Fayren Mini Event [Open]
Who: Open
What: A house exploded in Fayren! Why ever could that be?
Where: Fayren
When: Friday, close to midnight.
Warnings: Dark themes.
This was a disaster. There were wanted posters all over the town with his face on them, which made it impossible to do what he needed to do in the city. Needless to say, he couldn't stick around any longer. But it was difficult to get out of the city. He knew the guard routes before like the back of his hand, but with them changed now..it was just far more troublesome. But he had a plan, of sorts.
It played into something else he needed to do here in town. Under the cover of night, he moved through the city, having procured a certain little something while he was out in city. He returned to his base of operation here.
It was just a weathered old house. The woman that lived there was a mean old elderly mage. She was a shut in and anyone that came knocking at her door was always greeted with a less hospitable attitude. She was dead now, having been killed by him to use her place of residence as his base.
The fact that it had a reputation and that no one would come snooping around made it perfect. Slipping back inside through the back entrance unseen was simple enough. Now he just needed to set things up.
[ooc: TL;DR version, Levy spotted and followed the man wanted for his connection to the Hands of Decay. He arranged for his base of operation in the city to explode so he could sneak out of the town while the guards were busy. Levy was inside when it exploded.
A search for the man will take place in a thread in the post.]

Levy’s arms stretched over head as the hour crept up on her. It isn’t the first time she’s lost track of what she was doing due to reading and it wasn’t going to be the last. She glanced outside before gathering her things and slipping into the night. She’d rather sleep in a bed which was her plan before catching the familiar features of the man stalking through the dark.
If the moon had been hidden she might not have seen him but there was no forgetting that face. She saw it, day in and day out, on the flyers that littered the city.
She was decent when it came to stealth, it wasn’t the first time she had followed someone and given her skills she was more accustom to using her head over pure might. She waited until he disappeared into the house before silently moving to follow him inside. Her height also came as an advantage, because she was short and it was more common to inspect what was at eyelevel before looking down. Hazel eyes peer inside, her head bent forward to see as much of the room as she could.
Inside the house on the walls was information. Information that he'd gathered during his time here. Lists of names, addresses, typical walking routes, families, known magic capabilities and known acquaintances among other things. There were even maps with various locations marked off. Different colored ink on the map marked guard patrol routes while another colored ink marked typical routes of the more higher up city officials.
This wasn't just something that cropped up over night. It took time to gather it all. Fortunately, this was all just one copy of it. He'd passed off a second one to another Thumb to deliver to the hands. How accurate it all was after this, he didn't know. But that didn't matter right now.
He went fast to work, mixing various chemicals together and setting them throughout the house. It wasn’t imperative that he got rid of the stuff, be felt more comfortable doing it. With everything in place, he left the house.. It wasn't even five minutes later before a loud explosion rung out through the night and a plume of smoke could be seen rising in the city. With guards going to investigate it, he was able to slip out of the town easily enough.
5 minutes earlier.

She watched curiously noting the ingredients and chemicals that he mixed together. Even from her hiding place the smell stung her nose making her wrinkle her face. She didn’t know what that was but it probably wasn’t good. Seeing the man leave the house she ducked out of sight and then slipped in behind him.
Her eyes quickly scanned over the information trying to remember as much of it as she could. She’s always had an amazing memory, it came from reading and she hoped to use that skill now. She didn’t know how much time she had.
Levy read names and address first, nothing those of whom were in danger of becoming targets. She then glanced at the maps and locations but she knew her time was up. Levy's vision would be filled with flames as the house exploded, a sound any in Fayren would be able to easily hear this time of night.
