I admit to being guilty of murder in this world, as well as my own. Yet no rule stops me from becoming a guardian candidate for one of the cities.
Just because I killed someone doesn't mean I couldn't be a good leader. Many murderers are actually rather capable of making good calls on important situations. Mine happened to be a more radical choice, when I decided to take Arlert's life.
My visions for Attleton aren't anything drastic. I just want to protect something I can call home, instead of wondering around without settling down. I want to be able to give a place to those who aren't very welcome in other places.
That doesn't mean I'll give the city full privileges for open murder. I'm not an idiot who would change Attleton into the murder capital, unlike some might think I am.
That's all I really have to say.

Though now I see that killing him here was a wrong move, as nothing that happens here most likely affects what happens at home.
So I won't do it again.
[If the people from his world don't attack him first, he won't attack them. At least for now. Who knows what will happen in the future.]

Are you...you're seriously trying to give me the whole weak "look at it from my perspective" argument to justify what you've done. You actually think that it matters. [He raises his eyebrows, incredulous, before he scoffs derisively.] Maybe that would work on someone who hasn't heard the same thing from other murderers and the cowards who support them. I don't care about your perspective and I don't care about your reasons. Don't try to make it sound like you didn't have a choice in what you did because you chose to be a murderer when you got here.

Or promising that the best you can do is not turning something into murder capital.
You might need real help winning this.

It would be easier if someone else did the campaigning.
[Not that he had the confidence to actually win or the burning desire to. It would just be a bonus and he hates to back down when he's seemingly made it into a fight.]
