Action; Anywhere in Genessia City
[It didn't take long for the intelligent Drow to figure out the functions of the communications crystal. It was a strange bit of magic, to be sure, but magic he was accustomed to. The instructions provided were simple to follow as well, and he slid the device into his pack as he cautiously left the Bay, pulling from it instead, a small, onyx figurine of a panther. He placed it on the ground, and whispered to it.]
Gwenwhyvar, come to be my friend.
[Shadows whirled and materialized from the statuette, and in its place stood a 600 pound panther. Her gleaming yellow eyes were attentive and all her muscled tense at the alien surroundings. The drow placed a comforting hand on her head.]
Peace, my friend. I know not this new world, either, but I sense no dangers. Come. We will explore this place together.
[And off the drow and panther padded into the strange city they found themselves in.]

[When a voice is first capture, heavily accented with emphasis on strange syllables, the voice seems to be addressing himself, or something else rather than the communicator.]
Ah! I believe I've got it. Now, then. I believe it's time we meet our neighbors.
[And a victorious smile can be heard in the voice.]
Greetings...Genessia. [He hopes that is a proper greeting for the others it's been heavily suggested reside here.] I am Drizzt Do'Urden. I mean you no harm. I only wish to learn about this new place, and those with whom I am now residing.

It's...nothing I can put my finger on. Sometimes the world moves quickly here and it's hard to keep up or contain. Then at other times you've got hell breaking loose or political flimflam to wade through, which can be very exhausting. For now things are quiet, and people have time to talk.

You've said it. That's exactly what this place is. "Many places". A hand-me-down, patchwork quilt of a world. Some tire of it so quickly they...but I digress. Anyway, it's good that that's one less person to worry about. I'm sure you'll do fine if you can intuit so much so soon.
