[Action in Fayren]
[If one happens to look into Fayren's skies, they may spot some dragons flying by. One with a keen eye would be able to recognize Azalea leading the way. However, the two dragons following her are much larger and easier to spot.]
[Concerned about Fayren's wildlife after reading the newspaper article regarding the ecosystem, Azalea decides to bring Percival and Brahm to help her investigate. Despite being twin dragons hatched from the same nest, Brahm has grown quite a bit larger than Percival. (Size comparisons)]
[Percival and Brahm are the perfect candidates - fearless, skilled with magic, and somewhat knowledgeable with science. Once Azalea spots the area with dead trees, she descends towards the center of it all. The two furry dragons clad in classic mad scientist costumes land behind her.]
This has to be it. It's just like what was written in the paper.
[Percival pulls the newspaper from his leather pack, reading part of the article aloud.] "The trees and animals show no signs of disease, with the causes of death labeled 'undetermined.' A few magical scholars have suggested a supernatural cause for the sudden and rapid spikes in wildlife deaths, but due to the growing threat of the Hands of Decay, any investigation of the involvement of magic has been placed on hold indefinitely."
[Brahm scratches his head.] So, we are to look for a supernatural cause?
Or a magical cause. Because the Hands of Decay have threatened to eliminate all practitioners of magic within Fayren, people are afraid to use magic to investigate this ecosystem. That's why I wanted you two to come along. I know the Hands of Decay won't deter you from using magic.
Us?
Afraid?
[The two dragons glance at each other for a long moment before looking at Azalea again, and speaking in unison.] Naaaahhh...
[Azalea smiles.] I suppose nothing scares you two.
[Percival glances at Brahm again.] Only fear.
[Brahm bows his head towards Azalea.] Indeed.
All right, let's just get to work. [Azalea moves to start examining the dead trees, while the twins separate to examine other trees.]

Upon overhearing the three’s conversation she steps forward, pulling her hood down so that they might see her. There is a serious expression on her lips, though she looks relaxed.]
Excuse me, I was collecting thing nearby and overheard.
[Under her arm is a basket filled with herbs mostly used in medical remedies.]
Will you really be able to find what’s poisoning the forest?
no subject
[Azalea turns as well.] ...That's what we're hoping. Since there's no sign of disease, we're fairly certain that there's some sort of supernatural cause...or a magical cause. Perhaps we can narrow it down...
no subject
I don't think we should rule out a disease. I've seen some caused by the presence of the underworld and while it takes magic to cure it shows signs like this. [She gestures towards the plants.]
Of death and sapping a plant's strength. I'd offer to help but I'm not a wizard.

[Percival glances in her direction.] Perhaps we should have brought a Plague dragon.
[Brahm nods in agreement.] We could take a sample with us for Rafadel to examine. A dead animal, perhaps?
Maybe... [Azalea turns to the woman again.] So, what would you suggest?
no subject
I know very little of these things. However, we should try what we can. [Her eyes gaze a dark gaze towards the forest.]
We might run out of time. If there are others who can help I suggest they take a look as well.
no subject
Hmm... [The two Tundras pondered.]
So our best bet would be to bring a deceased animal back to the lair for examination.
[Brahm glances at Percival, his eyes lighting up.] Autopsy?
[There's a long pause as they continue to look at each other, their grins gradually growing wider. And then they made their conclusion in unison.]
Autopsy!
[Azalea sighs at them, significantly less excited about the idea.]

I'll be off then. You appear to have these things well at hand.
[She's planning to bring Richard here but other than having him look at the plants there is little she can do and he most likely won't be able to see what's wrong.]
