WAKING UP / THE BAY ( video )
— but I guess it has its charm. ( once the video clicks on, it's obvious the girl was in mid-sentence. in fact, she doesn't even seem to be aware that it's activated or recording her. ) Maybe more suited to Meebo than yours truly, but... it'll have to do, for now.

Now all I need is to find a way out of this place... ( a sigh... even though she seems less than impressed, her tone is monotonous as ever, giving very little indication on her real feelings about being here. ) And find the others too, I guess. ( and with that, she's ready to tuck the amulet away... )

EVERGLADE ( action )
( all right, well, this was new. a misty little town with an eerie touch. as she walked over the worn bridge she couldn't help but be reminded of the time she had come into sorey's service, twirling her open umbrella on her shoulder as she walked... )

So what's this? The unfortunate side of town? ( the buildings on this side looked more run down at least, but there was something... welcoming she found in the climbing ivy that moved to reclaim the buildings humans had built. she didn't particularly mind the somewhat dreary atmosphere either. )

I guess you can't argue that it doesn't have character.

FAYREN ( action )
( edna had been working to make her way through this new world she'd found herself in, since it seemed that for better or worse, she wasn't going anywhere any time soon. it didn't really sit right with her that the humans here could all see her — a product of it being another world entirely? something offsetting the 'spiritual' balance? — for some reason, she found herself wondering what sorey would have to say about it. but, well, he wasn't here so there wasn't much point in dwelling on that. )

Hey, you. ( might as well get a better feel for the place. take advantage of the fact that people all see and hear her... even if she wasn't that fond of the idea. ) How long have you been here?

[Alvin was in Fayren to do some research on potential business ideas. It wasn't his favorite place, a little too close to Rieze Maxia than home, but he needed to take all cities into account if he was to truly be successful at earning more than Weiss. Hands in pockets, he turned around to see who it was he had been intent on ignoring. Just some tiny girl with a dainty parasol. It wasn't the actual residents who went around asking questions like that, so she was probably a newcomer.]

Long enough to know about this place.

( well would you get a load of this guy. staring at him for about a minute longer, she twirled the handle of her umbrella, her expression unchanging. ) Yeah, a long time looks about right.

So this is Fayren, huh? What do people just settle where ever they want to? Must be nice not to have any responsibilities.

Hold on a second... [He pulls out a pen and paper.] I normally charge for information. My time's not free, I have to pay my bills and rent just like everyone else here. [He finishes it off with what he hopes is a charming smile.]

You can live wherever you want. Just...not for free. Unless you find someone who will let you live with them.

( well alvin, lucky for you... edna took a quick sweep of the area, spotting something over along the edge of the path. without a word she went over, crouched down, and picked something up.

looking at it in her hand, she walked over, offering him a copper piece with just a hint of a grin — ) This should be enough.

( it's about how much your time looked like it was worth. )

[ludger had been running some errands over in fayren, which of course required him to head all over the place. he looked down at a list in his hand as he walked, not really paying attention to where he was going, at least until he heard a girl's voice.

he stopped in his tracks in order to look around at the source of the voice, now seeing who had called out to him. he headed over to her, stuffing the list into his pocket before he reached her.]

Me? Uhmm.... [he silently counted on his fingers.] Maybe three months?

Guess it's easy for some people to settle into a life like this.

[he makes sure to emphasize that, since he knows a lot of people can't settle in. he can, because... well- it's better to get accustomed to this place than to think about his own end.]

It's not easy for a lot of people, but it makes it easier if you try and distract yourself.

( she looks him over a little more closely, bringing her parasol to a stop. ) Sure, distracting yourself probably doesn't sound like a bad idea, if that sort of thing works on you.

( she's saying it with such a straight face... is she serious? trying to get a jab in? )

( and with that, she starts walking. just slightly past ludger, twirling her parasol nonchalantly... before stopping, and turning to look over her shoulder back at him. )

Well? Are you coming?

[wha-? he's just supposed to follow? well... okay. ludger looks a bit surprised but then he does listen to her instructions, following behind her quietly.]

Where are we going?

[Uwa...a cute girl! There are a lot here. Sena's first theory about a pervert being behind the kidnappings hasn't really gone away. Look at the women in this place.]

Others? It's not the same place anymore, you know. If they didn't get kidnapped before you, they're not here. It's...all strangers.

[Which she hates.]

Kidnapped? That sounds a little far-fetched, you know. ( not to mention she's totally offended by the idea that someone might've gotten the drop on her... )

How else do you think you got here? If you didn't get kidnapped, you would still be at home instead of some weird city. It makes the most sense.

Guess it some sort of communication device, huh? ( she's as straight-faced as ever, making it hard to figure out how she really feels. ) Clever.

Even if I don't remember anybody forcing me to go to sleep, you can't wake up if you don't go to sleep, you know. It happened so you should definitely be careful.

Huh? It's just like my phone at home, but it looks different. Mine flips open, and it's a cute yellow color.

I just got here. There's no way anybody would get back home that fast, but I'll still do. [No one is working together to make it home, which is what annoys her so much. Everybody is just living.]

[Lilith was calmly walking around, she had a mission to do and had yet to finish here. But she knew sooner or later she would need to attempt to do this with other cities, building them up before cause outright panic.

She was wondering if perhaps Fayren would be the next next target. She had moved to sit on the roof, slightly hidden by shadows when she heard someone talk. Glancing over, red eyes peered back.]

It has a lot of character at night. It's interesting to watch.

Oh yeah? ( there's little indication on edna's feeling on the matter. she could give 'stone-faced' a whole new meaning from the looks of it. ) Is that when the really spooky things come out?

[The last one was a little humour on her part but she shakes her head slightly.]

If your human, yes because it's illegal for humans to be out here at night, but if you aren't you'll be perfectly fine.

Of course I'm not human. ( she looks downright offended, in fact. reaching out to squeeze the little stuffed-animal looking captive tied to her umbrella. ) I'm nothing like those stupid earth-dwellers.

Then you should do fine here, they might even leave you alone if you prove yourself.

[She could see the offense, she knew she could get offended to on certain subjects at least.]

Humans just love trying to prove themselves. Slay a werewolf, a vampire even a dragon. Hmph.

If they deserve to be killed, I don't see the problem. If they don't then that just shows what a human is capable of.

Deserve to be killed, huh? You mean like if they started to run rampant or something? Who's to say that the humans shouldn't just stay out of their way, instead?

Either way someone dies, so I don't care.
