Action @ the Bay or Anywhere in Genessia | Audio
action; the bay
[Waking up when he didn't remember falling asleep had never ended well with Clay. He sat up quickly in the coffin, thing, his hand going to the grip of the pistol nestled in his shoulder holster, something he's pleased to see he's still wearing.
Disoriented by the surroundings, he looks down briefly to note the weight that had been sitting on his chest and palms the box before climbing out. His telepathy constantly idling tells him there's no one in the immediate vicinity of wherever the hell this is and he re-holsters his pistol to take a look at the box's contents.
He'll look up toward the entrance as soon as he senses any mind that comes into the tunnel, and they should be prepared for a pistol aimed at them, purely defensive obviously.]
audio;
[The voice that comes over the audio feed is deep, resonating, and has an accent that isn't place-able as being from any one region of the U.S. His first statement isn't in English, nor does it carry a heavy English accent. It's in Tagalog, if anyone speaks it, and it roughly translates to "hey, Shadow Boy, if you're around here, sound off."]
Tao ng mga anino, kung nandito ka, sabihin ng isang bagay.
[There's a beat before he continues in English.]
I just stepped off the boat, and I've got a question: how outdated in the information from the hologram? [Because nothing is ever completely up to date.] Surely somebody knows more than "we don't know anything, go squat somewhere until we figure it out".
action; anywhere in genessia city
[Clay isn't going to just choose a place to live without knowing the lay of the city, so he can be found in various locations throughout Genessia City. According to the brochure (why does an inter-dimensional prison have a brochure, by the way? Is it just that much better than all the other inter-dimensional prisons there are to choose from?) Genessia City is the most like the environment he has to choose from, even though his necklace, also know has he newest pocket accessory, suggest otherwise.
He'll be ducking into various shops, bars, and the like, just to get an idea of the city, but he can also be encountered along the many streets.]

action; the bay
[She hopes that makes sense.]
action; the bay
So, you've been here almost a year since coming back, and you were here half a year before that. Do you know how long you were gone?
action; the bay
[She replies softly.]
I don't remember being anywhere else. I remember being home but nothing about this place while I was there. [It continues to confuse her.]
action; the bay
[He looks at her as though looking for confirmation.]
That about right?
action; the bay
Yes.
action; the bay
[He'd been waiting for 16 years to taste freedom again. Almost 2 doesn't seem like such a big deal.]
action; the bay
[Her head tilts to the side.]
Does that help?
[Terra isn't weird, she's just answering his questions in a very literal sense.]
Re: action; the bay
Sort of? [He runs a hand back through his hair.]
I bet you've got a lot of information about this place, seeing as you've been here so long. Mind sharing?
action; the bay
[She can keep spouting off information however it'll grow more and more irrelevant without a direction he wants their conversation to take.]
action; the bay
[He fully intends to know everything there is to know about this place. The idea of being a clone wouldn't even bother him that much...
...it would just piss him off.]
action; the bay
[She can teleport but that doesn't feel like an important detail at the moment.]
action; the bay
So, we all show up here the same way, huh?
[If he didn't know any better, the pod looked like a storage box.]
action; the bay
[She looks towards the pods.]
There is a place that we can regain memories but we don't leave this world... I can't really explain that. I'm sorry.
action; the bay
[He looks back over to her.]
action; the bay
[She can't explain it better than that.]
action; the bay
They just put memories in your head?
action; the bay
[She hasn't actively bothered to go there. She has nothing and no one worth remembering.]
action; the bay
[A pause, and he looks over to her.]
And where does this happen?
action; the bay
I can show you on the map.
[Terra can't give him directs since she's never been there.]
action; the bay
He's not a stranger to mazes, and like those, he's not expecting cheese at the end. He'd done everything in his power the last two years to avoid the hamster wheel, and it looks like he'd done all that trying for nothing.
Except he was going to be a clever little rodent. If there was a way to get the door open, he was going to find it.]
Thanks. That's a big help. [He flashes her a smile.] So, who's in charge around here?
action; the bay
There is the CPU which gives us notifications and then there are the guardians who are elected to help run the cities.
[She doesn't know what else to call them.]
action; the bay
Did you say "CPU"? As in a computer?
action; the bay
[The technology is Terra's world is strange because it runs off of magic as well as steam.]
action; the bay
Do you know what a computer is?
action; the bay
I do but they take a different shape and function on my world. It isn’t the same and everything is given a name I am unfamiliar with.
[She doesn’t know if she can explain magitck or the way they use steamed/magic powered systems. Terra can say that she knows what a computer is, she knows roughly how to use one but she doesn’t know how their internals work.]
