1st Campaign | Action | Backdated 3/4
It has been a long day for Satsuki; after having awoken in the Bay and obtained information she wasn't entirely certain she could trust, she proceeded to wander and found herself in Nova City, rather than try to seek out this 'Harry Dresden'. Thankfully it wasn't much longer after that she regained contact with the two she had planned to meet not long from now: Uzu Sanageyama and Ira Gamagori.
With some business within Nova City wrapped up, the Student Council President now stands at the Archway outside of it; stance straight and disciplined with her hands atop the handle of her sheathed sword.
Honestly, her mind is still reeling from the shock of the situation she's found herself in; and try as she might to make heads or tails of it, Satsuki only finds herself increasingly troubled. For now she just hopes that by nigh'ts end, she will have enough information to gain some semblance of direction she should go from here.
(OOC: Action or Prose is fine from this point on!)

[He quickly approached, going down on one knee as was usual for him once close enough.]
Satsuki-sama, I hope I didn't keep you waiting too long.
no subject
[About as greeting as it gets, she shakes her head. Now that she has a better look, she sees he has his uniform in it's entirety so that's a decent start.]
Not at all; I've had much to think about. How goes your progress?
no subject
[If he can't pay for 'em, he'll just whip anyone trying to evict Satsuki.]
There is one thing I feel you should know about Nova City, however. The robots you see patrolling are the creations of the city's "guardian." He goes by the name of Wily, and has come into power relatively recently. His rise has been subject to some criticism as his opponent seemed to have the more support and some are claiming he got his seat through illicit means.
That said, I highly doubt any of these machines will trouble you, and if they did, I doubt further their ability in comparison to yours.
no subject
I see. Try not to get too overzealous? The point is to not draw unwanted attention to myself.
[Just for now, of course. She recognizes the name 'Wily', of course, but keeps a more neutral expression as she ponders on it.]
.. Controversy? Perhaps that can play into my favor, I'll keep in contact with him. There is no denying his mechanical brilliance.
[A.k.a., there is a chance he'll be of use to her.]
You seemed restless earlier; what is your opinion of the general mood of this city?
no subject
[He nods. Of course, his idea of "subtle" is throwing people through just windows, and not entire buildings.]
Yes, it is matched only by his own ego.
[He takes a moment to consider.]
It's... odd, really. There are those from worlds where creatures threaten to end humanity at any given moment in time, others come from worlds of relative peace. The only seeming unifying thread amongst them is a sort of lack of direction. Considering that each of the sub-cities are ruled by individual 'guardians' only seems to further this lack of direction.
no subject
Ira's further comments make her frown. But the silver lining is that this may leave her more time to explore and then create her own direction, then maybe even direction for others.]
That is curious indeed.. I wonder if this is some sort of social experiment. In any case it appears we have no choice but to play along for now.
[She then recalls the flier.]
Harry Dresdon; have you seen him?
no subject
[He shakes his head slightly.]
Not personally, no. I do have some connections with those that frequently work with him though. From what I can gather, he holds some sort of mystic power - or claims to at least - yet does nothing with it.
no subject
[Satsuki's frown deepens, but she then considers another option.]
The libraries. And museums.. They may also hold clues. That aside, what are the names of the subordinates?
no subject
[He thinks for a moment, trying to remember the names that Ruby told him.]
Ruby Rose is the leader of one of the two teams they operate in, along with her sister Yang Xiao Long, and teammates Weiss Schnee and Blake Beladonna, I think were the names. The only one I have direct experience with is Rose, and if she is to be believed, each of the people from their world wield powers on par with even 3-Star uniforms.
no subject
Really. Was there any mention of how they accomplish this? Do they use some sort of technology? Or perhaps they are not human..
Either way, it's clear I will need to arrange a meeting with them.
no subject
They seem human enough, but there has been a word that has been used to describe a handful of them. "Faunus" I believe was the term. Apparently, some have animal features; a cat's eyes and ears, or a monkey's tail.
It would be interesting to see how they would fare in battle to be sure.
no subject
That shall be added to the agenda then.
Do you mention them because you suspect their methods may have the potential to play a part in our mission?
[She shakes her head.]
I suppose that is possible.. Though I would like to know how this world is connected to our own as well.
no subject
If what they claim is accurate, then yes, I believe so. At the very least, they could potentially be formidable enough to train against.
I do not know anything about how this world is connected to our own, I'm sorry. I have conducted what research I could, but I fear my capacities in that regard are nowhere near Inumuta's level.

Doesn't really make you think of Honnouji, does it?
[In place of kneeling, he pockets his hands.]
Glad you could make it, Lady Satsuki.
no subject
It most certainly does not, though I really don't know what to make of it. Hopefully that will become clear sooner, rather than later.
[An amused huff follows.]
And what trouble have you stirred up while I've been 'away'?
no subject
The most they can do is dissect the place.]
Trouble? I've been helping Gamagoori settle in, he's been all torn up for a while now.
[If he thought it were appropriate, he'd offer a hand to guide her toward the city...which is awfully ironic, considering his eyesight (or lack thereof).]
You found us pretty quick, just what I'd expect.
no subject
I'm rather pleased; even without my presence you've both managed to keep it together.
[In fact, a reward may be in order. But she'll keep that thought to herself for now.]
Not that I expected any less from my Elite but.. It is encouraging to see all the same.
[It was a mere coincidence that she had managed to find them, though. She had thought she was by herself until she had seen that broadcast.]
You know this area better than I; was there any place in particular you wanted to bring to my attention?
no subject
Of course.
[It's not like they've wrecked the place either, so there's that. As for her question...he actually hadn't been planning ahead. He was content enough to be in her presence, further plans never actually occurred in his mind. He takes a moment, glancing back toward the city (as if he could actually see anything) before facing her once more.
...Proposing anything casual seems odd, especially since things were all work and no play back at Honnouji Academy. He clears his throat.]
Aaah, that depends. How do you feel, Lady Satsuki?
[Hungry, thirsty? That kinda thing!]
no subject
It feels like it's been some time since I've had a cup of tea.
Also, something has been bothering me.. What is the last thing you recall doing from our world?
no subject
He knows of where they could grab some tea, but the quality is a mystery to him. He hasn't indulged in it, but he doubts anything would compare to her personal suppliers.]
We were just leaving for the battlefield trip, Gamagoori remembers even less than that.
no subject
[Satsuki could tell from his hesitant movements what he may be going for; but for one reason or another..
She grips the sheath of her sword, then presses the handle of the weapon against his arm, suggesting to put it back in place- or it could be to prod him into motion.]
Lead the way.
no subject
And he begins doing just that, leading her along the road, towards the more developed area of the city.]
The only time we talked, she was only interested in calling you out. Haven't seen her in person, either.
[A technical blunder, but he's not willing to admit how disorienting it was to not only wake up here, but be forced to go along with things.]
Haven't your ears been ringing?
no subject
I see.
[As for ringing ears.. There is that. There's also the nausea, blurring vision and headache. And yet her steps are fluid and smooth.]
I hope you aren't about to tell me the effects are permanent.
no subject
If you want to, we can do this another time, you know.
[Rather, replace 'want to' with 'need to'. The effects are a pain in the ass, even if they aren't everlasting.]
no subject
Offering tea, then denying me that leisure? Are you certain that's wise, Uzu?
[While her tone is somewhat flat, it's perhaps the delivery that suggests she's somewhat joking.]
The lack of any is far more disruptive for me.
