Who: Airy & OPEN
Where: Genessia Hospital
When: March 29th - April 3rd
What: After these happenings. She's in the hospital for a few days before being allowed to head home and some text's to friends.
Warnings: Talks of Blood and injuries.

[Airy doesn't remember the first 12 hours in the hospital which saves her from at least twelve hours of boredom. She isn't good at staying put and thinking about her kidnapping makes her head spin and then hurt. She can't have caffeine or anything else she enjoys because of the medicine they have her taking and the steady stream of blood being pumped into her arm. Her ankle and shoulder are bandaged but the painkillers stop them from hurting.

The worst part about painkillers is that they make it to hard to focus on things like reading or writing but it isn't enough to just knock her out and make her sleep. She ends up playing a lot of candy crush on her phone; after sending a few somewhat awkward texts to those she knew.

Her stomach rumbles and she drops her phone onto her abdomen as if that might make the insistent feeling go away. Airy really likes eating, specifically breakfast, and while the food here isn't awful it isn't very good either. She misses real food and that fact alone makes her sad.]

[Airy laughs softly, shaking her head.]

When have I wanted you to leave Nathan?

[She doesn't think she's ever asked him to leave, plus she always follows him to work. If she hasn't gotten sick of him by now she's not going too.]

It's boring here though. I don't want to keep you trapped here.

[Pretty much never, in his memory, but he had. For a year.]

You're never boring.

[Airy cant help but laugh.]

Are you sure about that? I think I can be very boring sometimes.

[He smiles, shaking his head.]

I've never been bored.

Just wait for it.

[She smiles and then settles back into her bed. Her eyes shine mischievously as if she's trying to make a point by saying nothing at all.

Are you bored yet Nathan?]

[No, because even sitting in a hospital gown, in a hospital bed, with your hair disheveled, you're beautiful.

He smiles at her but doesn't say anything.]

[Airy doesn't know what is on Nathan's mind. It feels like they are stuck in a staring contest, except with blinking.]

Ah.. [Silence feels weird.] Nice weather?

[Smooth.]

[He can't help but laugh at that.]

You and the weather.

What's wrong with the weather?! The weather is awesome.

[She smiles as if proving her point that she's boring.]

Some weather's awesome. Some...is pretty boring.

Told you I was boring.

[She has to resist the urge to stick her tongue out at him because that's an incredibly childish thing to do.]

Talking about the weather doesn't make you boring.

[Quite the opposite, really. It just makes you adorable...]

Looks like I can't be boring if I try.

[She isn't sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.]

[Nathan leaned back, crossing his arms at that and smirking.]

So, you talk about the weather to be boring? That's news.

No...

[She says in a accentuated tone.]

I like talking about the weather but not many others do.

[Even in Maine she got made fun of for talking about the weather so much. That and whenever Mark or Sara wanted to know the weather they'd ask Airy.]

On that note, is it suppose to rain?

[She isn't supposed to get her bandages wet.]

[He smiles, shaking his head, because he actually checked, knowing she'd want to know.]

Nope. It sure isn't.

[Airy stares at Nathan for a long minute. She hadn't actually thought he'd check, true she wants to know what the weather's like outside but it's a little strange that Nathan remembered that. It's been a few months but she still isn't used to the fact that he knows things about her when they haven't really talked about it yet.

Not that she remembers anyway.

With a soft click of her tongue she shifts to lay down, pulling the covers over the stupid embarrassing nightgown she'd been forced to wear.]

Ah, thank you Nathan. I know I already said this but they're letting me out tomorrow. Will you come then too? Just to walk home together? [That doesn't sound lame right?]

[He nods, smiling as he stands.]

Yeah, I'll come. I'll let you get some rest right now, though.

Yeah.

[She smiles at him and then continues to watch him as he goes. She's pretty sure that the conversation they just had counted as awkward. It seems the more time passed the more awkward she felt around Nathan and she can't really place the reason why.]
