After learning more about the situation Emerald spoke of from Professor Ozpin, I've decided to put the Beacon Academy archway in Nova City under heavy guard as it was created before its destruction in our world. No one may enter or leave without my explicit permission until further notice. I opened it up, I'll be taking responsibility for what's in it until further notice.

I have no intention of allowing this to continue. After Ozpin spoke to those of us from our world, I can't say my trust in him to appropriately deal with this matter is high. I understand there's plenty of contention from people thinking I'm overstepping my bounds in regards to crimes not committed in this world, but I don't care. Cinder is too dangerous to be kept free- moreso after learning the truth. Professor Ozpin thought it important enough to keep the power she took to the extent that his group went to great lengths and may have done some questionable things to do so, and made what I believe to be a number of drastic miscalculations to begin with. All I intend to do here is take Cinder out of the picture. I've contacted each of you because I have a plan and it's one that I'm confident in.

You've already seen the first part of it- the start of my post. I will be using Nova City's robotic police force to put an intensely heavy guard on the Beacon gateway. The implication that I learned something new from Professor Ozpin that forced my hand to make sure that she couldn't get in should be tempting enough, but I'll be placing additional lures for her to make sure she enters the archway by force. I will not have any living individuals on site for this. Surveillance will be via camera, but she's too dangerous to have live soldiers present. No arguing. Once she makes her way through to the archway and deeply enough that she won't be able to run out, I'm going to close it once and for all with her inside.

Past experience with closing archways either kills or temporarily puts down anyone who's caught in them. So regardless of which it is, she'll end up in a hospital. This is where I need your assistance. It's imperative that before she wakes up, she be injected with a sedative that will keep her unable to activate her aura. At that point, she should be transported to David's prison- assuming your prison can hold her, Guardian Haller.

While I don't need explicit permission to have selected warriors visit hospitals, I would like to have the cooperation of all of the City Guardians in this matter. You're welcome to oversee the operation at your city's medical facilities personally, but as I have no way of knowing which hospital it may be, you may want to focus on securing your city. Additionally, if you send soldiers, you will ruin this. These are intentionally small teams- anything suspicious and there's a huge chance it'll ruin everything.

If someone isn't included in this filter, by the way? They don't get to come. Don't invite people to come with you, don't even mention it to them- I don't care how much you trust them. I need this to be small, contained, and effective. If you don't like your position and are going to argue, then you're welcome to not participate at all. Just notify me so I can decide who to replace you with.

[ That is mostly directed at Ruby and Jaune. She isn't sure how they're going to react to being placed in hospitals instead of on the front lines. Everyone else has a slightly clearer head about this, but she knows those two were having issues. It's only because this means so much to them that she's letting them participate at all. ]

Cinder is dangerous and so are her associates. If she wakes up at any point, run. Don't try to fight her- I don't care how powerful you think you are, it's not enough. Stay with your partner and have each others' backs. I don't want anyone dying during this and I don't particularly care if you'll come back or not.

Obviously I can't plan a specific date for this since I don't know when she'll make her move. I've designed a quick-filter to alert all of your devices that the archway's defenses are being attacked. At that point I need you to go to your positions regardless of what else is happening. If you need an official excuse not to get fired after the fact, let me know and I'll be sure to notify your place of employment that you were operating under official City Guardian business for the safety of this world.

Let me know if any of you aren't willing to participate. I chose you because I trust you and your ability to get this job done, but I don't expect you to participate without question. Let me know if you have any.

I'm in, on one condition. I want to help transfer her to the prison. I beat her once, and considering everyone else is on the same page, I have a feeling she knows that as well.

If nothing else, if something goes wrong I could be a distraction to her long enough for someone to restrain her.

From the attack on Beacon, to his arrival here, to hearing the truth about the Maidens, to now hearing the full extent of the plan Weiss has put together...

He considers exactly what he wants to say for a bit before he finally responds - in spite of his polite refusal to actually stay at Casa de Remnant, he's hanging out around there right now. ]

Like I said - I'll be ready. Want to meet this Troy dude at least once first, though. Hard to work on a crucial mission like this with someone you never met, you know?

I'm not even sure I buy that that's the actual story at this point. Things don't just jump from being history to being fiction in the blink of an eye, and I'm not sure I trust Professor Ozpin to have actually told us the whole truth anymore either.

[He can't argue. Not when he knows he can't stop Cinder. Not yet. That wouldn't stop him given the opportunity, but he's mostly just shocked anyone would trust him with something. Even Weiss, who might have been less than impressed with him, has never treated him like he was helpless, that he was someone who needed to be protected. Sometimes she was harsh, but she had never hurt him the same way many others had. But even if he knows that, he's still surprised that anyone would trust him with something important.]

Okay. Just...be careful. Do you have enough sedatives prepared?

Of course I will. If all goes as planned? This won't actually involve any living person confronting Cinder while she's conscious. I got sedatives and back-up sedatives in case someone decides to have butterfingers. Each person in a pair will get one, though only one should be administered.

But what has she done anything here yet? Because this would be us Guardians imprisoning a person because of what she did in your world. And there are a lot of criminals here that haven't received that treat.

At absolute minimum I can put destruction of private property on that list, followed by destroying significant portions of the Nova City police department robotics division if she actually goes after Beacon. She's also made threats publically on her little introduction post against people not from our world. And that's only what I can prove she's done since I got here. If she remembers her previous stay, I'd be willing to bet there's more.

Unless making threats against the general populace is no longer considered a punishable offense?

Considering securing the city is what a Guardian is, I'll be sure to keep a look out and if the people who are watching the Everglade hospital are asked about what they are doing there, I'll be sure to come up with some type of lie if you would like?

With the exception of Attleton's team, every team has one individual from a high-tech area and someone from Remnant. I didn't want any team to have only people who have been deeply affected by Cinder for the safety of both the teams and our mission.

I understand, and have no questions to ask -- other than one.

Lately I have been pondering opening a subarchway to my flagship. The ship is far too large to serve as anything else -- according to human standards, it is nearly eighty kilometers from stem to stern. However, it in itself contains a full army of my people -- and a fully-functional cybernetics facility. If I do, I can provide us with further automated defenses.

Would you like me to do so before we spring this trap?

I'd appreciate it if you waited. We don't want to alarm people by thinking we just added an additional army to our defenses, as if we're preparing to start a war right here in Remnant. Cinder took full advantage of General Ironwood doing so back home.

Besides, in terms of politics, raising an army may not be the best idea until we need it since people seemed to lose their cool over me having perfectly reasonable amounts of security at a business.

[Troy listened to Weiss' message intently, even putting his game-face on like this is a mission briefing back in his world, and he was about to be sent to a dangerous mission. He was at his office when he go the message. Standing in front of the camera armored from the neck down, he gives an acknowledging nod at Weiss]

You know I'm with you no matter what.

[While he doesn't completely agree with running from Cinder since his pride and sense of honor prevents him from doing that, but he'll go with the plan. She'll know more about their enemy than he does, after all. He wasn't sure what this Cinder can do anyway, but if she uses magic or some sort of energy form, then she'll be in trouble against Troy.]

But do you have a Plan B and C set up just in case?

[He wasn't being condescending, but he wanted to ask. During Satsuki's time as Guardian, he got her a few drones from his world that would be really useful against a magic-wielding opponent.]

Plan A will work. But if she does wake up along the way, I'll set up a private conference call to keep everyone together and immediately notify the City Guardians and... my world's Guardians. If the plan is out, then it's out, and the only shot we'll have is taking her out then and there. I'll establish meet-areas in each archway that everyone should come to, since anyone fighting Cinder alone regardless of capabilities is likely looking at death. She managed to bring down communication between all of our kingdoms and bring Vale to its knees before she got the power Ozpin went to such far lengths to protect from her. She has that power now and I'd rather we didn't see it.

Adeline, I need you to take this seriously. I normally enjoy your attitude about a fight and I know you're skilled, but if she wakes up before she gets to that prison? No one's going to be smiling.

I would have appreciated you opening discussions about what you intended to do within my city with moi prior to this. Likewise, forbidding us from mentioning this to our Deputy Guardians.

[Vyers was definitely annoyed with this turn of events. Weiss was already gaining far too much power and influence in this world for his liking, and the fact that she was now organising plans that crossed all the cities whilst overriding the authority of the Guardians? That made this even worse. It didn't help that to him, Weiss just seemed far too young. Perhaps he did treat his position rather too much like that of Overlord - old habits died hard, after all.]

Regardless, I keep Attleton secure at all times. I would be doing a poor job of Guardian if I only secured the city when an issue arose - back in the Netherworld, that would cause all sorts of problem, after all.

Do what you need to do. I'll keep an eye on the situation here.

[ It's her job to protect Nova City. What's going on with Schnee Company? It's a welcoming company. It's not anything that Weiss sees as an overreach, especially since she's stepped away from it. The call here was a courtesy- an actual military act and she would absolutely have asked him first, just like she tends to make sure she's got the okay to open a center in an archway before she does.

She would definitely argue that Vyers was the one trying to overreach if he thought that his position was more than a protector, something that could stop her from opening businesses if she truly wanted to, but she certainly had more grace than that. ]

I appreciate it. As for your deputy guardians, I would simply prefer to keep this as under wraps as possible. The more people who know, the less likely this plan is to work. If anything goes awry you'll be the first to be notified and you're welcome to share the entire plan with your Deputies, of course.

Satori listened well to Weiss's declaration. Something about halting potential troublemakers from that world, about keeping said trouble from reaching too far. She understood that feeling well when she intervened here and there. But even then, the likes of Satori would be in constant communication with her peers and allies, and leave none out of the proceeds.

"While I agree with keeping of the peace, and moreover if the enemy happens to be particularily dangerous..."

All Satori heard were excuses. Satori began with a comment of strictly enforced politeness.

"...Pardon my offending of your sensitive sensibilities, Miss Schnee."

And then, she dropped the hammer right where this human needed it.

"...I listened to your explanation, and I thought very hard on some of it. But, I must ask of you: shouldn't a so-called corporate leader and Guardian have some modicum of leadership skills? While I understand that the safety of Nova City - and the safety of all the other cities, as well - is paramount, there's much to be desired from this plan. The fact that we can't inform our deputies of this issue risks excluding them orlosing their support, should they ever find this out and take it the wrong way. Your intentions are well warranted, but the way it's organized, it creates an air of unpleasant collusion that I doubt I'd ever like to experience. Our deputies were hand-picked long before this threat showed itself. There isn't much reason to hide things from people who aren't even spies."

A sigh, punctuated by a plaintive mew of an inquisitive cat nearby.

"To put this a little more simply, there's a much easier way of catching these colourful characters than this convoluted mess. To hide such an important operation from one's own allies as much as one's enemies, to overstep the boundaries of a Guardian...it all reeks of pointless organizational suicide. But by all means, don't come crying to me if your intentions cause worse harm than your rivals, or the capricious way which you've /chosen/ your friends."

A small huff from the mind-reader's feed. She did not approve at all. However, she did add, almost as an aside to her acrid speech...

If you'd like to share what actual suggestions you have, I'll take them, but frankly I'm not going to pardon anything. You've said nothing constructive, nothing helpful, and nothing useful. I don't know if you realize that saying "pardon my offending" doesn't actually mean anything if followed by a series of insults with neither constructive criticism or actual listed faults. I don't have sensitive sensibilities, but I expect someone in a leadership position to know the difference between insults and criticism.

[ Satori's "hammer" wasn't so much a blunt object as it was one of those inflatable bop-its in Weiss's opinion. Annoying but ultimately accomplished nothing. She goes on, however, to further explain a couple of things. ]

Singular "colorful character" in this case, and while you've managed to say a lot, my leadership abilities are just fine and frankly? You haven't said anything that undermines the plan I've listed. Cinder managed to bring a kingdom to its knees without the power she gained at the end of the battle. Any face-to-face contact with her regardless of the overconfidence of individuals who think just because they're not human they're immune to anything humans are capable of is risking lives.

To put things a little more simply, Guardian Komeiji, I'm a reasonable person and I've thought this plan out thoroughly. I didn't knee-jerk decide we should go after Cinder because she appeared here and because of what happened back home. This plan will work. It's not an overstep of my boundaries to pick up a criminal who has committed crimes in my city in a non-combative manner and none of the individuals in Fayren are under my employ regardless. I'm not asking for your support nor would I ever come crying to you, but I'm telling you as a courtesy. If I fail then it's on me and I'll take responsibility. It's my plan and by keeping this between us and as a courtesy, you and your people won't be seen as complicit in this plan should it fail and Cinder decides to seek retribution. Your entire office being aware of and potentially involved the plan, however, would make you a potential target. I take it you can understand the logic in that.
