[ After realizing he didn't accidentally run into another world and slam into the top of a box right out of the breach he accidentally created and knock himself unconscious on the roof of said box, Barry Allen felt a little more comfortable talking to the masses. And before you get up in arms about that assumed explanation, there's no rule that says you have to end up facing the right way when you arrive in another world because you ran too fast with a tachyon converter and he was running up a building so the facing-up thing was already-- look, it would've made sense if there weren't a couple hundred other displaced people here. The likelihood of an Earth 3? 4? He's going with 4. 1 his, 2 Harry and Zoom's, 3 Supergirl's, 4 this one. The likelihood of an Earth 4 having a Barry-doppelganger seemed unlikely.

But more important than that, Barry's been keeping himself quiet for a couple of days- except for the red streak being seen around town whenever people suddenly finding themselves out of burning buildings and on the street corner a safe distance away in the blink of an eye, cats out of trees and in little girls arms, bank robbers suddenly finding all of their weapons on the ground at the feet of the local PD. He's been being careful, save for that one time he tried to run straight through the barrier and knocked himself out for a couple of hours.

This also means he's really hungry and borderline hypoglycemic since he only had one of Cisco's protein bars on him and it's been a couple days. (It's hard to carry around much in a superhero suit, alright?) ]

Hey- so, where's the best place to eat a lot of food for really cheap? And a job. I'm good in forensics, physics, chemistry.. I'm an okay sketch artist. I'm a forensic scientist for the Central City PD back home so I'd like something like that, but I'm flexible. [ Mostly because he needs money for food and shelter whether there's a forensics position open or not. ]

Oh- [ And a smile. The charming smile will totally make up for the fact that the actual name-sharing of his introduction came late, right? ] I'm Barry Allen.

[ when she arrived, she did her best to take it in - everything about this world had been off, weird, unsettling. not because it'd been bad, but because the last thing she remembers is seeing barry, seeing zoom and she must have fallen through some kind of breach but this doesn't really feel like something the harrison wells she knew would be a part of.

iris had spent most of the day just trying to get a better idea of where she was and why she was there, what was even going on. figuring her way onto the network had come later, and then it had been a matter of working through the messages, the videos. it's still terrifying, in a lot of ways, but when she comes across a video tagged 'barry allen' she has to...well. she has to.

and then there he is - looking a little tired, sure, but. standing. okay. alive. awake. ]

But if they did, then this was going to be an issue. So instead of telling her he'd be right there if she told him where she was, his eyebrows raised up. The way they did when he thought he'd been cornered for a brief moment, the way they did when his mind was coming up with an excuse. ]

[ she recognizes the look, sure, but she doesn't call him out on it. considering everything that's happened recently, she can't really blame him for hesitating. for all she knows, he might not even be her barry - she went through a breach, didn't she? so was this earth two?

one way to find out. ] Well, for one- the last time I saw you you were kind of in a coma. [ she still sounds stressed, worried, like despite the fact she's staring at a standing, walking, okay barry allen right now - he's still in danger.

iris really has no idea how she's supposed to be dealing with this earth two business, so instead she just sort of waits. waits for him to offer up any kind of information, to tell her she's being crazy. because all of this definitely feels crazy.

but then her heart sinks, her expression with it. ] Again.

[ Barry leaves it open ended. If he was in a coma, it's more than reasonable to assume that he had no idea how he got that way. Maybe he got brain damage if it was some kind of non-Zoom-related coma. ]

Ligh.. Zz...? [ He's just starting out words to see which one she seems to take. If any. Soon as she pops up with an answer he'll repeat it like that's totally what he was planning on saying. Being smooth was his other superpower. ]

Forensics is the application of science to criminal law. I'm a CSI, specifically, so the police call me out to crime scenes to collect evidence. I bring it back to the lab and test it to connect the evidence to criminals, weapons, locations, whatever answer it leads me to so I can help the police find their guy. Or gal.
