[As if Heavens Court Apartments weren’t luxurious enough. Ciel may have just recently moved in a few days ago with his self-proclaimed ‘best friend’, but the two had already made it their own. And by made it their own, they spent a good majority of their starting allowance on lavish decorations that were beyond their means. It was to make it more like home. Perfect justification.]
[Soma’s resting on a pillow that threatens to swallow him with its bright fabric while he plays with the holographic window and sighs dramatically.]
What do you think of this one?
[Meanwhile, Ciel is having a hard time adjusting to all of this high tech stuff. Coming from the 1880s, it was strange to see a lot of this stuff and even more strange to see the fashion sense here. So while Ciel was trying to get a proper grasp on things, Soma flipping through holographic window displays is just distracting and pretty annoying.]
I think it’s fine. Stop playing with that and try to find a job already. I’m not going to support you here. You’re old enough.
[Says a 13 year old aristocrat…]
[Either Soma doesn’t pick up on Ciel’s annoyance, or he doesn’t care. Either way, he pouts, glancing over his shoulder.]
You didn’t even look, did you? Don’t worry Ciel, I’ll find something to support both of us! [He grins brightly, but it’s almost forced. It’s one thing to go to a school without Agni, it’s another entirely to be in another world and trusted to look after Ciel. If he didn’t do it, who would? He quickly recovers and waves his hand flippantly.]
But all of these are too easy and they don’t pay enough for everything we need.
[That was true… They did have to go for lavish, because Ciel wasn’t going to live in dump and he hardly doubted Soma would either; Not that his opinion mattered to Ciel… Not when he basically forced his way into Ciel’s apartment. Who knew you’d go from a manor to a dinky apartment like this…?]
We’re just going to have to be more careful with our money then. Which means…. We can’t get anything else for a while until we can at least get what we need for food and other living expenses.
[No fancy trinkets for a while, Soma.]
I’ll be very careful! I already found an indoor pool we can have installed that’s less than the biggest one. Do you want to see it? I have the pictures right here. I’m going back tomorrow to purchase it, you should go with me! We can see if there’s any less dull food, we can look at all of the different interesting sights and tall buildings and…
[Ciel is just…. going to sigh… Really…. He just went over this… Bringing up his hand as if to say stop...]
We can’t get an indoor pool right now. Did you even listen to what I just said? Although we should really look for some food, but if you’re good enough, we can go sightseeing. [Ciel was interested in the area that they were going to be living in after all.
And then he glanced over to the side, studying something.]
Speaking of…. How long was that thing on for? [Finally noticing that they were broadcasting the entire thing.]
But I want one. [He stubbornly stares at Ciel until he realizes he won’t win this. He’ll drop the argument, for now, the prospect of less artificial tasting food making him hungry. The fact that Ciel might even consider doing something fun makes his mood shift entirely. No longer bored, he jumps up and bounds over to practically try and cling to Ciel.]
Ah?! You actually want to do something fun for once?! I already have some places in mind, you won’t regret this, Ciel! [He pauses.] ‘Thing’? You mean the videophone! [It takes him a moment to realize what Ciel meant, but he’s been excited by the new technology.] I was going to introduce myself to these people--[No he wasn’t, he was trying to play that one game and got bored] About ten minutes?
[Ciel regrets it already. Why does he even bother anymore…? Shoving the prince off of him.]
Get off of me! It’s a good idea to have an idea of what’s around us when we’re in a new world, that’s all.
[Soma…. Why…?]
Is that really necessary? [Looks like someone doesn’t care to introduce himself.]
Say hello, Ciel! [He shoves the videophone in Ciel’s face as if he wasn’t just shoved off of him. It probably isn’t a very flattering angle of his face...yet when he looks into it, it somehow is as he smirks with all the confidence of someone who has gotten everything they have wanted their entire life before he points it back at Ciel.] You might be able to get by with being grumpy back in England, but we’re in a new world. You should make some other friends to help you start out! Even if they won’t be as good as me.
Get that out of my face! [Trying to swat both Soma and the videocamera away now.] I have no use for something so trivial as “friends”.
[A bit harsh, but when has Ciel ever been anything but harsh and blunt?]
But they might understand this place better and help us get more stuff… And if they’re all from different worlds like we’ve heard, you don’t know what they might have to offer. Plus this place is too quiet right now… It’s sooooooo boring, so I want more friends and I’ll introduce them to you!
[He’ll just scuff lightly before breaking out of his grasp finally.]
Like I said, I’m not interested. [But his stomach is calling for food, so he’ll glance towards the kitchen. Without saying anything, he’ll go off to attempt to make something to eat. Let’s see how well that turns out.]
[OOC: Both Soma and Ciel will be responding to tags unless specified who you’d like to tag!]

You're almost winning. [Yep. Snide, unhelpful comment from him.]

We should hire someone to cook for us. Even if they won't be as good as...
no subject
Yeah.... I think that's something we can both agree on.... but we don't have the funds for that right now...
no subject
But we have plenty of money.

I doubt that, but I agree. I have no intentions on following the crowd of drones. I may have to start from the bottom again, but that just means it's another game to win.
no subject
If this is a game, I'm sure to beat you! Why don't we see who wins first?
no subject
Fine. A challenge is much more entertaining anyways. You'd better give it your all though, or else you'll fail.
[Well... Until his stomach growls again....]
Ugh... Maybe we should just go eat somewhere... I need some tea anyways...
no subject
Yes! Let's eat! [And he's already trying to drag him out the door.] I wonder if they have anything like chai tea. It won't be the same but I'd like something close.

Preferably something high quality...

[His mind goes a bit numb when he sees the sprawling expanse of Nova City. Everything is so big yet cramped, as if it's at odds with itself.]
