genessia | Preparing for a show (Closed)

Luke

[It's getting late. Adachi had visited the tea shop in Genessia once today, but he his now making a return - this time disguised and very well hidden himself in shadows. He has no intention whatsoever to come out of the shadows or go into the shop itself. Rather he's waiting for the owner to come out.

It's time to set his plan in action.]

Yukiko

[After making Luke disappear, he needed to make sure that Yukiko would be out of the picture. Naoto was also here, but she knew far less people than Yukiko which made her a bit more dangerous in a place like this. He couldn't afford making them both disappear in the TV World together, after all, since that would be too easy for them.

All he needed to do was lure her out to Attleton, which he did with a simple anonymous text (even if there wasn't a point since it was obvious who it was from) to her cellphone:]

there's an interesting sub archway in attleton. a very nostalgic one, at that.

[There's a picture that clearly looks that he has a small boy in his possession. They may have clothes very similar to a young boy named Luke, but this is actually a random kid around his size he picked up temporarily.]

i have a hostage, so you better come out alone.

[Luke was a few minutes late closing the shop today, overtired from a several late nights in a row. Slipping on his coat and turning to lock the tea shop's front door, he thinks about the things he needs to attend to the next morning: a small amount of shipment needs to be sorted, he could do with getting more sugar, and he'd promised a customer he'd blend two types of tea together for them. It would be a busy day, but he'd be able to get everything done if he was in early, like he usually was.

Yawning, he turned into the street, slipping his keys back into his pocket and heading towards his flat.]

[Adachi doesn't make his move just yet. Instead, he follows Luke from a good distance, making sure the boy doesn't see him. It's far too open in a place like this for him to do anything, so he'll wait for a better opportunity.]

[It's not that the boy is oblivious. He isn't, really--in fact, Luke really pays rather close attention to his surroundings. But his mind is elsewhere, on thoughts of things that need to be done and work that must be accomplished, on the mysterious death of that young adult in Attleton. One would think that Luke would be listening to the sounds around him like a hawk.

And, in fact, he is. A jostled trash can down the main road startles him, enough that he freezes dead in his tracks. Normally, he takes this road all the way home--it's fast, easy. Safe. But with the strange death that had taken place he's too skittish, and instead diverts to a side-street that he uses occasionally, eyes peeled as he walks. It's not too far from home, now.]

[Adachi smirks as the boy takes the side-street. If that's not a chance then nothing is. He follows Luke to the street with steps faster than before. The side-street isn't long, after all, so he needs to make his move as soon as possible.

He reaches Luke and attempts to hit the boy to the neck with the side of his hand as fast as possible, hoping that would be enough to knock him out.]

[Luke hears the steps coming. He doesn't know it's Adachi, but when he hears the quickened pace, the faster footsteps, he starts to walk faster. He almost breaks into a run when a hand grabs his wrist and the side of another hand strikes his neck. With a startled yelp, he wobbles, the street spinning around him.

Still, Luke's got fight in him--enough fight to try and run. He pulls against the hand around his wrist, trying to slip away, movements uncoordinated as a result of the earlier strike.]

[The man stops himself from making any annoyed sound so that the kid wouldn't have any hints on who he might be, instead he'll tighten his grip on Luke's wrist and pulls him closer, trying to make the pain do the final bidding on him passing out.]

[It doesn't take much more. Pain in his wrist, pulled closer to the stranger behind him, the world tilting on its side and bringing him with it. Adachi had chosen an easy target. Luke's size made him easy to overtake. With a final tug, the boy is out like a light, collapsed against the figure of the kidnapper behind him.]

[Finally. Adachi takes Luke in his arms and carries him away from the place with him, towards the Attleton gate - while making sure he isn't spotted by anyone because that would definitely bring a halt to his plans.

As he's being as careful as he is, it takes him a while to get to the TV World gate, but as he gets there, he places the boy on the ground. The shadows pay no attention to either of them and he can leave the area the same way he came from.

By the time Luke wakes up, the dungeon will have changed its shape according to his heart.]

[She always checked her cell phone whenever she could manage to take a break from work or from other activities she might have been doing. However there was always something she never expected to come across and that was the awful text message.

It was obvious who it was from, no doubt and deep down she figured that she should tell someone, but he said to go alone. She could handle him alone? Since there fight and the time she had been here, she felt like she was much stronger, much more confident in herself so it shouldn't be too hard.

Making sure she had her fan at least, along with her phone for just in case, she started to head off. She was going to prove to herself she could do it.]

[Adachi is hanging around the subarchway he created. The are directions for Yukiko to actually find the place being sent after the awful first message. He's leaning on a tree, looking at the direction she's most likely going to come from, while keeping his guard up.

The boy is still on the ground, fast asleep, unaware of anything happening.]

[She had made sure to keep her fan firmly in place as she followed to where the message had taken her, spotting the boy as she ran on over to check that they are okay.]

[Once she gets there, she will notice that this definitely is not Luke Triton. Though he's so very fast asleep he won't be waking up right away.]

Whoops, look at that. I misplaced my original hostage somewhere.

[Well whoever it was, at least they were safe. But it caused her to stand up straight, gripping her fan tightly, ready for a show down if she had to.]
