03 | Action & Text
Who: Airy & OPEN
Where: Genessia Hospital
When: March 29th - April 3rd
What: After these happenings. She's in the hospital for a few days before being allowed to head home and some text's to friends.
Warnings: Talks of Blood and injuries.
[Airy doesn't remember the first 12 hours in the hospital which saves her from at least twelve hours of boredom. She isn't good at staying put and thinking about her kidnapping makes her head spin and then hurt. She can't have caffeine or anything else she enjoys because of the medicine they have her taking and the steady stream of blood being pumped into her arm. Her ankle and shoulder are bandaged but the painkillers stop them from hurting.
The worst part about painkillers is that they make it to hard to focus on things like reading or writing but it isn't enough to just knock her out and make her sleep. She ends up playing a lot of candy crush on her phone; after sending a few somewhat awkward texts to those she knew.
Her stomach rumbles and she drops her phone onto her abdomen as if that might make the insistent feeling go away. Airy really likes eating, specifically breakfast, and while the food here isn't awful it isn't very good either. She misses real food and that fact alone makes her sad.]
Text; OPEN
I'm bored. Anyone interested in talking? Or telling me a story? Any distraction?
Private Text; Danny & Dave & Nathan
Thank you for saving me.
Private Text; Cas
Sorry... I have the candy and real, not spidery moving twinkies. Something came up... I don't know when I'll be able to stop by. I haven't forgotten though!
I'll see you soon okay?

I'll see you soon okay?
action;
Of course, he saw a particular name outside a room on his way through the hall and paused. He'd wondered if that was the same Airy that he spoke to his 'first' day here. If it was, he'd want to check up on her. He heard multiple people were kidnapped after he was, and he was hoping she hadn't gone through what he did.
He knocks on the doorframe and peers in, his eyes falling on the bedridden girl.]
Airy?
action;
Um... Blaze right? What are you doing here?
[She lets her phone rest on her stomach, her fingers lightly picking at it's case. She doesn't look very healthy and she knows that however she hopes she doesn't look completely horrible either. She's at least gotten the color back in her face.]
action;
[And boy, hanging around for days in a hospital bed is so much fun. He steps into the room, looking a little concerned.]
Are you okay? You look like a mess.
action;
Ah... is it that bad?
[Airy starts to run her fingers through her hair, pulling the mass of brown over her right shoulder. It's really the only part of her appearance she can control right now and it's probably a good thing that she doesn't have a mirror. A soft huff leaves her lips and she gives up trying to adjust her appearance. At least she has a blanket she can hide under.]
I've been better.
[She finally replies to his first question in a small voice.]
action;
No, I wouldn't worry about that. The bed would just mess it up again.
[Not that his hair is the most well kept any other time, but after a couple days, he'd probably looked like he got into a fight with a crocodile. Must be why one of the nurses fixed his hair occasionally, despite his confusion.
His smile fades and he walks over to her bedside, taking a seat in a nearby chair.]
What happened?
action;
I guess so.
[She still doesn't sound happy. She turns her head, watching him as he takes his seat.]
I... [She exhales a breath and turns to look back at the white ceiling.] I don't really know. Honestly, It's hard to think about and I keep making myself confused.
action;
You weren't wrapped up in the recent kidnappings, were you?
action;
I don't know who all was taken.
action;
I don't know who else he went after, but he targeted me as well.
action;
Yeah...
[Her voice trails off slightly.]
Before I was taken there were a few reports of people missing. I kid named Conan and a girl named Anna. I didn't really pay much attention to it.
[Which she feels awful about now.]
action;
I don't know what happened out here after Adachi knocked me unconscious. I don't even know how much time passed before I woke up.
[He certainly would mind seeing Adachi again though. If only so he could knock his lights out like Blaze watched Nagase do to Hamilton. Blaze sure learned a thing or two from that girl. He shook his head then.]
If you'd rather not talk about it, we don't need to. I could get you something if you'd want.
[He doesn't exactly want to make her uncomfortable. He has an idea of what she may have gone through, and the idea is still messing with him a little. He can't imagine how it's affecting her. He also knows how terrible hospital food is so he'd be perfectly willing to get her something from outside the hospital.]
action;
Thanks Blaze. You're really nice. [She's honestly really glad to know him.] We can talk, I just don't know what to say. It's a lot of things I was running from. I knew I was, I feel like I still am because I'm not home. It isn't as if I can make things right here but...
[She shrugs, gingerly pulling her knees to her chest. She's careful of her ankle which is wrapped in bandages.]
There isn't much good food in a hospital.
action;
I guess everyone who was taken to that place went through the same thing. Having the things we held back and ran from set out right in front of us. I won't say I understand what you went through, but I have an idea of what it was like.
[Somehow, beyond the fact that Adachi hit him with a really heavy book, Blaze managed to get out of there unharmed. Physically, anyway. Mentally, he was exhausted to say the least.]
Hospital food is about on par with military rations. [Eeeuuugh.] Would you want anything?
action;
I don't want to try military rations. Honestly, I'd do anything for a hamburger or one of those chicken sandwiches from Checkers. I miss fast food.
[French fries were the best.]
Considering they have me all hooked up and on painkillers I can't pronounce I don't think I'm suppose to eat anything like that, or have caffeine.
action;
I'm sure there are a lot of things that doctors say we shouldn't be eating. It gets them out of having to get real food.
[He thought for a moment before he stood from his chair, glancing over his shoulder while heading for the door.]
I'll ask the nurse.
[He'll step out of the room to track down one of the nursing staff. He'll actually be gone for quite a while, but eventually, a text will come through to Airy's device.]
Managed to pull a few strings. What do you want me to bring back for you?
action;
You don't-
[A hand reaches out to try and stop him but he's already gone. The nurses have been really nice and Airy's tried not to bother them. She doesn't want to be a pain. Airy feels her phone buzz and almost jumps. She looks down at the text and smiles.]
Fries? Really anything you think is good. Just nothing gross. :)
text;
What qualifies as 'gross'?
[Because what he might like could end up being something she doesn't.]
text;
1. Ketch up
2. Pickles
3. Salmon
4. Anchovies
5. Brussels sprouts
text;
[He couldn't resist sending that. Even if the idea grossed him out a little too. His late wingman must have rubbed off on him.]
text;
text -> action;
[She wouldn't have to wait too long after that message for Blaze to eventually return. It wasn't too far of a walk from the hospital to pick Airy up something that was actually edible. So he'll be knocking on the door and peering in again before stepping in and offering her the bag. He also had two milkshakes in a carrier in his other hand too.]
Here. Hopefully this will give you a needed morale boost.
[And thankfully, no, it wasn't the horror of a salmon anchovie burger.]
action;
Yes. Thank you blaze.
[She nods towards the milkshakes.]
What flavors?
action;
Just basic chocolate and vanilla. I hope you're okay with one of them.
[He had a desire for a milkshake himself, and figured to get her one of them too.]
action;
[She smiles at him.]
Which is your favorite? I'll have the other.
[As she spoke she opens the offered bag and begins stealing french fries from inside of it. She has a weakness for the salty fried potato slices. She only eats a few though because she wants to dip them in her milk shake.]
action;
Hopefully I went to a good place. I don't go out to eat very often.
