Waking
[Watery blue eyes peek beneath thick dark lashes as Crystal rouses within the strange pod. She isn’t familiar with hangovers however there have been rare occasions where she’s been drugged. She remembers bidding her neighbor goodnight and leaving for the evening when she unexpectedly arrived here. Her dress is untarnished. Her shoes, jewelry and shawl are the same as when she left the house. It’s odd that nothing is stolen or misplaced and that her captors have yet to introduce themselves.
She slowly rises into a sitting position, her heels dipping into the water while long slender legs stretch from their static position. She lifts her purse to her lap as well as the odd little box that is resting in the pod with her. First she opens her purse. The golden clasp clicks, echoing within the cave as she fetches a small pocket mirror. She inspects her face, her make-up untouched and her bright blond hair curled just as she remembered. There are no marks on her skin, nothing implying a force or harsh treatment.
Slipping her pocket mirror into her purse she begins to look through the peculiar chest that she found next to her. She quickly realizes that it is meant for her which isn’t a comforting thought. She decides she dislikes the provided necklace and slips it into her purse with no intention of ever wearing it. She reads through each piece of information carefully, her brow creasing as the situation grows more complicated.]
Action; Any City – Early Morning
[It’s evident that she isn’t in New York anymore and so she quickly moves passed that glaring fact and inspects the information she does know.
Crystal isn’t ready to rule out any possibilities; she wants to learn more about her new gilded prison. With the items she’s deemed important stashed in her purse she steps across the turning water and out of the bay. The hologram makes her pause, a thin eyebrow rising at its explanation before she continues onward.
A light smile plays across her lips as confidence radiates from her countenance, like a perfect mask her expression mixes both truths and lies. It won’t be hard to pin her as someone new though she isn’t acting like a gawking tourist or lost soul. When she steps it’s as if she knows exactly where she’s going. She doesn’t care about those who gawk at her height, beauty or very short dress.
She steps into a few curious shops, her gaze examining their wares even if she isn’t interested in purchasing them.]
Excuse me. [Crystal asks in a friendly tone.] Is this your establishment?
Action; Nova City – Early Evening
[After exploring each city Crystal finds that she enjoys Nova City the most. There are classier establishments, cleaner streets and while some of the futurist technology is beyond her knowledge it isn’t beyond her understanding. She can be found eyeing apartments as well as the general area with the same air of someone who moves with assurance.
She decides to look for bars or clubs that might prove to be interesting. It’s only the start of the night and she doubts that any establishment has yet to truly open. It will, however, give her an understanding of this place which is her intent as she moves through the cities.
If she catches your eye she’ll smile, her expression confident and inviting.]
Action; Everglade – Early Night
[Everglade is the last stop on her trip and she quickly finds that she doesn’t care for the mist covered city. There is nothing pertaining to the curfew in the provided information, leaving Crystal unaware as she steps into the city proper. Night is when Crystal is accustomed to working. She’s always been comfortable beneath the lingering light of the moon, even walking down desolate streets like these.
It doesn’t take her long to sense that something is wrong, the sun wanes and a gloomy atmosphere grips the town. She turns to leave however the sweet scent of lilacs drifting from her skin calls forth a hungry predator who quickly blocks her escape. Her mask remains in place, her lips positioned in a careful smile while her gaze locks onto the approaching figure. She moves briskly however the shadow is much faster than her, catching her by the wrist and throwing her against a nearby wall.
Her eyes level a glare at the stranger: his skin is a sickly pale, his eyes sunken in with black irises staring hungrily at her, his clothes hang on his bony form, tattered and torn from wear.]
That isn’t anyway to say hello.
[Crystal replies in an even voice, her wrist already working its way out of the dead mans grip.]
Voice; April 19th
[A melodious voice echoes over the network.]
It looks like I should have asked for assistance earlier, in the end I see little point of the provided information with so much lacking. [The light and silky voice sounds like it’s smiling.]
Now that I’ve learned my way around I wanted to say hello. Perhaps get to know my fellow martyrs.

action; Nova City
24 hour nightclub, because I haven't found any other club that holds my interest for more than a couple hours. Hard to believe I couldn't find a single one worth the time in this whole city, but hey, might as well open one myself in that case.
action; Nova City
And what is your nightclub going to be like? If it's interesting I might stop by.
action; Nova City
I could always offer you a sneak peek at what the interior looks like. See if it's worth your interest later.
action; Nova City
I’d love a tour.
[Her heels click against the street as she takes a step towards the entrance of the building, waiting for him to lead the way.]
Do you have a name? Or should I make one up for you?
[Crystal’s tone is light and teasing.]
action; Nova City
Ah, yeah, introductions probably would be ideal. With the mask, it's Orlok.
[He then takes ahold of the edge of the mask and pulled it off.]
Without it, Gale Reinhardt. Always a pleasure to meet a beautiful woman.
[He gives her a wink, then opens the door for her, leading into the currently dimly lit club.]
After you.
action; Nova City
You can call me Crystal. [She follows him inside. As she passes him her voice lowers as if to whisper in his ear.] I don't have any other names though you're welcome to call me what you like.
[Awe fills her eyes as she steps inside. Crystal, as her name might suggest, has a weakness for jewels. She loves the prismatic effect. Just looking at it makes her eyes glitter like sapphires.]
I'll admit that I am impressed.
[She looks back at Gale.]
When do you open?
action; Nova City
He steps beside her, leaning forward to look at her with a smug look. He's pretty proud of how the place turned out. He definitely took inspiration from the nightclub from back in his own world for the crystalline look (of course, Prism had walls of natural crystal and this place didn't) so with Ivina's aid in also helping give this place a taste of her own world too felt like one hell of an accomplishment.]
Glad to hear it. This place looks a damn sight better now than it did before my partner and I took over.
[Technically, Ivina was still his boss on other matters, but in the club's case, totally partners.]
We're aimin' for the next day or two. We're just about done with the setup.
[As of its current status, it almost looked like all the place needed was to have the bar stocked. There were a few touch ups that did need done in the back first though.]
action; Nova City
You're partner?
[An eyebrow rose in a curious arc as she watches Gale.]
You and your partner aren't by chance looking for staff?
[She has only just arrived and needs a job. Her previous profession is that of an escort and she's almost positive she can find something similar here. More so under the protective eye of such a cute boss.]
action; Nova City
As a matter of fact, we are. [He pauses a moment to remind himself of everything they need to look for. As good as he is, he can't handle everything on his own.]
We'll be looking for dancers, and general performers, as well as the usual bouncer and bartender. We've also got a VIP room in the back that we'll need a couple of hosts for.
[He tilts his head to the side while looking at her with intrigue.]
Any of them suit your fancy?
action; Nova City
I only do private dances. [Her voice is as sweet as honey while her lips curl into a sultry smile.] My job before this was an escort. I think a hostess position will suit me well.
[She likes her job, outside of the illegal side of it, she'd gotten paid to attend parties and be personable which is a skill she's always naturally possessed. Not having to sell other attributes would be an interesting change.]
I only need to know the dress code.
[Crystal is used to wearing what she's instructed to: long beautiful dresses or those like the white fabric twisting around her torso now which leave her long silky legs on display.]
action; Nova City
[He probably would reserve the right to be able to join in if that kind of thing happened in the club, but he'd like to make sure he and the club have a better reputation than Iron Faeries did.]
Whatever's comfortable for you, can be formal if you want. Outside of an identifier for staff, I don't think we're gonna enforce any kind of dress code, given that I wear this.
[He tugs at the collar of his flight suit. People can be as overdressed or underdressed as much as they want, really.]
action; Nova City
My work involved attending charities and balls as a companion. [It's very legal.] Anything else would have come after work. [Her smile widens slightly.] You can be assured that I will do nothing to tarnish the name of your club.
[She finds his frank statement entertaining and she isn't at all bothered by it. She likes this club, at least the set up which is a nice start to a new world. She's had to start her life over so many times that doing it again here doesn't seem all that troublesome.]
Things like this. [Her fingers lightly trail from her shoulder, down the curve of her side, to rest on her hip.] Are my usual work attire.
action; Nova City
[He understands how risky that kind of thing would be, so now that he knows her previous profession, he already figures she's got her wits about her.
If her motions were an invitation for him to check out each of those curves again, he sure as hell took it. The mask wasn't on to hide those wandering eyes this time.]
So long as you don't mind a butterfly pin to wear on it to show that you're staff, that attire's more than acceptable.
action; Nova City
I adore butterflies.
[She takes a small step forward and lowers her voice as she continues.]
Is there any more to the tour?
[She's interested in back rooms and the layout of the building though she'll leave where they go up to Gale.]
action; Nova City
This'll be the VIP area, so you'll be seein' a lot of this room. It'll be a lot quieter in here than out there. Ya might see some gambling or general leisurely dealings back here. Don't be afraid to tell me if any of 'em back here gives you any trouble though. One of the perks of the job is havin' me lookin' out for you.
[Because he'll kick anyone's ass if they give any of his employees trouble. Really, he'll kick the ass of anyone causing any kind of trouble, but it especially goes for employees.]
Fun fact, that very back wall used to lead to an underground tunnel. This place was a wee bit shady 'till we took over.
action; Nova City
My hero. [She replies back at him with a smile.
Crystal prefers to work in a place where she's protected and in truth, this set up seems almost to good to be true. For now she'll tread lightly but she hopes that this man(cyborg) and this bar are exactly as they seem. She dislikes having no control over her life and since waking up here that's exactly how she's felt. Where she lives, where she works and who she is are things she can control.]
At least we have our escape.
[She glances over at the wall and then back at Gale with a smile.]
action; Nova City
[He returns her reply with another wink. If there's one thing he has every intention of doing, it's making sure the clubs employees are comfortable in the environment. In this part of town, who knows what the cat might drag in, and he'll be ready to deal with them however he needs to. Physical violence included.
He chuckles then.]
Yeah, no kiddin'. 'least we have a place to hide if we ever need to. But this is an honest business, so hopefully if we see the Guardian or her two deputies, it'll just be for leisure and not business.
action; Nova City
[Crystal walks around the room, her thin fingers lightly moving along the furniture.]
Would you tell me more about them? Should I expect them?
[She laughs softly wondering how uptight those in office are.]
action; Nova City
[He shrugs a bit, leaning up against the door to keep it open and folding his arms.]
I dunno if we'll end up expecting any of them, but I wouldn't mind if Troy stopped by. He should see how this place looks after we kinda, trashed the first joint.
action; Nova City
What did you do to it?
action; Nova City
We took up a bounty to take out this team of android girls that were causin' havoc in the city. I was already in the previous club when one of those robo-girls showed up.
So while me and the guy's girlfriend kept the android occupied, Troy literally dropped part of the roof on her head. It was somethin', that's for sure.
[He also knows fully well that Aqua wasn't Troy's girlfriend, but he still enjoyed calling her that.]
action; Nova City
That sounds very exciting. Let’s hope it doesn’t happen again.
[She looks around the room once more before deciding that she’s seen enough. Her crystal blue eyes lock on Gale, her smile remaining in place.]
Is this the end of the tour?
[She doesn’t know how big this building really is.]
action; Nova City
[People are suppose to raise the roof in a club, not bring it down.]
Ah, should probably show you what'll be the employee lounge. You'll be needin' a break once in a while, surely.
[And there was another room in the place, but for now he'll want to keep its location secret to only him and Ivina.]
action; Nova City
[Crystal waves a hand allowing for Gale to lead the way. She's no doubt that there is more to this club than meets the eye. In truth, she doesn't mind. Secrets were the sort of thing she was used too and respected.
She isn't expecting much from the employee lounge, these sorts of places were mostly meant for the patrons, not to the employees.]
action; Nova City
Remember that. That's your way in here.
[While smaller than the other rooms, it still seemed pretty nice for a break room. A couple comfy couches and seats were by small tables like the ones in the main club area itself. There was even a rather nice water cooler with nearby glasses in the place. He wasn't shallow enough that he was gonna charge employees for water.]
The walls block out the outside sound too, so even if you just need to step in for a breather away from all the noise, we got ya covered.
[Gale did want to make sure employees were comfortable in the place. He'd be the first to complain if something wasn't comfortable if he were just an employee and not one of the owners.]
