[Loki's departure hurts. But Anubis looks up to the Norse god, and he wants to try and be better, just like Loki did while he was here. Which is why he's in his god form and making the effort to speak to people now, rather than just text. They might notice something different about his speech, but they'll still be able to understand him.]

Many of the worst acts of violence have been committed from a fear of the unknown. Just like death for many people, there are humans who only see the worst in what they don't understand. But then they decide to do terrible things. It's scary...seeing that.

But humans are capable of beauty and wonderful things too. A few people taught me that, which is why I will help protect everyone from the Hands of Decay. Death isn't meant to be feared, but torture and murder only brings pain to everyone. My name is Anubis Ma'at, and Yui gave me my surname! I can offer mummy dolls which will protect the person. I made a lot before so there are plenty. I will also do whatever else I can to make sure no one is hurt, and I am here for anyone who has died here or before and doesn't know how to deal with it.

[He frowns and clasps his hands to his chest, insecure with talking to a lot of people before adding:]

Ted's always up to free stuff. So long as it's not evil occult paraphernalia, anyway. He's a little sad that it's the HoD he's talking about and not Everglade, who really could use the "no-fear" message right about now.

"A noble effort...can you tell me more about those dolls?"

[He would gladly help if Ted were to ask him. He's focused on the Hands of Decay because it was important to Loki.]

They form a protective barrier around the owner. Since I made them, they are connected to me. I can sense strong fear and I will help protect the person if that happens. But they are alive...so they need to be fed and taken care of.

Ted had a look of discomfort as he considered the thing. Alive? Yet made? A strange power, and rarely a good one. Everglade didn't exactly handle that sort of thing responsibly, however prone it was to strong fear.

All in all he'd rather have Anubis come down there himself, but he didn't have anything in mind just yet. That and, well, Everglade was frankly going to need some people killed, so thoroughly that necromancy would be powerless to revive them. Ted doubted that someone so gentle would be up to the task. He forced a cheerier disposition.

"Ooh, that sounds high maintenance. Do you do personal visits to other parts of the world? Not to rob Fayren of its protectors, mind."
