[ The feed clicks on to... this guy! He's on the move in Nova City, looking around with an incredulous sort of frown as he rides one of the automated sidewalks. ]

Dang. And I didn't think things were gonna get any weirder.

[ He turns his gaze back to the camera, tapping his shades down his nose just enough to peer over the rims, shooting a quick grin to whoever's watching. ]

It is kinda cool, though. Not sure how I feel about the whole "taken to another world without permission" deal, but...

[ it's not like things were great back home when he left, apocalypse etc. ]

... Maybe a break'll be nice.

[ He shrugs, looking around once more. ]

Anyway, the name's Flynt. Guess it looks like I might be here a while, so let's get along, you know? Oh, and anyone else from Remnant out there...

[ His expression turns a bit more serious as he eyes the camera. ]

I know I just got here and all, but if you need anything let me know, okay? We gotta stick together, what with everything that just went down and all.

What happened is a long story. But I think this has been planned for some time. And the one behind it is still here, along with a couple of others. The good thing is there are a lot more people here who can fight her.

I'm Jaune. It looks like you're close to our place, and none of us should be traveling alone right now. I can come pick you up and show you where most of us live if you want.

[ Don't you mean the guy Weiss had to magma herself so YANG could beat him? Far as he's concerned, he bested Weiss and that's always going to be a point of pride to him.

... But! Kind of not important right now. He's quiet for a second - he vaguely recognizes Jaune as one of the fighters in the tournament. Mostly, he recognizes him as someone on Pyrrha's team, which leaves him wanting to ask about a million questions about what happened in her finals match.

He sighs a bit, shaking his head at the new information. ]

[ She's sorry about her dad. Basically forever. She's ashamed of him too. ]

Well, somewhat. Honestly, it's usually not all that bad. You just have terrible timing.

[ He rolls his eyes, not that she can really see it behind his shades. ]

Oh my, what a refreshing greeting. I have come to expect complaints of those who were swept to this place unannounces. Granted it is quite rude, but... never mind.

Not yet, but considering most of the people from our world arrived in the past week or so? I wouldn't be surprised if she showed up soon. That's usually how it happens.

[ He turns his head away just a hair. They'd both been pretty beat by the end of the Battle of Beacon - not critical, but absolutely exhausted. He was sure she'd be fine, but...

[ She nods. ] I'm at work right now [ Planning out a.. potentially solution to the Cinder Problem. ] so I won't be there until tonight but you're free to stay. We don't have any extra rooms right now, but you're welcome to bunk with someone or.. if I have to I can probably open up a room.

[ How the hell did a big estate end up not being big enough anyway? ] But if you decide to stay for a while, don't expect to not help with the bills.

[ He presses his lips together in thought, digging one hand into his pocket as he shakes his head. ]

Appreciate the offer, but I'll find my own space. I tend to practice my music at odd hours. Pretty sure you'll kick me to the curb halfway through the first week.

[ ... that's ONE reason, sure, but it isn't really THE reason. Trying not to prod that elephant in the room, though. ]

I know, but there's not much we can do about that yet. I'd direct you to the people responsible, but they seem to be glowing balls of self-important spirits who only show up when they need something.

[ Weiss doesn't trust them at all, no matter what other people say. ]

My room is soundproofed. But like I said- you're welcome as long as you need it, so you don't end up in some crappy motel room for the rest of your time here.

[ Weiss knows there's an elephant in the room, but she's going to be as damn well gracious as she can be about this. Because she's not her dad. ]

I wasn't exactly expecting results. I mean, if all we had to do in order to go home was make a fuss about things, I don't think anyone would be stuck here to begin with.

[ They're kidnappers. Trust is off the table from the get-go. ]

[ A bit firmly, now - not rude, but it's clear his mind's been made up on this. ]

[ There's a bit of perking up as she mentions their fight, though - a little bit of a grin to go with it. ]

Well.. I mean, last time we saw them it was when the barrier literally had a hole in it and a bunch of their buddies came in and tried to eat our souls, so I'm not looking forward to the next time they show up.

[ Whatever Flynt! She puffs her chest out proudly, sticking her chin up. ] It did what I set out to do, I'm not ashamed of it. [ Even if she's sure Winter would have some words for her about that. ]

Oh. [ A sharp quirk of his brow. ] Doesn't that sound like a treat.

Remind me to go through how to fight them later in case they show up again.

[ ... Well, it hadn't worked on everything back at Beacon, either, so that's not a huge surprise. ]

They're more of a "shoot them until they disappear, then reform right behind you once your guard is down" type.

[ She'll get better at jokes one of these days. ]

I wouldn't mind a rematch one of these days, if you ever need someone to practice with.

[ She's going to win this time. Maybe. SHE'S GOING TO TRY UNTIL SHE DOES. ]
