[ The feed clicks on to... this guy! He's on the move in Nova City, looking around with an incredulous sort of frown as he rides one of the automated sidewalks. ]

Dang. And I didn't think things were gonna get any weirder.

[ He turns his gaze back to the camera, tapping his shades down his nose just enough to peer over the rims, shooting a quick grin to whoever's watching. ]

It is kinda cool, though. Not sure how I feel about the whole "taken to another world without permission" deal, but...

[ it's not like things were great back home when he left, apocalypse etc. ]

... Maybe a break'll be nice.

[ He shrugs, looking around once more. ]

Anyway, the name's Flynt. Guess it looks like I might be here a while, so let's get along, you know? Oh, and anyone else from Remnant out there...

[ His expression turns a bit more serious as he eyes the camera. ]

I know I just got here and all, but if you need anything let me know, okay? We gotta stick together, what with everything that just went down and all.

What happened is a long story. But I think this has been planned for some time. And the one behind it is still here, along with a couple of others. The good thing is there are a lot more people here who can fight her.

I'm Jaune. It looks like you're close to our place, and none of us should be traveling alone right now. I can come pick you up and show you where most of us live if you want.

[ Don't you mean the guy Weiss had to magma herself so YANG could beat him? Far as he's concerned, he bested Weiss and that's always going to be a point of pride to him.

... But! Kind of not important right now. He's quiet for a second - he vaguely recognizes Jaune as one of the fighters in the tournament. Mostly, he recognizes him as someone on Pyrrha's team, which leaves him wanting to ask about a million questions about what happened in her finals match.

BUT! Again. Not the issue right now. ]

... Sounds like a plan, Jaune. Should I just sit tight here, then?

[Good point. But even if Flynt asks Jaune has no idea other than the person in charge of everything somehow planned for that to happen. He both wants to know and doesn't because he feels like Cinder would try to mess with their heads some more and that went great the other time.]

Uh...yeah. There is fine. You can use the videophone to ping your location, but I think I know where you are.

[He hopefully won't manage to get lost? A month being here should be long enough to figure it out.]

[ And so he'll... well. Wait. Whenever Jaune finds him he'll be propped up against a wall, scrolling through some of the network posts that have at least passingly familiar faces. No sign of Neon - that's a little disheartening - but he wants to at least try and get up to speed. ]

[He arrives not too long later, getting there as fast as he can. He offers Flynt a small smile when he gets there. There's a touch of sadness to it. Smiling has been harder since everything went to hell. He's relieved to see he seems okay.]

Hey. Did you and your friend-- [He doesn't remember her name off the top of his head.] did you both make it out okay? Physically, anyway.

[ He returns the smile with one of his own and a little wave - though the smile doesn't last too long. Weiss has been sort of catching him up on things, and wow.

Yeah... at the tail end of things, we were both totally spent on Aura. When the evac turned mandatory, we were sent off. Apparently we...

[ A beat. ]

We missed some things that happened after.

[His own smile disappears he just looks tired and on edge. There's no point in pretending otherwise when they all had to deal with it.]

That's good. Enough people were hurt. How much have you been told?

[He starts walking.] A couple of us went to the Dream Docks recently. That's this place here where you can see what's going on in our world but you have to be asleep for about a week for it. I guess they were getting tired of not knowing what was going on.

[ He says it airily, and it's hard to tell if he's being completely good-humored about it or not. She'd earned some of his respect in the ring, but that was far from enough to mend things entirely.

But when he speaks again his tone is a bit more serious - no attitude here. ]

Oh my, what a refreshing greeting. I have come to expect complaints of those who were swept to this place unannounces. Granted it is quite rude, but... never mind.

Nor would I, of course. But accepting the situation is far preferable to railing against the wind like a child, or throwing a tantrum and damaging the equipment that is there to aide those who newly arrive.

Indeed I have. Though I fear I have lost track of the length of time I have been here. A few months, I believe? Certainly under a year. There are those who have been here for far longer however..

[ A beat - if she's referring to the hologram thing with Weiss, well... he won't feel TOO bad. There's some tension between his family and hers, but that's a hatchet he'll try to bury for now. ]

That's just how my team does things - roll with the punches and never miss a beat.

[ The latter is something of a mantra he tries to live by. Neon's a bit better than him at it, though. ]

[ Well having bad blood between the familes is understandable. It was the sensleess pointless violence on it that she took issue with. ]

That is quite admirable. [ She paused. ] Well, much of the information you will find in the pamplets you were left. You will find that the Red Bills - that is the currency here -- will allow you at least three months for rent should you rent either an apartment or inn room in one of the cities.

Each of the cities have their charm .. with the exception of Everglade. I would actually suggest you avoid such a place if possible.

I was planning to stick mostly to Nova City. From the sound of things, that's where the people I'm familiar with are hanging out. Seems like a good place to start.

[ It's going to be a shame when someone breaks the news that "hey, Flynt, that lady with the two hair colors is kind of crazy evil". Too bad, she's cute.

She grabbed her 'device' - which was actually less advanced than her scroll but whatever - and started to type ]

[ To be fair, he also really liked the part where he messed up Weiss. It was cathartic.

He pulls his trumpet up from its holster at his side, grinning wryly. ]

Normally I'd ask you to say "please", but I'll let it slide this time.

[ And so he plays - it's something smooth, a little blues-y, the kind of thing you'd hear a band play in the corner of a smokey lounge. No semblance this time - it's a solo performance instead of the killer quartet, but he likes to save that for special occasions. ]
