[Fai's hair had started to grow at least and he had only started to grow it because Zelos said he wanted it. But when he had gone to see him on his way to work, only to find that he was no long there was enough to cause the blonde to simply keep his head low for the day and just try his hardest to get on with it. Even worse Sakura had gone on a canon update and he had little to no clue when she was going to be back.
So not knowing how to handle pretty much anything right now, he was pretty much working as guardian. Doing his routes, checking barriers, and dealing with people in general. There was only so much he could do before he found himself sitting in the office, leaning back in his chair as he put his hair up into a pony tail. He was starting to wonder if perhaps he could cut it now he has no reason to grow it.
Leaning back into his seat he decides to switch the phone on. When he spoke it was obvious he wasn't happy.]
Just thought I should say that Zelos appears to have left and Sakura-chan has been at the Dream Docks for a while. [He paused, letting it really sink n for a moment.] So it makes me wonder how do people handle losing someone so close to them? In my nearly two years of being here I've not really had it happen. [Mokona was close, yes but in a very different way.]
But I am going to focus on my work and planning on working with others who are willing to help in terms of barriers and night watch. Night watch is basically a case of making sure nothing too bad happens at night. Scaring people is fine, trying to murder them is not. So I guess I should add anyone who isn't human and who is interested should let me know.
[He paused once more, thinking of the right words to say.]
That is all.

[Another text follows shortly after.]
P.S. It doesn’t get easier.

Also, I figured as much. No matter how many times one loses a loved one it just gets harder.
Private; Text
I never said it got harder. Just that it doesn't get easier.

For me it gets harder, but that is just me.

[Says the guy who needs a job.]
I guess it depends how much you lose and what you loss. You can't miss something if you don't know what it is.
[He's not at all comforting.]

I've... honestly lost a lot in my life in general, so this lose fels about on per with those.

[Toby pays for nothing.]
Who did you lose?

You mean here?

If you don't mind my asking, why can't humans help?

Unless you are a extremely good fighter and can handle at least five to six attacks on you at night, because of a law in Everglade then it's usually best to stay indoors.

I am a pretty decent fighter, actually. What kind of law has people attacking each other at night?

[The one time he actually wished he was a vampire again.]

If a person is non-human, they're safe, though? [Blake still looks pissed but she also looks pensive. She's not human. She's good at faking being human, but she's not human.]

[He nodded slightly.]
They are, yes. But if they look human one would of course probably need to prove it.

But because of it, I have worked on protecting people so they won't get attacked in there homes, but that is about as much as I can do.

[This is about the most serious she has sounded.]

[He did have his own thoughts on the matter. Leaning back in his seat he paused if only for a moment.]
Honestly, not a fan. It's obvious it was put in place to benefit the creatures of the night and isolating humans who still make up a good portion of the city. It also makes my job hard because I get attacked because of it. Although I do fight back and don't just let them attack me.

I think something has to be done about it. Even if you don't have the authority to set these laws, perhaps you can talk to this mayor person?

[He paused for a moment.]
Or when I did get something it was more telling me to leave the office alone that he didn't want the Guardian to take over again. Funny enough I went there to talk about laws that were to do with what I was elected for.
