03 | Action & Text
Who: Airy & OPEN
Where: Genessia Hospital
When: March 29th - April 3rd
What: After these happenings. She's in the hospital for a few days before being allowed to head home and some text's to friends.
Warnings: Talks of Blood and injuries.
[Airy doesn't remember the first 12 hours in the hospital which saves her from at least twelve hours of boredom. She isn't good at staying put and thinking about her kidnapping makes her head spin and then hurt. She can't have caffeine or anything else she enjoys because of the medicine they have her taking and the steady stream of blood being pumped into her arm. Her ankle and shoulder are bandaged but the painkillers stop them from hurting.
The worst part about painkillers is that they make it to hard to focus on things like reading or writing but it isn't enough to just knock her out and make her sleep. She ends up playing a lot of candy crush on her phone; after sending a few somewhat awkward texts to those she knew.
Her stomach rumbles and she drops her phone onto her abdomen as if that might make the insistent feeling go away. Airy really likes eating, specifically breakfast, and while the food here isn't awful it isn't very good either. She misses real food and that fact alone makes her sad.]
Text; OPEN
I'm bored. Anyone interested in talking? Or telling me a story? Any distraction?
Private Text; Danny & Dave & Nathan
Thank you for saving me.
Private Text; Cas
Sorry... I have the candy and real, not spidery moving twinkies. Something came up... I don't know when I'll be able to stop by. I haven't forgotten though!
I'll see you soon okay?

I'll see you soon okay?

[ he rubs one of his arms idly, shrugs ]
Eh. [ No. ] It was okay. [ He never sleeps right. ]
no subject
Just okay?
no subject
[ he pushes himself up to his feet, briefly stretching his arms over his head with a yawn then ducking out of the room on her before she could question him further. he keeps rambling on the way out. coffee coffee blah blah blah blah ]
no subject
That's be nice. They'll be back to change my bandages soon anyway and I don't think you can stay in here for that.
[Mostly because of the wound on Airy's shoulder, changing the bandage makes wearing clothes precarious.
She watches him leave and wonders if he even heard her. She hopes he's alright.]
no subject
Okay. I had no idea what you put in it so that one has milk, that's got sugar, that's got cream, and that's got all of it. And this one is pure bitter shit.
no subject
All of it. [She smiles at him, her head tilting to the side as she slips the button down over her shoulders. It’s awkward with her injured shoulder and she struggles to get both arms through the holes.]
I like coffee that tastes nothing like coffee.
no subject
[ he doesn't finish asking if she needs help with that. he puts the cups down and moves closer to her, reaching over to hold the shirt in place so she doesn't have to struggle with it. he gently tugs it over her shoulders the rest of the way once she got her arms in. ]
What the fuck is the point of drinking coffee then?
no subject
Thanks and it's because coffee is delicious.
[She might have a mild coffee addiction thanks to her roommate.]
Would you be up for walking me home? I don't know how long I have to wait to leave. They're giving me pain medicine and extra bandages. [Which she doesn't have yet and honestly Airy is just happy to stand, even if she's limping slightly from her injured ankle.]
no subject
[ Dave is drinking the one with nothing in it- the straight up bitterness. Addiction is a powerful thing. ]
Mmhm. I can do the walking thing. [ as if he wasn't already planning on doing that. ]
no subject
[Airy just smiles at him before looking for any of her things that might have been left in the room. She doesn't have much but she does slip her phone into her pocket.]
I don't know how well I can walk.
[She wonders if they'll give her a crutch, that will look silly...]
no subject
[ he looks down at her ankle ] Huh. I mean, I could like carry you home but- [ he snaps his fingers and points at her. ] Wait. I have an idea.
[ AND he is out of the room again. she can blink and he's gone. he comes back only a moment later, wheeling in a chair. forget crushes. he asked for a wheelchair they can borrow. ]
Get in the car, Airy. We're ditching this popsicle stand.
no subject
She's ready to protest the use of a wheelchair but then Dave talks and Airy's smiling and climbing into the chair. This feels completely ridiculous and maybe a little exciting.]
You're not going to be one of those crazy wheelchair drivers are you?
no subject
I probably should warn you that I don't have a license.
[ but he's not going to zoom her off - because of the hot beverages. he definitely doesn't want anything spilling on her. he double checks that they didn't leave anything and starts at a reasonable pace when he starts pushing her along. ]
Buh-bye hospital. We're not coming back ever.
no subject
I think you'll be safe.
[License or no.]
Let's hope not.
[Airy mumbles glancing back at the bed that had been her prison for the last few days. She dislikes hospitals though it's mostly because of that sterile smell.]
