[Mewtwo appears before the network today after having put up numerous wanted posters around Fayren with an artist's sketch. The man in the poster features one grey eye, one blue eye, and shoulder-length brown hair. The posters also have a sizable reward listed for information regarding the apprehension of the individual. When appearing before his camera, he has a poster held up as well for the benefit of those outside of Fayren.]

As many Fayren residents have noticed, there have been Wanted Posters like this one posted throughout Fayren. This man is wanted in connection to the ongoing investigation into the group known as the Hands of Decay. I believe this man is primarily the reason why the Hands of Decay have been eluding efforts to apprehend them. He paid a bartender to spike the drinks of members of the guard. The bartender has been dealt with, and further incidents will not happen like that. However, the fact remains that the Hands of Decay had been able to receive information about the investigation and had taken steps to move unseen.

In addition to attempting to bring this man into custody, I have decided to change how the patrols are conducted. Those still interested in aiding in the investigation I request to contact me privately so as to receive new assignments.

Hello. I think we've spoken once before but I've been trying to help Lucy with the Hands of Decay. My book shop is in Fayren so I'm there each day.

If there is anything I can do to help further please let me know.

For now, simply displaying the posters and alerting me of any suspicious activity would be helpful.

I would like to speak with all involved at once if at all possible. For now, however, I would suggest against active patrols. They've become too visible. I will be compiling a list of possible points of interest that I would have under surveillance instead.

The Hands of Decay are a criminal organization that has been targeting magic users in Fayren as victims of violence.

[At the second question though, Mewtwo just makes an unamused face.]

[Blaze has been interested in aiding in the investigation of this organization since Levy told him of it. If this man... creature... thing... person was responsible for some of the investigations, he may be the one to talk to.]

I can't use magic, but would I still be of use to aid in this investigation?

[He honestly has no idea if being incapable of magic would be of any importance or not, so he had to make special mention of it.]

That makes sense. I suppose that's not very surprising, given what you said before. But if they've learned to work around our patrols, we'll need a new strategy.

[ Oh hey cool she's learned how to get this thing to work. She seems a little worried, frowning at the feed as she takes a last few seconds to try and figure out just how to ask her questions. ]

I am afraid I have only recently arrived to this world, and so I do not know the goings on in Fayren as well as I would like. May I ask just what the Hands of Decay are, and why they are so dangerous?

[It takes a while for Richard to remember how to make this private, but he accomplishes it.]

It is clear to me now that despite the good intention of those on the guard, they are not as untouchable as I had hoped. I was unable to ascertain exactly what information they extracted from the guards, as even their memories were muddled beyond reconstruction...

[Mewtwo considers for a moment before speaking.]

...You may be able to take on a part of the investigation that none of those that have volunteered before could. It would not be a safe mission, and I will not give it to you if you are the least bit hesitant. That said, I would provide as much support as I can.

They are a group of criminals that have been targeting those with magical powers for acts of violence. When they announced their presence, it was with a note attached to the corpse of a native of Fayren that practiced magic.

And I appreciate all help in this matter. As for what we know about him, there is little to go on. He was last seen in the forest on the outskirts of Fayren, and has drugged at least two members of the Fayren guard. I was unable to ascertain what information - if any - he extracted from them, but it is safe to assume that he is dangerous, and that the guard may be compromised.

Well, no one is untouchable. I'm starting to wonder if Richard had a point...that we won't find any answers by just patrolling.

He had suggested playing their game...making them think they've successfully intimidated us into submission.

[She's still shrugging at the idea, though.]

[He shakes his head.]

That is not something I can allow. That will only lead to more innocents being put in the line of fire. As it is, their activity has been all but halted. I do have a plan, but it is not something I am ready to discuss just yet.

I was sort of thinking the same thing. I'd been unsure of the idea myself. Are you sure their activity is really halted when they keep finding ways to slip past us?

[She does give a sigh of both relief and disappointment to hear that Mewtwo has a plan. More waiting...]

All right...I suppose we'll just have to wait...

They may be moving in the shadows, but there have been exceptionally few victims, and no deaths. I simply ask for some patience in this matter.

I see. So all manner of being capable of magic is at risk.

[ Okay weird cat-like creature, you do have her attention. Adela's frowning, clearly worried about what she's just heard about this group, even if the reason isn't immediately evident. ]

Beyond giving any information about this man we may come across, is there anything you would have the residents of Fayren do?

[He might have an idea on what could be involved, and if that's the case, he'd still be willing to take it on. He helped put an end to one dangerous conflict, he's willing to do it again. He doesn't seem the least bit intimidated.]

What would be involved?

[She smiles once more and then turns off the feed.]

Did all those guards die? They holding funerals for 'em?

[ She'll definitely make sure to attend if so. ]

[If Mewtwo had fur, it'd be bristling right about now. Something about the enthusiasm regarding death was... well it was different at least.]

The guards are fine. The Hands of Decay only target those with magical abilities. The guards in question were lacking such abilities and were simply used for information.
