[It's subtle, but Jaune becomes more on edge as they enter the coliseum. He actually hesitates entering the battle ring, and forces his feet to move. They feel similar to lead, and he doesn't trust anyone in the audience, but he tries to block them out and focus on Levi.

He brings his shield up a little too fast and tries countering with his sword.]

[The audience has never really bothered Levi so there is no hesitation from his end. At least the boy had the right reaction to being under attack, even if he could use a little work on his timings.

Since it's all meant to be a test, Levi will attempt to clash their swords together to see how much power he holds as he puts pressure on him.]

[Levi is strong. He feels like he's going up against Nora, only with the same power and more speed. Jaune might not be anywhere near the top of his class, but he's learned how to take a hit without falling. Blocking a fellow sword user is easier than a giant hammer. He tries pressing Levi's swords against him, swinging his away to free himself of the clash, and tries to strike him.]

[Jaune is able to push him away, but that's the moment when he takes advantage of his gear and hooks himself into the nearby wall away he goes.

Well, it's all to bounce off that wall and make another, faster, attempt at a strike at Jaune - this time with both of his blades ready instead of just one.]

Good to know.

[Not only does Levi have the advantage in speed and power, he basically has his surroundings at his advantage. That leads Jaune to pause, nearly hesitating before he brings up his shield and kneels behind it. Screaming, he uses his shield to try and force Levi back like a linebacker.]

[Levi makes contact with Jaune's shield, this time pushing him back with the help of both of his blades.]

[He's learned enough about the Coliseum to know there are less consequences here. Rationally, he knows he should be able to use his aura here and if it got too low that Weiss wouldn't hire someone she couldn't trust. Getting past his own reservations is difficult, but with little time to react, that's all he can do. He focuses like he's been practicing into his shield, using it as a conduit for his aura. As his shoes dig into the ground while he's pushed back, he swings his arm, hoping to push Levi away in the process.]
