[The video starts with Dante adjusting the camera in what appears to be a rundown shop. A drum set, a jukebox, and two chairs are visible in frame, but that's all for a moment. At least until Dante returns, carrying a purple guitar, strung with lightning. He flops into one chair that creaks under him before he addresses the camera.]

Just a little heads up, but Devil May Cry is open for business. It's at the end of the Slum Street gate in Attleton. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got a long overdue date with Nevan here.

[He grins as he pokes a button on the jukebox and propping his feet up on the opposing chair. When nothing happens for a while, a foot swings out and kicks the jukebox into action as a song starts to play. Dante meanwhile effortlessly keeps up with the guitar part, and apparently the bass all at once. As the song progresses there's even a bit of a light show about him that one might expect to see on a stage at a big concert with an occasional bat sneaking into frame. But, as the song winds down, Dante stands, walks over, and turns the feed off.]

[He swings Nevan up onto his shoulder.]

I know you're listening Lady. Can't get enough of me, can ya?

[He just laughs and pats Nevan.]

Hand me any other guitar and I wouldn't be able to carry a tune in a bucket. I just have a... natural expertise in every weapon I pick up.

[He holds Nevan by the neck of the guitar, flipping it slightly as it shifts into a scythe.]

Nevan just happens to be a weapon and a guitar.

There's a boy my teammates fought from Atlas that had a weapon that was an instrument. That thing is pretty normal in Remnant. One of my teacher's weapons appears to be a coffee mug until you see what else it can do.

[Just have a laugh.]

If he's here, send him my way. We could give "battle of the bands" a whole new meaning.

By the way, remember that thing we talked about? [He ducks off screen for a moment before retrieving a slightly glowing katana.] Picked this thing up on one of my jobs. Not quite a Devil Arm, and nowhere near as high quality as Yamato, but I can mimic Vergil's fighting style with it at least.

I'm ready to train again whenever you are. And for what it's worth, you ever need a safehouse, consider Devil May Cry your home away from home.

I think he might be. [Blake was pretty sure she might have spotted him on the network somewhere. She peered at the blade in curiosity and her ears perked at the mention of training.]

Thanks...I uh...[She looks awkward. But not unhappy. She's privating this part because of who might read it and it's no ones business.] I'm kind of back with my partner now. [She looks hesitant, but the moment passes as her expression changes to resolve.] I still want to train though. So I can protect those around me.

That's good to hear. I'm not going anywhere, and the offer extends to your friends too. Not gonna tell you that you need to be training this very instant though. Take some time, catch up, and when you're ready, let me know.

I do need to do it soon, though. Or something will happen and once again, I won't be prepared.

Just let me know when you're ready. We can use Slum Street as a training place. Nobody really comes here and it's spacious enough.

[ Oh wow, that decor . . . ]

What kind of . . . shop is it?

[He picks up the camera, making sure the skulls that defy both human and animal biology stuck to the wall with various swords.]

I take on odd jobs. I guess you could say I'm a big game hunter by trade.

Cool, I . . . think. Is there a lot of call for that work in this city?

[He flops into a slightly more comfortable but equally as old looking chair at a desk, propping his feet up on the desk with half of what appears to be a massive sword mounted behind him.]

Not really, unfortunately. Which is why I've gone back to odd jobs.

What kind of odd jobs?

[ What eve qualifies as an odd job? ]

[He shrugs.]

At this point, just about anything so long as there's money involved. Heck, I'll even get cats out of trees at this point.

...can't say the tree has much hope of survival though.

I heard they have bounties here. You could try that. There's probably a lot of money involved there.

[ He'd pass on it. Superheroes don't go bounty-hunting. It's probably against the rules. ]

Yeah, but going after humans doesn't sit well with me. If you hadn't noticed, non-lethal force isn't really my thing. I'm a Demon Hunter, kid. It's a pretty kill-or-be-killed job.

There's only been two humans I've ever gone up against, and both of them had rejected their humanity in favor of demonic power. I'd prefer to not go after normal people if only because I'm ill-equipped to bring anyone in alive.

No wonder you're having trouble finding a job. Maybe you need some kind of . . . promotion?

[ It's kind of his problem now. He can't really fight normal people to uphold the law. That'd be too much. ]

...what you mean like advertising?

Yeah. Maybe take a video of you showcasing your skills and ask if people are interested.

[ That would be the best way. That's how his dad does business anyway. ]

I'm not a PR person, kid. In my world, I've even got a password that people have to know to get a conversation directly with me, and an agent that brings the smaller jobs to me.

Publicity isn't exactly my thing.

Then how are you going to keep this business running?

[ He doubts there's that much call for a large guy with sword. ]

[He shrugs a bit, engaging his troll mode.]

Oh I dunno. There's a strip club down the street. I could always work the pole for a few bucks.

Besides, having this place is less about having the business as much as it is having a base of operations and my collection of toys. I've amassed quite the selection.

I'm surprised you can even afford a place like this.

[That just gets a chuckle.]

Let's just put it this way. The people that know my password have the deepest pockets, and know not to waste my time on anything that isn't world-threatening.

3 jobs like that have kept me in business for the better part of two decades. Just to give you an idea. ...Though I didn't even get paid for my first big job...

Maybe, maybe not. Either way, I'll find a way to get by. That's what I do best.

[ So basically the world has to be in a crisis. ]
