Um....

This may seem like it's coming out of the blue...ah, well,I'll just ask!

The guys in charge of the cities haven't ever had the tendency to be ruthless, bloody dictators have they?

I mean, that would be crazy! But you know....

[Totally normal question, here. Blame Icy.]

Not from what I've seen, but that doesn't mean ruthless, bloody dictators can't run or be nominated.

After all, we have murderers running now.

They don't care. Roman Torchwick is safe in Nova City, but he still murdered someone when he was here before. [Among other crimes.] Reiner Braun murdered one of our employees, Armin Arlert, a few months ago. They can still run, but the best way to make sure they don't win is to tell everyone what they did.

I don't believe so. I've known three Guardians since I've been here, and none of them have been dictators at all.

I think I know what prompted you to ask this question. There was a time when someone tried to overthrow Attleton's Guardian. We took care of him, and he hasn't been heard from since. We'll do the same to anyone else who tries to overthrow a Guardian. You have my word on that.

However, I haven't encountered the situation when a fairly elected Guardian has turned out to be a ruthless dictator. I would imagine they would lose their position of they did.

Yes...and I will do what I can to protect Fayren, even if I don't become the elected Guardian.

I don't know. If there are other murderers they might vote for them, because they might be able to get away with more. This place doesn't pull people based on whether it would get others killed or not, so the only way to prevent it is to elect and vote for people who aren't that crazy and terrible.

My name is Azalea.

[She'd ask for his name in return, but since he's anon, he'd probably want to continue hiding his identity.]

Each city has a Guardian. That way no one person has too much power...or something. Politics aren't really my thing, but as long as they try to do the right thing, I'm okay with it.

That anonymous person, right?

Or you're on the right track and we're all potentially screwed.

Haha.

A little, but smart bad guys don't announce their plans. I wouldn't worry about whoever that was. It's the ones who are secretly insane you have to worry about.

Which kind of makes the whole voting for the sanest person thing not as easy as it sounds.

Practice?

I haven't come across an Azalea yet. You trust her?
