8 Penguins | Action - Backdated to the 29th March

[At the Freestyle/Splash House - Closed to Gou]
[Nagisa should be use to the things that happened here, but yet at the same time it still hurt when it would happen. First it was Rei-chan, now a co-worker was dead. Killed after being kidnapped. It was just horrible to thought what happened. Whenever he was't in the best of moods he would either take Ai out for a walk, or simply sit by the pool by himself, looking at the rather calming water.

He knew the others were out for the time, at least as far as he was aware, so sitting by the pool seemed like the best option. Even more so since Ai seemed to enjoy taking a nap right now.]

[When he wasn't at home, he had found himself wondering around, either going to or from work or shopping. At work he served customers as normal, but he wasn't his normal cheerful self. He smiled sure, but that was not a smile he did normally. When he was wondering around, it seemed as though there was something on his mind, but wasn't making it obvious.]

[Gou noticed that Nagisa wasn't his normal cheerful self. Although, not that she could really blame him for the things that have been going on lately. She's heard about it, but she didn't really know anyone involved in it exactly. Gou had been pretty busy with work herself, but after a longer work day than normal, she finally returned home. Seeing Nagisa sitting by the pool, she decided to join him, taking a seat next to him.]

The weather is getting nicer out. [Maybe not the best starter, but it was something.]

[He looked over slightly. Ah, he didn't realize she had even been home really. Guess time flies when one was too focused on something. Putting on a tiny smile, he figured he might as well at least talk.]

It is, it means it's nearly a good time for swimming outdoors. I'm looking forward to it.

[His eyes moved to look up at the sky, if only for a moment.]

Gou-chan... I'm glad that you didn't get kidnapped. With everything that happened I thought I should at least say that.

That way you don't have to travel far to swim.

[Lightly smiling until the last bit.]

Yeah... I'm.. okay. It's a shame what's been going on...

[He nodded slightly, looking over to the side. He felt awful about it. Wondering of what could have been for the most part. Maybe he could have done something, but he knew that was not a good thing to do.]

Yeah... [He paused for a moment, his eyes lingering back toward the pool.]

A... co-worker was one of the victims... Just heard recently that she died.

O-oh! I'm sorry to hear that. [That's rough! How do you react to that properly?]

[He smiled slightly, he was at least glad that she cared.]

I guess with this happening, it really hits home that well... you can die here. You can leave at any time as well... [It was making him think a lot, eyes looking toward the water.]

I can't say that you should make a promise that you won't leave or anything like that, but I just hope that Rin-chan, Sou-chan and you don't vanish.

Well.... I won't leave intentionally. That's the best I can do.

[She'll just watch the water a bit herself.]

[Which he was happy with at least. That was probably all he wanted.]

The water is rather claming to watch, don't you think?

Yeah. [She'll just gently squeeze his hand.] Everything will be fine. I'll stay here as long as I can, so you don't have to worry.

And I will stay as long as I can.

[He didn't know how long that would be, but he knew he would try anyway. He smiled slightly, looking over to her for a moment.]

Hey, we should do something while we're not working.

Sure. What did you have in mind?

I didn't actually have anything in mind.

[He laughs slightly.]

[Levy steps outside her shop and begins doing some basic maintenance on its front. She glances around occasionally and waves to those she knows walking by. She spots Nagisa walking passed and pauses in her work to say hello to her friend.]

Nagisa!

[She waves her hand and steps towards him with a smile.]

How have you been?

[He looked over slightly, it was nice to see friends that were still here and alive right now. It was nice.]

Levy-chan... I've been doing well. How about you?

[Levy's had a full recovery from her own incident and chose not to tell her friends about it who didn't already know. It doesn't feel all that important to mention.]

Good. [As good as she can be with things happening in Fayren.]

Are you taking a walk?

Uh, yeah... Good way to clear ones head.

[Though it really wasn't doing the best job after all. But he was going to keep trying.]

[Levy's brow creased.]

What's on your mind?

[He paused, wondering if he really should say something. Seemed like it would be a good idea after all, right?]

Just... someone I worked with... I heard they died recently.

[Levy's brows furrowed.]

I'm so sorry Nagisa. Who was it?

Her name was Anna. Do you know who she is?

[Because sometimes not everyone knows everyone.]

[Levy shakes her head.]

Not personally, no. I'm sorry Nagisa... I hadn't known she was a friend of yours.

[She'll be back, those who die come back but Levy knows that it might provide very little comfort to tell Nagisa this.]

[He nodded slightly. It was still an awful thing no matter what.]

We aren't close friends, we only talk during work hours, but I guess... I considered her as such.

[Levy gives Nagsia an expression that suggests that she understand the sting of losing someone.]

It’s okay to be sad. Would you like to come in for a drink? I only have water but you can take a look around the shop and see if there is a book you like.

I think water is okay, since I'm not sure you would have the kind of books I would read.

[He was at least trying to smile.]

Really? What books would you want to read?

[She honestly didn't know Nagisa liked any books.]

Do you know what comics and manga are?

[Levy laughs softly.]

Yes, one of my friends really likes them so I collected a few.

[She pushes the door open to her shop and gestures inside.]

I'll show you.

[He nodded slightly as he went to walk in, looking around. He visited now and again, but not often enough to know the ins and outs of the place.]

This place is really huge now I pay attention to it.

[Levy laughs and shakes her head.]

It's been growing. The more people request types of books, the more I carry. Over here.

[She waves at him, pausing in front of a collection of graphic novels and comics.]

This is what I have.

Wow. How did you manage to find so many though?

[He had started to look through quietly. His mind at least not thinking about what he had heard right now.]

I've had the shop for awhile. I've just collected them, I don't ever stop.

[People also help.]

I have a lot of books at home too.

Doesn't it get a bit crowded with the number of books though?

[Unless you live in a mansion or something, in which case then you could get so many books in there.]

Sometimes but I like it.

[It makes her happy to be surrounded by books.]

Books are always there, even when things are rough. Sometimes I use it as a distraction.

[Distractions he can understand if he had to be honest, he had his own for certain things, like what this world seems to like throwing at him from time to time.]

But people are also always there when times are rough.

That's true.

[Levy smiles at him before clapping her hands together.]

Okay. What comics do you like? I have a few super hero ones.

I'll pretty much read anything.

[He wasn't picky when it came to things like that as he managed to pick a couple out before going to get his money.]

[She pulls Chi's Sweet Home from the shelf.]

This one is about a really cute cat.

[She smiles as he begins to inspect the shelves and pull out books that he might like.]

[He opens the manga going to flip through it. A story about a cat. If ai caught on and understood it would she destroy it? He knew it was a possibility because she did like to chew. Putting it down he was looking at a couple others, pulling them out before placing them to the side.]

I think I picked out enough that I could afford.

[Levy laughs softly and shakes her head.]

Okay. It's 10 red bills per book.

[He had gone and placed the red bills out. He thankfully had more than enough.]

There we go. Sometimes it is nice to be able to have a small amount of spending money.

It's not to much is it?

[She has to keep her prices steady or she wouldn't be able to pay her employees.]

No too much, no.

[At least to him anyway. He couldn't say the same for others.]

I'm glad.

[She smiles brightly.]
