4th Aura | Video

[When the video starts Jaune just looks tired. Tired and aggravated, and it's apparent in his voice.]

I can't believe I have to say this, but since there's nothing stopping people who have committed murder here from running for City Guardian, apparently I do. You shouldn't vote for actual murderers like Reiner Braun and Roman Torchwick unless you like the idea of trusting an entire city to someone who either admits they murdered someone and does a bad job of even showing any regret or someone who's questionably claiming they're redeemed after...a few weeks? Even if he does claim he's trying to make up for his mistakes, you don't just suddenly lose all of your bad habits like criminal acts in a short amount of time and try to take on that kind of position without an ulterior motive.

This whole thing is stupid. It's stupid. I'm done talking about it. Just...if you want to know more about the crimes they committed while they were here, I can answer your questions. I doubt I'll convince other murderers unless they want the position for themselves.

I wasn't here when that plan was made, so I can't take credit. But don't worry, your team still holds the crown for 'sneaky, underhanded murder'. I don't think we'll ever be able to top the death toll at Beacon that night, all because we let you in...[She just stops at that point because she hates remembering that day and if she gets as angry as she has in the past she won't be able to stop shaking and damned if she gives Emerald Sustrai the satisfaction.]

There wouldn't be a point. You can't kill anyone here. [But they can make sure that she pays for Beacon and Blake's not complaining about the how.]

You didn't let us in. You made me your friend. You trusted me.

[ SHe's happy to push Blake into getting really pissed off. ]

Though, again, I didn't kill anyone that day besides a stray Grimm or two. You can be as mad as you want since I already admitted to nudging it into happening, but I can do whatever I want. I don't need any handouts from brats who've been given too much power.

[ Emerald changes tones slightly, deciding to let it lie. Mostly because she sees what Blake's getting toward. ]

Either way- all the faunus that died that day are still your fault, not Torchwick's, which is what this whole thing started about anyway. You already admitted you took advantage of a hole in his defenses and launched off what he was going to do too early, which is what resulted in all of the deaths you just tried to blame on him. You're just trying to sling dirt because you know I'm right.

[Incredulous and pissed, even.] Given too much power?! What power, the power of having homework? Is that what you tell yourself? We were going to school and doing pretty much what every hunter and huntress were doing and anyone who wants that 'power' could sign up. You didn't have a problem helping Cinder grab power! At least no power I ever got was stolen!

No. Even with what happened at Beacon, even unprepared like we were, we had an exit strategy. We had a way to evacuate people. Torchwick didn't care about the people that followed him. If he did, he could have planned something similar. You can't tell me he didn't know those tunnels were dangerous. If he did, if he didn't care and he didn't he's even stupider than I ever could have imagined. [And how how HOW Adam, could you let someone like that lead them? Why? If it were unavoidable, if you were coerced even, you could have taken them yourself or someone more trustworthy and capable than TORCHWICK.]

That was a dig at the 'City Guardian Schnee' having a bunch of undeserved power and all of you just lining up behind her, but sure. Get really mad about it, Blake.

[ As if Emerald would feel bad that anything she had was stolen. No one ever gave her anything, no one ever let her have the opportunity for more besides Cinder. ]

Wait--

[ It looks like she almost wants to laugh. This is exactly why she hates people like this. ]

Someone else didn't prepare ahead to save them from you, so you murdering them isn't on your heads?

I wasn't here when Weiss became a guardian, but unless things changed a lot, then she's in office because people voted her in. What is your deal with my teammate anyway? She granted two of your associates amnesty. Does it bother you that she actually earned the respect and trust that she's been given?[Weiss does come into conversation often with this one. Is she really that jealous?]

[And this twisting of things to suit your version is what she hates about people like you, Emerald.] We didn't just decide to murder them. They were going to harm the city. We had to pick one, so we picked the innocent people who were not plotting chaos and destruction. Unless I got it wrong and Torchwick was planning charity events with them, he dragged them into whatever stupid scheme of the day he cooked up, so yes, I'm blaming him.
unhappy: (Walk it off Mercury.)

[ Yeah, she granted Mercury and Roman amnesty and took Cinder away. She hates Roman and only worked with him because Cinder said to. Add onto that the fact that she always has everything and Emerald always has nothing, there's a lot of loathing going on. Though she hates Blake just as much for different reasons. ]

She locked up one of them without even bothering to offer anything because of what happened in your world, then freed the two who actually did something here.

[ Because Emerald doesn't know how any of the crimes besides burning Weiss's hologram would've been found out. Or maybe she doesn't want to think about it, because that would mean she'd lose even more of her ability to trust anyone. ]

How'd that work out for you with saving all those people? [ Emerald's sure they're all dead now anyway. ] Either way, you and I both know that just because you say it really hard it doesn't make it true. You killed those Faunus, after your team barged in where they didn't belong, which caused Torchwick to act in a way he wouldn't have had to if things had gone to plan. The wall wouldn't have even been breached that day if it weren't for you.

[ She sounds like she's telling the truth, but then again, Emerald always does. ]

[Blake was satisfied that at least Emerald had shut up about Weiss.]

'What happened in our world?' [She's looking at Emerald in a way that suggests she's wondering if she really could be that stupid.] What thing are you referring to? Could it be something Cinder engineered?

[She won't say more because every time she thinks of what happened to Beacon that night and the horror Cinder brought on them all, with still, as far as Blake can tell, no reason at all it just incenses her all over again and it's draining.

Hashing it out with this in denial brat, even more so. She's staying away from that subject because she just can't. Every time she revisits it....and Adam. Whether it ends with her killing him or not, that's a wound that will never heal. There are images she'll never get out of her head.]

Ask Cinder. She's the reason they're dead - can't imagine why anyone would want to bring her to justice. And you know what Emerald, drop it because I don't think you actually care. About either side. The White Fang was trying pretty hard to kill us too - as well as many civilians, both Faunus and Human. [Something the true White Fang, the old White Fang would never have done.] I'd fight them again.

[She did try talking to some of them once. That night she cornered Torchwick. It hadn't gone well. In fact, it had been pretty disappointing. But had they hesitated just a little? If she had had more time to convince them would they have listened? Were any of them even a little doubtful about what Adam was doing and who they were working with?]
