03RD AFFAIR | ACCIDENTAL VIDEO/ACTION
Accidental Video: Painting
think of me fondly
[The screen flickers and focuses on the back of Crystal’s shoulder. She’s wearing a tight white tank top that’s smudged with different colored paints. There is a brush positioned delicately between her fingers as she adds the splash of light pink within her canvas. When she leans forward a small mark tattooed into her lower back is visible but it quickly vanishes from the screen when she reaches for more paint.
A sweet tune is sung from her lips which a few people might recognize from The Phantom of the Opera. Her voice is like honey, singing each note with a sweet inflection as she works. Her voice is trained, holding each note perfectly before flowing effortlessly into the next measure of the song.]
to take your heart back
and be free
Action: Café
[She’s in a sour disposition after her phone had accidentally turned on and broadcasted her singing across the network. Crystal feels exposed and it isn’t a feeling she enjoys. She finds a small café in Nova City, a place where no one would know her, to think.
She sips at her coffee and listens to the ambient sound of people bustling along. It calms her down though she continues to feel uneasiness knot in her stomach. She takes pride in keeping her emotions tied to a very taught leash and now she’s forced to reevaluate that. Thought flitters in and out of her head as she sips the steaming latte.
Crystal isn’t paying a lot of attention to those who walk buy. Her clear baby blue eyes are unfocused and aloof.]
Closed Action: Trip
[Crystal waits at the Nova City archway wearing a purple dress and heels. She has a bag tucked artfully in the crook of her arm and a pair of sunglasses pushed over her eyes. She looks very relaxed and composed for someone who’s standing around waiting.
There is no telling where her eyes land though when her company arrives a smirk begins to tug at the corner of her lips.]
Thank you for coming out to meet me.

That's right. I believe they were also known as 'root' revolvers for the engineer who designed them.
Do you design guns?
[It sounds like he at least knows a lot about them and while Crystal has no experiance using one she knows how they work and the impressive roll they've played throughout history.]
action; closed
[He looks pretty impressed by her knowledge too. And that impression switches to slightly self-conscious at her question.]
I...uh, yeah. I do.
action; closed
Are you good at it?
[She doesn't want to force it out of him but she's curious.]

[She smiles keeping their conversation easy.]
I bet they are works of art of themselves.
[Crystal looks over when she sees the shimmering gate of the sub-archway.]
There it is. Would you like to step through first?
action; closed
I wouldn't call them that. They get the job done.
[He looks up, welcoming the distraction of the gate.]
Ladies first, or do you want me to go with you?
action; closed
Paris.
[She's seen it so many times in pictures, in dreams and she can't fight the wonder from her eyes as she merely stands and stares at the sight.]
It's beautiful.
action; closed
So, I chose wisely, huh?
action; closed
It's like a dream come true.
[Her smile remains in place while her arm slips around his.]
Shall we?

Eiffel Tower? I think any trip to Paris should start and end there.
action; closed
Eiffel Tower it is.
action; closed
So did you know or was this just a convent place to pick?
[Crystal is mostly trying to see if he'd seen her accidental video and heard her singing.]
action; closed
[He shrugged.]
So, lucky guess.
action; closed
You're very lucky then.
[Crystal smiles before turning her gaze towards the tower. She leads him in a brisk though easy pace though as they approach the bottom she pauses and cranes her neck upward.]
It's far bigger than pictures.
action; closed
[It slipped before he had a chance to rein it in, and he doesn't know if she's going to react badly or not.]
action; closed
I've seen it Clay and I think that goes without saying.
[Her smile remains in place as she begins to lead him towards the elevator that will take them to the very top. They just have to pay to get on first.]
action; closed
Yes you have.
[He pays the man at the lift and lets Crystal walk forward first before joining her.]
action; closed
As they go up the glass walls of the elevator mark their assent. Bright blue eyes watch as the land shrinks beneath them.]
I should have asked if you were afraid of heights.
[She looks up at Clay with her usual easy smile.]
Though I get the feeling you aren't afraid of anything.
action; closed
I'm not afraid of much, you're right about that.
action; closed
When the elevator reaches its peak a soft chime echoes around them, mournfully Crystal pulls away from the heat of Clay’s chest. Her arm wraps around his while her hand lightly rests on his bicep. Her smile widens and once again her baby blue eyes light up.] It really is a beautiful city. [She guides them away from the crowd, towards the edge of the landing. There isn’t any glass between them and the wind which whips around them as if to pull them into the sky.]
I never thought I would see it.
[Her tone is a little wistful before a soft laugh leaves her lips. She turns to look up at Clay, her expression warm and inviting.]
What do you think of it?
action; closed
It's pretty spectacular, actually. I've never been, either.
action; closed
[She smiles at him before looking out over the city. A soft sigh falls from her lips as her hands move to the railing.]
There are so many wonderful things in this world and yet this sight is enough for me.
action; closed
He doesn't make a comment aside from a nod, a slight smile touching his lips. He'll let her stay there as long as she wants, just enjoying the view and the presence next to him.]
action; closed
She turns towards Clay, her fingers elegantly wrapping around his arm.]
We should get something to eat. Do you have any preferences.
