her presence a secret.]

[She rather cries in front of everyone than worries Levi even more by looking like she's dead if she's just unconscious, thank you very much. Not that she usually does that in front of anyone else than Levi... Then again if she looks fucking terrified, then that's good too because it doesn't make sense with Annie's saying she hasn't done more than that to her. While that's true here, just seeing her reminds this girl of her last moments back home. Passing out for a while? Sure not something to help with that. She should be over this, really, and it's not like she's bawling her eyes out here. Just some silent tears to continue today's emotional rollercoaster.

Petra takes a deep breath. Considering how quickly situations against that girl's titan form changed back home, hearing her say the stuff about not hurting her or giving her back as soon as she gets that info is not -- Let's just say she doesn't trust her at all. If she doesn't do that and she'll get back to Levi soon, great, but she'll believe it once she actually gets back to him.]

We didn't like surprises either.

[Well that's... Cheerful. No but seriously, Annie repeats it twice on that video in the company of this girl. What else is she going to say first? Though Petra should probably say that to Erwin instead.]

[~~Yeah,she just needs to be reminded of all the times she cried in Titan-form those ptsd moments and Marco....hypocrite much, Annie?~~ She doesn't look at Petra. She really can't get away from her fast enough. At least she's not begging. Annie really doesn't want to relive that day in Trost...stupid Reiner and his big mouth.]

[She walks back towards the bound girl and carefully starts undoing her bonds. Any other time and she'd cut them but she kind of needs those. Putting that gear back together is going to be fun, but that's improvisation for you.

She tugs the last strand loose and backs up to give the girl room to stand up. Or run. Or whatever exit she wants to make.]

Go.

[She has no desire to chat with a ghost. She's not going to announce it, but it's bad memories for her as well.]

[She wants to get away from here as fast as possible, but she's expecting to be here for ...sometime longer. Who knows how long. She could add Jean and Marco having been here until they went back home just recently but fuck it, she's not saying anything about one more dead person in front of Annie. She'll find out, one day, but this is not the moment for that.

The other girl walks to her and she has no idea what's going to happen now but then she starts taking those bonds off. Petra is actually really surprised knowing that Annie is going to release her so soon, so she's just staring the room in surprise for a moment. What? It's not anything she expects after her answer to Levi but she's not going to complain about it at all! She really wants to get out of here and she's getting up as soon as she's free.

And she has no desire to chat with her murderer either, so this silence works well despite how she's normally anything but quiet. She's not going to say "Thank you" even if she lets her go so soon but she's not saying "Fuck you" or telling her again to stay the fucking hell away from Eren or herself. At least if they see each other again, they know that the other is here too.

Petra doesn't say anything and she's not looking back when she walks away. Don't follow her this time. She just wants to go back to the person, who can easily calm her down from anything. ]
